Khessa's armor and battle reflexes allows her to avoid the attacks and, as she uses the Greataxe to deflects a lunge from Pirate1, she drives the mighty blade in circle, aiming at his collarbone...
"Let's finish the wounded first, my friends!" Khessa quickly advises "Many wounded, many attacks... Dead bodirs, on the other hand, don't attack anymore".
Patrons on the lower floor begin to back away from the PIRATES, mostly because their smell is such that it makes WHAUL’s aroma akin to roses.
TAZZAVUR gets a second wind, then growls and misses the third PIRATEwith his Trident.
The second PIRATE his mind still a little befuddled, loads another bolt and fires up at the Warrior guarding TARINA.
PIRATE 2 ATT9 DMG 5
The third and fifth PIRATES attack TAZZAVUR with their cutlass like Scimitars.
PIRATE 3 ATT11 DMG 4
PIRATE 5 ATT14 DMG 4
Seeing the Half-Orc strike down one the crew, the sixth and seventh PIRATEs load bolts and fire at WHAUL.

PIRATE 7 ATT18 DMG 5
(I am taking a little liberty here considering the situation. Hate to waste a good roll.)
RAYNOIR seeing the PIRATE on KHESSA fall, and then seeing the more formidable DEAD-EYE coming up the stairs, the Cleric then prays as a flash of light streaks down the stairwell striking the PIRATE CAPTAIN.
WHAUL does not like being a pin cushion. He moves and attacks the sixth PIRATE with a mace that appears to have seen a lot of action.
WHAUL ATT12 DMG 5
ELIAS waves his wand, and three glowing darts strike DEAD-EYE.
The brutish PIRATE CAPTAIN moves past the second PIRATE and engages the Warrior defending TARINA,“I will kill you all if I have to.” With a Scimitar in one hand and a dagger in the other, he attacks KHESSA.
TARINA says "No!" She touches KHESSA. (Cure Wounds for 8 points. I rolled in a Character Sheet I made for Tarina.)
(Khessa I believe would fall at -4. Then gets healed 5 at +1. She will get another Heal at the end of Round Two to get her to +9 if my math is correct.)
(Atlas is up and Tazzavur to start Round Three before the Pirates go again. It is a tough encounter for sure.)
[[ OOC: Well, not exactly... Khessa has AC 17 so she is hit only 2 times: 1) by the bolt of Pirate2, for 5 damage 2) by Dead-Eye's dagger, for another 5 damage Total: 10 damage . Khessa is wounded, that's for sure... but still standing. So, after Rahima heals her for 5 HP, she is back at 5 damage and quite able to strike back. And when Tarina decides to heal her by 8 HP more before the end of the round, she heals her completely (to Khessa's great satisfaction).
Anyway, on a side note (even if it does not matter at the moment): in 5e there are no negative HPs. Once you are brought to 0 you do not fall below that. You are dying, but still at 0, not at a negative value. So if you have, let's say, 1HP and are hit for 11 damage, you don't go to -10 HP - you still drop to 0 HP and if someone tossses you a healing for 5 HP you are back at 5HP, up and fighting, not -5HP and still dying. This is because the dying mechanics is different from previous editions. You don't die at -10HP, you either die outright for massive damage or another insta-kill effect, or die for having failed 3 death saves while at 0HP. ]]
Khessa finds herself, as one might expect, being the target of attacks from all enemies in sight; She defends herself strenuously, but the attacks are too many and from too many directions: a bolt hits her in full and, even if the chain mail prevents her from being pierced through and through, it takes her breath away - and immediately the terrible Dead-Eye. takes advantage of this to rain down blows on her, reaching an exposed spot on her thigh with the dagger.
Fortunately, Ms Sparkly invokes her sacred healing powers and the pain is considerably soothed. The blonde warrior is therefore still perfectly capable of fighting: she gains space with a swing of the handle of her Greataxe, then she swings it in a new slash, from top to bottom, towards the terrible Dead-Eye. Fortunately, Raynoir's flash of light made him easier to hit...
[[ OOC: ...And with that we're at 35 total damage dealt to Dead-Eye. Come on guys! One more round like this one and we'll get rid of the 'terrible pirate boss' - despite the fact that I'm rolling consistently below average damage. ]]
Khessa lands a hit, and the very next moment, Tarina heals her completely. The tall adventuress smiles confidently at Dead-Eye: "Are you sure it's going to go the way you say?"
Since Atlas is not within 5ft of an enemy he will drop his bow, making a mental not to pick that back up later, and draw his rapier to start stabbing at Dead-Eye.

Pirate 3 slashes at TAZZAVUR, striking him at the point his collarbone meets the base of his scaled neck, drawing a grunt from the towering Dragonborn.
Swaying slightly to the left, he briefly catches Pirate 5’s blade between the tines of his trident, turning it away.

TAZZAVUR will growl.
“Is that the best you got you mangy sea dogs? I’ll melt the flesh from your bones and dance in the goop!”
He’ll use his bonus action to Second Wind: 6+1 = 7 hp
Then attack pirate 3, stabbing forward with his trident: 10

KHESSA indeed kills the first PIRATE. It slumps down right there on the stairs.
ATLAS moves to stairs and fires down at the second PIRATE, but the shot misses left of the target.
