You head out, borrowing some axes from some local loggers to aid your ruse (anything additional to logging axes you will need to purchase) and head off. Etriel can make a survival check (I assume it will be Etriel) with advantage from someone helping, to check for any moose tracks on your way to the edge of the forest, if you so wish.
While we trek through the woods, Cirim will occasionally make the sound of Axe on Tree and an occasional sound of a tree falling, hoping to lure the moose!
Was that survival roll with guidance included? It was dc15 to find tracks, so if it wasn't, as soon as you add it you will pass (and I've never seen Etriel not cast guidance on herself before a skill check when it's not time restricted)
The module rules it as a 1 in 6 chance of those tracks being the right ones (and not an ordinary moose). It also states you spend 1d4 hours following the tracks before finding if it is the white moose or nornal moose...
While that could work for a live game, it is much too tedious for pbp (although your logging tactic would also have a decent chance of saving the endless searching) so I doubled the chance of it being the white moose. That ended up being irrelevant though as my roll would have been the white moose anyway.
The tracks lead to a large, circular indentation in a snowy hillside. Rising from the middle of this circle is a triangular gnomon of beautifully carved crystal that stands twenty feet tall. A ten-foot-high berm hugging the circle’s eastern edge has evergreens growing around and atop it, sheltering what looks like a sarcophagus buried under snow and enclosed by a half-circle of pale blue crystal pillars. North of the berm is a delicately carved gazebo made of marble, and south of the berm is a row of outward-facing, white marble statues atop granite pillars.
Etriel make a survival check. Everyone (including Etriel) make an arcana check. These are checking if you pick something up instinctively, so can't benefit from guidance

Cirim would give guidance to any checks we make out of combat if it makes sense.
Etriel, you are pretty sure this area should have been on the route you took to get to Lonelywood. But somehow you passed it by.
Thinking closer, you, Neldak and anyone else with arcana over 15 senses some subtle magic. It feels ancient, but you get the sense that if you weren't following the tracks, you would never have made it here. Something so subtle that you wouldn't have noticed was trying to direct you around the whole hillside.
"Definitely, Lord Neldak," Etriel Darastrix inhales slowly through her delicate elven nose, as if savoring the faint scent of subtle magic. "My instinct tells me that ancient magic is at work here."
"Just think, on the way there, we must have passed practically right by this place..." the foreign traveler states with the confidence of someone who has led the way, "but for some reason we weren't able to notice it. I get the sense that if we weren't following the tracks, we would never have made it here."
"And since the white moose itself seems to have something supernatural about it," the eladrin huntress concludes, "it's only logical to direct our steps to explore this new destination, preparing our hearts to face the unknown." As a first stop, unless threats arise, she heads towards the berm, more interested in the naturalness of the evergreens than in the coldness of the marbles that characterize other areas of that mysterious place.
With Leo being (I believe) fey, he is able to pass by easily, and doesn't have to track you to be able to enter. It helps our with the watching as you don't have to worry about him getting lost, and in fact, if you ever wanted to return, now Leo knows the location you can follow him (if you tried to return without something/someone to track, you would also find it impossible to get here)
I'll post the berm info shortly (or early tomorrow) once I get slightly more time
Atop the eastern berm, a granite sarcophagus rests in a half-circle defined by five crystal pillars. Clearing the snow off the lid reveals an engraving of a brazier. You also notice a carving near the top of each pillar; from north to south, these images depict a twig, a pinecone, a flame, a feather, and a humanoid hand.
Etriel Darastrix observes the engravings and carvings: "Perhaps these are the keys to... opening a path or revealing a secret?"
With evergreens nearby, the foreing traveler summons her trusty disembodied hand; the floating hand picks up a pinecone and attempts to place it first on the corresponding carving, or, if nothing happens, on top of the pillar itself.

After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Danon searches the ground and helps her locate the moose tracks…
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Etriel Darastrix's Survival: 14
Lol! Luckily, if we don't find the moose, the moose should be the one finding us - we are poor woodcutters ready to be scared...

Ok, I did not add Guidance, bur Etriel will of course help herself if allowed so ok, pass, thank you! 😀
The Eladrin Huntress leads them the party following the tracks!

Etriel Darastrix:
Survival: 23
Arcana: 17
17 Arcana for Neldak as he takes in this scene they've come upon.
Cirim would give guidance to any checks we make out of combat if it makes sense.
Cirim Arcana: 5

"Interesting. Seems to me this moose is a newer problem but the magic in this area feels older, ancient even." Neldak says. "Shall we go inside?"

"Strange, I don't sense any magic, but the place is definitely eerie."
Cirim will follow the others without complaint, keep Leo in the sky, watching!

You place it on both, and you don't notice anything changing.
