The creatures pursue the fleeing horse that miraculously appeared in their midst, however, they are definitely slower than Gralwynn. If you continue evading, you do make it, with some cramped motions, to the others outside the house. You can hear the creatures shambling behind you for the first few seconds, and then they seem to stop, not willing to leave the subterranean space.

(OoC: Um, I said the kid's room)

(Apologies, when you arrive there, nothing is to be found. Almost as if the childrenghosts never existed.)

Gralwynn tries to grab the doll in her horse mouth before leaving.

(OoC: wait, no ghosts, or no ANYTHING?)

(No ghosts. The doll is still there, though it crumbles to dust when you pick it up)

Gralwynn continues to outside the house, shakes Creak off, before transforming back into her elven form, looking slightly more disheveled than usual. 

Taking one of the torches, she tosses it into the entrance, and uses Control Flames to spread it to the walls of the house.

"Horrible house, let's be done with it." she puffs, spitting out a clump of dust and hair. "Now, where are we going?"

Creak squints at her and slow claps, making a small little confetti noise to go along with it.

"I take it you did not find what you were searching for?" As Balmaris watches the house light ablaze.

The house takes a few minutes to catch fully alight, but catch it does. In relatively short order, it has become a towering inferno, complete with ebon smoke rolling into the hazy gray sky above. However, it doesn't seem to attract any attention and you see no one watching you.

Gralwynn pulls out the cloak she got from the chest "Just this. Maybe when that damned structure is ash we can dredge up the rest of that chest, it was underground, so it should be fine."

(OoC: alright, applying level up.)

Gralwynn, remembering the rites of worship from some deep corner of her mind, and her faith in well... someone... peaking, she begins to channel the divine energies of her patron god throughout her body, becoming a cleric!

Adric cracks a bit of a half-smile upon seeing the house go up in flames. Good riddance, we should have put the house to the torch when we laid eyes upon it. "Well, judging from the sobbing that I hear, it sounds like someone is in need of help. So I'd say that we go towards that."

"I agree, Adric.  Perhaps they can also tell us more about where we are," Rynna suggests.

Creak nods sagely, giving two soft dings in agreement. He will begin scouting towards the house.

"So North then?"

As you proceed through the muddy streets, the sobbing becomes more and more identifiable. The buildings continue to be somber looking, grays and blues.

Adric picks up the pace as he hears the sobbing and motions for everyone else to follow suit.

Gralwynn follows Adric and taps his sword, casting the cantrip Light making it shine a bright golden light.

"Wassat?" She asks, "Some fancy Paladin power?"
