Halila didn't have anything she really wanted to do in the city. Once she had retrieved her belongs, she stopped to make sure they got their gold and was ready to depart. Following Esta's suggestion, she does ask one of the casino employees if they might be able to direct them to the proper statue. She proposes heading directly there.
"Listen folks, before we head off. I think I'll need to grab a few supplies. We don't know how long we will be away from... normal... civilization. I only have a few rations and no potions, so I think I would like to stock before we go."
Esta starts to make her way with the party to collect their 300 gold pieces - which should be enough to hopefully get what she needs. Maybe some caltrops, or oooh smoke bombs... Esta thinks to herself, making mental notes and plans to herself of all the potential options she has.
"Yeah! I'm gonna need to pick up some tools and supplies as we." The goblin says as he pats his coin pouch. "I bet a place like this has all kinds of exotic goods..."
Tyriel stays utterly quiet though the exchange, millions of thoughts running through his head. Great, so now he's stuck dealing with this vixen who is likely some sort of criminal (she has to be if she's running the casino), and he can't go to the law because apparently they won't even let him explain how he didn't break the rules of the multiverse... cause obviously he hasn't. What would that have done to his soul? The whole idea goes against the very essence of his being... but... what if... no. Could it be? Is that why...
He shakes his head vigorously as they leave the room, trying to rid himself of unpleasant thoughts. He doesn't care about the 300 gold. He doesn't even want to touch it, but right now he doesn't seem to have much of a choice.
Then everyone starts talking about shopping and... well honestly he hadn't even thought of that. He really doesn't even know what it is he could need. He isn't exactly used to having to buy anything for himself, or worry about food, or anything for that matter. Good grief. What is he supposed to do with himself?
Of course, he isn't really sure he wants to say that so he'll just awkwardly go along with what the others are planning. Maybe if they buy something it'll give him a better idea of what he might need...
(What is available? If there were any unique items then certainly RP it! I'm assuming though it's basically what is available in the Player's Handbook at Player's Handbook prices? Could we haggle down prices? I think Halila might get short swords and upgrade armor if others are shopping. )
(You can find just about anything in Sigil, being the center of the multiverse. Any basic equipment can easily be found somewhere in the Great Bazaar for normally listed prices, though you can certainly try haggle if you wish. There could be more unusual wares around too, although depending on what it is that you're looking for exactly, you might have to look in more unscrupulous places.)
(Halila will get Studded Leather Armor and two short swords. And ideally trade away her Leather Armor as part of it. She's expecting just to get standard items, though she does have a bit to spend, so maybe if there's something a little fancy she'd look at that. And of course she would try to haggle a deal of some sort!)
And so you all finally leave the casino and it's questionably proprietor, but with the hope of possibly learning more about your mysterious situation. You start wandering through the vast city again, heading first toward the Market Ward, where the majority of typical shops and merchants are found (although it is far from the only place) and begin looking for the items you need. The basic supplies and such are not too difficult to come across eventually in the Grand Bazaar (think any massive open air market) including a gem for Sizzle (yes, you can pick any gem worth 100g).
The Bazaar is a truly magnificent place, as all manner of creatures from across the multiverse are here, both buying and selling wares mundane and exotic. Halila would be perhaps intrigued by a rather boastful human lady, well built and clearly experienced though, who is selling various armors and weapons supposedly made from monsters she's killed. Perhaps ironically, there is a stall next door run by a gnome who is offering jobs for monsters to guard various treasures and locations. The human lady though, introduces herself as Lady Primrose van Shein, who gladly shows off her obviously curated selection for Halila, including some studded leather armor made from the hide of a basilisk. It is not magical, but it does have the unique texture and comes with a complimentary basilisk fang. Her asking price is 100g.
Once you are done shopping here shortly, I will ask everyone for a Skill Check of your choice (like stealth) to make it to the statue without being caught by the Harmonium.
Halila finds the basilisk armor intetesting, though a little expensive. She also examines the fang with curiosity. (OOC - is it a weapon? Just a decoration? Investigation: 16 if needed)
"It's a bit expensive. Though certainly intetesting," she starts. "Would you accept 75 gold? And I could give you my current leather. It's not fancy, but perhaps you could use the material for future projects?"
Zakhar takes the coin hesitantly, he's still not sure about any of this but also feels like he doesn't have much of a choice but to go along with it. He accompanies the others while they shop, but seems disinterested in shopping for himself. Instead he ops for keeping an eye out for potential trouble.
Unforunately for Zakhar, the Bazaar is both a blessing and a curse, as it is so busy that you are easily seen, but also not particularly taken note of either with so many people going about. He does see a strange creature, humanoid, conversing with another similar one perhaps? This wouldn't be remarkable except that there are symbols that appear over their foreheads and their lips don't move.
The hunter lady eyes Halila a bit and then chuckles. "Going for a bargain eh? This was quite a kill though, nearly lost my leg to it! I'll give it to ya though for 85 gold, what do you say? Look smart on ya I think."
After purchasing his few mundane tools and supplies, along with a shiny black Jet gemstone and pearl... the weight of his backpack begins to strain his shoulders. gritting his teeth he makes the decision to sell his modified crossbow and bolts, taking a moment to remove the magics that he had infused into the item. The goblin frowns as he sells the item and he quickly goes to work looking for a suitable replacement... perhaps something more magical...
(ooc: would I be able to find someone selling wands? Also I think I would like to buy a pearl in case I ever want to cast identify. In your opinion if I were to buy a pearl... would I be able to use that for my homonculous and ALSO use it as a spell component for the identify spell?)
(You can definitely find a wand vendor, especially one selling basic sticks for wands but they may have actual magical ones too. But no, I don't think the pearl would work for both. The pearl would be used for the heart of the homunculus and thus inaccessible for casting a spell.)
Halila smiles. "You've got a deal Lady Primrose van Shein!" She pays the woman the 85 gp in exchange for the armor - plus the bonus basilisk fang.
(OOC - Was she able to tell anything about the fang from Investigation in the last post? Also, she'd been looking to get 2 short swords. Is that something she can find? I presume that's someone different than this woman selling armor?)
The two creatures catch Zakhar's attention. He'd seen a lot of strange people in his life, but those two seem different. They don't seem to be using telepathy... could they be one of those drone things the vixen was talking about? Trying not to look conspicuous, he taps Esta on the shoulder. "Hey, do those two look suspicious to you? Or is it just me?" He says quietly as he gestures towards the two creatures.
Esta follows the party around town - minding her own business. She's obtained her goods, her satchel is packed and she's eager to leave behind these streets - even if it's only temporary solace. This whole city gives her the creeps. She's absent-mindedly browsing some trinkets in the bazaar when Zakhar taps her shoulder, pointing out the 2 humanoids.
Esta glances for a moment, asking Zakhar "What makes you think they are being strange?" as she tries to watch their movements without bringing attention to herself.

(The fang is probably just decoration. And yes, general equipment like short swords can be found without too much difficulty. They aren't great, but they are serviceable.)
As Zakhar and Esta watch the strange persons, as best you can tell they are having a conversation, but it is probably unlike any you've ever experienced.

Esta would purchase the following items:
All set and ready to go.
ooc: sorry life has been crazy lately. Sizzle would look for the following...
1 x alchemist supplies 50g
1x smith's supplies 20g
1xwoodcarvers supplies 1g
1x gem worth 100g (can I pick any?)
