Goblin 1 shouts in goblin again, "Kill them you useless mutts!" He throws a pan at Ash. (15 to hit, 2 bludgeoning)
Goblin 2 grabs a hatchet and runs around tables to get just east of Ash, slashing at him. (18 to hit, 3 slashing)
Goblin 4 runs over the table, past K, to just north of Badger, carrying an empty pot, which he swings at Badger's legs. (23 to hit (crit!), 4 bludgeoning)
Goblin 6 looks at the table for a weapon, but finding none, goes to bite Ash. (20 to hit, 2 piercing)
Goblin 7 cuts at K with his steak knife. (14 to hit (-dodge; or it was a crit!), miss)
Badger regrips his battleaxe. "Ooh I like this thing." Then he grimaces from getting clobbered by a kitchen pot. He slashes at goblin 4. (14 to hit, 5 slashing). He circles the newly cut goblin to get north of K.
K once again swings his quarterstaff (6 to hit (another nat 1!)) then gets angry and headbutts goblin 7 (23 to hit, 7 bludgeoning)
Ash cuts at goblin 6 (21 to hit (+flank), 9 piercing (+sneak)) then moves south and attacks goblin 4 (12 to hit) but is off balance because of rubble in the area.
Goblin 1 hisses, "Kill! Are you stupid farts good for anything!? Kill them!" He grabs a cleaver and throws a teapot at Badger (17 to hit) but it glances off your armor. He moves down in front of the door to the east.
Goblin 2 throws another pan at Badger (13 to hit) but it too bounces harmlessly off his armor.
Goblin 4 is cornered and hurt. He disengages and flees to the southern watch tower.
Badger touches K on the shoulder and feels the power of Tyr flow through his fingers (Lay on Hands, K gains 15 HP). He then rushes into melee with goblin 1. "Quit throwing stuff at us!"
K feels a ton better, "Thanks, Badger," and rushes up to goblin 2, swinging his quarterstaff (13 to hit, 9 bludgeoning) then moves at goblin 1 and jump kicks him (8 to hit)
Ash pulls out his shortbow and fires at goblin 1 (11 to hit) but misses. He walks around the south of the tables and climbs up onto the east table.
A stone brazier full of coals glows in the middle of this small barracks. Four straw pallets are lined up along the east wall. The wall to the south has collapsed, but a barred wooden door in that direction is still clear. A curtain hangs in an archway to the north.
Two hobgoblins stand guard in this room. They are armored and grab their longswords when you enter.
Ash whispers: "Nice one, Badger. Where do you think that one was running to?"
Badger: "I don't know; probably for backup. I'm worried that there are more goblins or hobgoblins that way. Should we try this barred door? Perhaps it's where they are keeping Gundren?"
K goes to listen at the southern door. Perception: 18
K, through the crack in the door, you see that the upper floors of this tower have collapsed to create a hollow silo at least thirty feet high, with the upper reaches of the room are lost in shadows. Dust, rubble, and broken glass cover the floor, and old worktables and bookshelves lie strewn to the south. In the middle of the room is a hulking beast that looks like a mangy bear with an owl's head. It is sleeping restlessly, but you've just managed to not wake it.

Goblin 1 whimpers. He Disengages with Nimble Escape and runs through the door, then another exterior door, then Dashes into the woods.

Badger shrugs. "Let's keep looking for Gundren."
K nods.
Ash hurries to the arrow slit. If he can see the goblin, he'll take a shot with his shortbow. Perception: 14; 22 to hit, 6 piercing
Ash: You saw some movement under a tree and let loose an arrow, then heard another whimper and still more footsteps running away.
Badger: "How are we feeling? Do you have enough energy to keep moving?"
K: "Your hands-energy thing helped me a lot, thanks."
Badger: "Don't call it hands-energy thing; call it Lay on Hands."
K: "Your Lay on Hands energy thing helped a lot, thanks."
Ash: "I'm feeling pretty bruised by all those pots and pans, but I can keep going. Just be ready with some of your healing magic, Badger."
Badger: "Will do, let's go." He leads the group east.
You peak around a heavy curtain to find an otherwise pitch-black room. There's another curtain to the north and a door to the east and west.
Map:
Badger: "I expect they'd keep Gundren deep in the castle. Shall we continue east?"
Ash shrugs.
K shrugs and nods.

Ash runs in and ducks north, swinging his shortswords at hobgoblin 1 (21 & 12 to hit, 7 piercing)
Badger runs in between the two hobgoblins. He swings his battleaxe at hobgoblin 2 (22 to hit, 8 slashing)
Hobgoblin 1 returns the attack from Badger (23 to hit (+flank; crit!), 14 slashing)
Hobgoblin 2 runs north through the curtains; Ash and Badger both may take opportunity attacks.
Then K is up!
Ash shortsword opportunity attack (13 to hit; miss)
Badger battleaxe opportunity attack (18 to hit, 4 slashing)
K runs to the south of hobgoblin 1 and attacks with his quarterstaff (25 to hit (crit!), 12 bludgeoning)
Hobgoblin 2 doesn't make it through the curtains, getting cut down by Badger's battleaxe.
Hobgoblin 1 falls to Kristofferson's quarterstaff.
Combat has ended.

K says, "I hear deep breathing. It might be him." He removes the bar and peaks in to the door. Stealth: 20
Badger readies his battleaxe and moves to flank the door should there be guards inside.
Ash backs away north, in case others come through the curtain.
