Oops, yes, the wolf is greatly injured by K, bites Badger, and then is finished off by Badger. Wolf 2 is dead.
No more sounds come your way. We'll stay in initiative, but unless you are surprised, you'll get the first action when it picks up again. You're welcome to move or converse as necessary until you encounter one of the remaining foes.
When you peek around the corner, you see that the passage continues over the bridge you saw earlier. A goblin stands at the other side of the bridge, watching both the stream and the passage you are now in. Because he's trying to scout both areas, you have the jump on him.
You easily dispatch the scouting goblin; it is dead. The three of you move forward.
This cavern is half filled with two large pools of water, one that has been recently emptied. A narrow waterfall high in the eastern wall feeds the pool, which drains out the western end of the chamber to form the stream that flows out of the cave mouth below. Low fieldstone walls serve as dams holding the water in, though the wall for the first pool has been removed. A wide exit stands to the south. The sound of the waterfall echoes through the cavern, making it difficult to hear.
Three goblins await word from the scout to let loose the second flood trap or to fight.
Ash also runs forward, flanking goblin 2 and slashing at it with his shortsword (19 to hit (flank advantage), 9 piercing damage), then turns to goblin 1 and slashes with his dagger (15 to hit, 6 piercing damage)
K runs in and spins in the air to crack his quarterstaff on goblin 3, flanking with Badger (20 to hit (flank advantage), 9 bludgeoning damage) then pushes forward to the remaining goblin 1 and punches it in the eye (25 to hit (crit!), 9 bludgeoning damage).
Once again, the Quote Unquote Fantastic make quick work of the goblins. All three are dead. The noise in this room from the waterfall deadens most other sounds.
Badger smiles at Ash and winks. "With all this noise, we may get the jump here. Let's clear this next room your way, Ash." He just runs into the next room, trying to get into melee with a hostile creature.
Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder.
Goblins flank each side of the entrance while a bugbear and wolf stand by the fire.
"Take this, you snarling beast!"
Battleaxe attack: 12 to hit (flank advantage), 3 slashing damage
K's readied quarterstaff action should have triggered: 24 to hit (flank advantage), 9 bludgeoning damage

Badger: "Sir Hallwinter, stay here. We'll clear out the cave and hopefully find Mr Rockseeker, then get you both to safety."
Ash hands Sildar one of his daggers for protection, gives him a curt nod, and then leads the way east towards the bridge.
