ZONE 1 - THE HALLS OF CHRONIA

ROOM 7 - TANGLED TERRORS

 As you continue on from Lady Capilli, you go forward from where she was, or so you think. Without properly keeping track, it's getting a bit difficult to know where exactly you are in the Maze at this particular point.

However, this new room is unusual, as all of them all. The room is completely white. The walls are smooth, and unlike anything you have ever seen before. Perfect smooth. You hands cannot detect any imperfections on the walls. 

On the floor in two dimensions, starting right at the door in this new room, leading to the opposite door on the other side, is a slight bowed 6 inch black line. There is nothing else in this room.

Without approaching it, Keksi examines the line and the room for further clues.

Keksi, the line, as far as you can tell, seems "magical" in nature. Other than that, in this particular reality, it is nearly impossible to discern what it means, or what would happen. You've simply never seen anything like it before. What you CAN see is that the walls and floor are COMPLETELY unblemished.

NOTE: There is a small section where you all can stand safely on THIS side of the room, but there is no "safe" spot where you can stand on the OTHER side of the room. In addition, since the floor is completely white with no markings other than the black 6" wide line, we shall say that you have one foot of room on the entrance side where you all are "safe". Beyond that one foot buffer, if you take a step on the white, OR the black, SOMETHING will happen.

When there are no answers, bravery and intuition are called for. Keksi says a short prayer for heroism, and walks the bowed black line, careful not to touch thee white floor.

Keksi, when you look deep inside yourself, what is your greatest fear?

Keksi's greatest fear is that the spirits might abandon her, deaf to her pleas for guidance in a inscrutable world.

Alira gives the other side a suspicious look, pulls an unlit torch out of her backpack and tosses it over the line.

Keksi, the black line instantly transforms into an artistic two dimentional representation of the spirits who look over you, their backs turned away from you. It is unsettling to say the least. Throwing the torch on the floor doesnt produce any visible results, but as long as Keksi’s foot remains on thr dark area, the picture on the ground holds.

Percival will follow Keksi's lead and carefully walk across the black line.

Percival, what is your greatest fear?

Alira attempts to simply jump over the black line.

Percival's greatest fear is to be irrelevant. To go through this life and have made no difference to this world or anyone in it. It's a fear he's had since his childhood, where even his best efforts could not get his father to acknowledge him over his brothers.

Astrid will carefully follow the group walking ever so dexterous across the black line.

As both of you touch the black line, the 2D abstract representation of that fear manifests and adds itself to the image on the floor, overlapping on the previous persons fear image.. making it easier to cross. It doesnt make it any less easy to cross, as you take it slow. You can even feel the images looking at you. 

Percival will open the door to the next room.
