"There many be others, Henry and Gaelan went down there." Modoc says to Eirikur as he heads back below deck. "Watch out, the smoke is thick." Modoc takes a deep breath and holds it as he goes to where he last saw Gaelan.
As Modoc moves the last person on deck to the boat and briefs him on the conditions below, Eirikur follows Modoc below, also holding his breath. He will be on the lookout for anyone else who may still be injured but alive.
Gaelen, Modoc, and Erikur you all hear the sound of shattering porcelain and the sound of wet splatter against the cabin wall. Could be water or perhaps blood.
Hearing the splatter that could be blood sets Eirikur's teeth on edge. His eyes widen and his heart rate becomes rapid and loud. Loud enough that he can hear it pounding in his ears. Eirikur will ready his spear as Modoc works on the door. He will be looking to attack anyone with zeal who is harming the workers on the boat.
Modoc looks a little surprised that the door held. The surprise turns into wave of anger crossing his face until he sees Gaelan holding a crowbar. "Can I borrow that?" He'll try again with the crowbar to open the door, if Gaelan is willing.
With the crowbar the door is splintered open, and the party sees a grisly scene before you with man slumped against the bed with his head caved in, with blood spatter across the floor and cabin wall.
Standing before the dead man is a twisted abomination. The abomination stands as a blasphemous mockery of life. Its hulking frame is forged from slabs of corrupted flesh, fused unnaturally with molten ghost. There is a haunting chorus of wails emanating from the creature. Patches of its sinewy skin are twisted and charred, revealing cracks filled with glowing embers deep within. These fiery veins pulse like a heart made of flame, casting a flickering orange light from within the creature.
Its face is a grotesque visage, as though it was once human but warped by something unnatural. Its eyes are twin embers, hollow and blazing with an intense heat that seems to burn away at its own being. Where its mouth should be, a jagged opening expels puffs of smoke and ash with every tortured breath, as if the very air it inhales is consumed by its fiery core.
There are fused fabrics that when taken a closer look tells this abomination was a crew member or perhaps even the skipper.
Eirikur regards the dead man with a frown that presses his lips into a thin line. He looks to the twisted abomination and, noting the uniformed clothing of the vessel, begins to lower his spear. Too late. He thinks to himself.
"Who goes there? What happened here?" He calls out with a dying hope. Eirikur does not expect a response.
"He is a member of the crew and could be foe or victim. If the latter, he may not be in control of himself... like a werewolf." He whispers to Modoc and Gaelan. "Be ready to defend yourselves."
Eirikur continues to lower the spear, but not so much that he would be unprepared for an attack, and raises his shield against the emanating heat.
Modoc calls down the hall, "Henry, we may have found the cause of this destruction if you're able to join us.". Listening to Eirikur, he readies an attack if this creature becomes hostile.

Gaelen, Modoc, and Erikur you all hear the sound of shattering porcelain and the sound of wet splatter against the cabin wall. Could be water or perhaps blood.
There is no answer to your call
Now do you open the door to cabin 6?
Modoc will look to the others for any ideas, but will shoulder-check the door to open it if it seems locked.

The door budges slightly. Yes, you can use a crowbar giving the user advantage.
Modoc looks a little surprised that the door held. The surprise turns into wave of anger crossing his face until he sees Gaelan holding a crowbar. "Can I borrow that?" He'll try again with the crowbar to open the door, if Gaelan is willing.
Of course! Gaelan hands over the crowbar.

(Yes, I was waiting for the next roll)

Henry tries to help but he only encounters dead crewmembers.
