Talorin ponders. "If the wraiths were chanting about wanting the Ve-" he looks at Sarcille and catches himself. "You-know-who-ans to die, might we be able to come to a diplomatic resolution of sorts? Not that I'm much comforted by leaving such creatures around."
"I'm not much for stealth here with my plate armor." he says, "But I too could see the library as a course of action. We're still well-rested and it wouldn't do to meet up with that group when we're weaker."
Bonus Action: Convert a 2nd level spell slot to 2 sorcery points
I was hoping one of them would be able to tell us where the other two nobles are being held.
Mercer looks at Necyra, an evil grin spreading across his face. "The others? Well, we have a few cells made from storage closets and side rooms, secured with strong locks and guarded. But as I recall, we only have three prisoners left. One of them has already begun the ritual of sacrifice."
"Galgin is the head of our cult and our true leader. He sends us to find sacrifices for Vecna, people who have been infected by one of his secrets. We find them and bring them here, so Galgin can offer their life force to Vecna through a ritual. The more knowledge of secrets the sacrifice possesses, the stronger Vecna becomes. This last group of sacrifices has the most to offer of any we have seen before."
Three votes for the library, good enough for me. You all get a surprise round because of the scouting and stealth'ing. Make sure you all have at least one DM inspiration point as well.
The long, low shelves of this room are canted at irregular angles due to the uneven stones in the floor. The shelves are crammed with books, scrolls, and folios. Four robed cult fanatics stand near the south shelves instructing two ghouls to tidy up the books. Three mages have recently entered the room and are criticizing the cultist's work.
A stone coffin rests against the north wall, its top carved to look like pages of an open book. Engraved on the book’s pages is a name: Ayren Griffynstone.
Once again, Talorin sees the mages as high-priority. But this time he tries another approach, causing things to begin to slow.
Action: Slow on M1, M2, M3, CF1, CF2, CF3 Possible Reaction: Silvery Barbs on any Mage that succeeds the saving throw. If multiple options, prioritizing the one with the most hit points. (Depending on if this takes place before/after others damage.) If all three mages fail the save, then on a cult fanatic that succeeded the saving throw. With Advantage die to Yurgojin. DC WIS 19 On fail, -2 AC, -2 to DEX Saves, no reactions, on its turn may only use an action or bonus action, does not benefit from multiattack, and if casting a spell of 1-action time must roll a d20. On 11+ the spell does not take effect until next turn and the creature must use its action to complete the spell.
Mysleen runs into the library and shouts at the top of her lungs, "Hello, bastards! Let's get this party started, shall we?"
She will position herself to be within range of M2 to cast Aganazzar's Scorcher for 7 fire damage (DC 17 Dex save for half), and will then use Bardic Inspiration to give each of her allies within 60 feet of her an extra 1d10.

Hi there! My name's Elk. I'm NoiSilverheart's doppelgänger. I'm a demi/grayromantic, socially awkward Okie who may or may not be a pyromaniac. *random confetti blast*
I'm a warlock of the Archcrone, and my patron is TheFriendlyArchfey. I was nicknamed AchatesCervus8337 by VitusW and given the titles "Swashbuckling Scorcher", "The Unpredictable Jedi", "Burning Fury of the Ancients", and "Combustion Knight" by DrummerBoyDragonSlayer.

Bridgette decides she isn't in the mood to keep getting hit... so, she casts summon shadowspawn with a pact slot into the middle of the bad guys. Cast at 5th-level, the shadowspawn has 65 hp, 16 AC, and two attacks with a +11 modifier. She chooses the Fury form. With her bonus action, she activates her Form of Dread (for reasons that will be apparent in the not-too-distant future...) She gains 16 temp HP (sadly replacing her Armor of Agathys temp HP, but she's planning to stand back for this fight).
That's Bridgette's turn... but the Shadowspawn goes right after her. It makes 2 attacks against the nearest mage (with advantage because they're surprised)

Necyra, seizing the opportunity and recognizing the mage M1's vulnerability, acts swiftly. Her eyes blaze with a cold fire as she raises a hand. A mote of radiant energy erupts from her fingertips, streaking towards mage M1. Necyra casts Sacred Flame on M1; M1 must succeed on a DC17 DEX saving throw of take 5 radiant damage.
While M1 faces his potential demise, Necyra doesn't waste a moment. With a flick of her wrist and a terse command, she directs her pixies: "Confuse them all!"
Her eight pixies, buzzing in an invisible chaotic cloud above, erupt in a shower of iridescent light. The shimmering motes rain down upon all six remaining enemies as the pixies cast Confusion.
OOC: Edit to the above- there are 8 pixies, and 9 enemy (I completely forgot about the two ghouls, G1 and G2). The Confusion spell is one pixie casting a spell on one enemy, so 8 enemy should be covered (skip M1, since Necyra is hopefully killing it with her spell). Each enemy must pass a DC12 WIS saving throw, or else they're confused (roll a 1d10 and see the embedded table to figure out what they do).
This spell assaults and twists creatures' minds, spawning delusions and provoking uncontrolled action. Each creature in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on a point you choose within range must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw when you cast this spell or be affected by it.
An affected target can't take reactions and must roll a d10 at the start of each of its turns to determine its behavior for that turn.
d10
Behavior
1
The creature uses all its movement to move in a random direction. To determine the direction, roll a d8 and assign a direction to each die face. The creature doesn't take an action this turn.
2-6
The creature doesn't move or take actions this turn.
7-8
The creature uses its action to make a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach. If there is no creature within its reach, the creature does nothing this turn.
9-10
The creature can act and move normally.
At the end of each of its turns, an affected target can make a Wisdom saving throw. If it succeeds, this effect ends for that target.
