Balmaris for one of the few moments in his life is rather happy to see the sunlight streaming down upon him and he soaks up its energy. Having almost died on multiple occasions while in the house with no sense of divine interventions, his faith in the so called Raven Queen has wavered even more.. He quietly contemplates his place in the world and is bolstered by the warm energy pouring over him, he almost seems to absorb bits of it before your eyes. When he turns to face the remainder of the party, you see the faint glow of the sun fade from his eyes, perhaps its a trick of the light, because you have spent so much time indoors recently, or perhaps it is something more. Either way he smiles upon those assembled.
"Thank you, without your help I would never have survived that place. I can not speak for Rynna, but seeing as our Commanders are already missing us, as repayment for your kindness I offer my services to the rest of you and your journey." and with that he bows.
The weight of her spellbook is comforting as Rynna finishes the last touches of the spells she'd been working on. With all the pressure to use her magic, it was coming easier now; her mind making great strides in knowing how spells were structured. The trick to rendering herself invisible and making illusory copies of herself now seemed... routine. If only her village could see her how!
They were out of the creepy house, too but she wasn't certain at all of her surroundings. They looked nothing like where she and Belmaris had been before they'd been sucked into the house.
As far as normal, it doesn't look abnormal specifically. It's definitely not the place you left, the somewhat gray overcast feeling, with the oddly configured houses is still foreign to you. However, the mist has pulled back from the house, though a faint waist-height fog still blankets the street. Though none are meteorologists, it's clear that the mists that were there and this fog are totally different things. No sound cuts the silence except for mournful sobbing that echoes through the streets from a distance.
Those of you that looked at such things, recognize some of the designs as being Barovian in nature, from the books in the house. And everything seems to lack the flash and flare of any of the cities you may have been in throughout your past.

That house was full of abominations. Ghosts, ghouls, shadow creatures that sapped your strength as they attacked you, that hulking plant creature. Even the doors were evil! And Adric didn't know much about who this Strahd was, but if the inhabitants of the house were praising him, then he couldn't have been a good person. Adric swore to Tymora that he would make it his mission to smite Strahd, as well as any of the abominations that served him.

Gralwynn and Creak head off into the bedroom and re-open the chest. As Gralwynn takes the cloak out of the top of the chest, the two unadorned walls burst open and a pair of gray, pallid creatures climb out, making awful hissing shrieking sounds.
COMBAT! PCs may act. The creatures are all ~10 feet from you when they burst through the walls.
With a flourish Gralwynn's arms recede into her body, save a finger or toe from each limb, which elongate and strengthen.
Gralwynn has wild shaped into a [creature]Riding Horse[/creature]! She'll allow Creak to jump on before bolting towards the kids room with all 60ft of her movement.
(Woo! Creak also took no damage in that fight, so I’m good, woo!)
