Valiant is happy someone in the group was good with directions… as well someone else as good at s res reaching for stuff…
he himself was good at talking… but it seemed this wasn’t her time for such things… and he didn’t have the first instinct about what to look for or what to think was a clue… for there was no one to drill with questions, or charm with his wit about… so he followed the group’s lead.
The ex-pirate is willing to take the lead, he pulls out a torch from his gear and lights it from Ja'Dul's torch. He awaits for the rest of the party to make it down and then starts his way down the tunnel. He examines the walls to determine if he cavern is natural or worked. Investigation (13 passive, +3): 17
As the party examined the walls' fissures and holes, something glimmered inside one of them. Then oddly enough, it began to become larger. The glimmer came closer and closer until you could see it was a beady little eyes of a giant rat going tor a bite at you. Three of the rodents come out from the holes and for some reason...they were green. Not a dark murky green but a vivid green like a spring leaf. The green rats begin to head for your group.
Roll for initiative (Map may come later in the week.)
Valiant picks up a javelin and spears one of the vomit diarrhea rats (23 to hit, 9 piercing dmg, rolled in campaign)
“We mostly let the riff raff distract us now… we are here to make a good name for ourselves!”
Valiant makes sure pushover is not front lining but also doesn’t necessarily want to be too close himself at this time… his fingers inch toward his blade if it come to that next round.
(It is a bit of a closed off space. From previous actions, the only one that's in melee of the rats would be Sigurd, as he was the only one to check the walls. The rest of the party is near the center/entry way of the cave in. The entryway is the rope. Would like to just confirm how the party stacks before I make a map, besides Sigurd. Will still take Valiant's attack as his first action when it starts.)

Valiant's javelin pierces the closest rat but despite the javelin nearly matching its size, it still stands. With the javelin still in it, it hisses at Valiant as it goes for him with a bite.
Gabriel raises his hand and sends a fire bolt to one of the rats.
Attack: 25, Damage: 9
The rat catches the bolt with its face. It gives a squeal and panics as the fire envelops its body. It begins to quiet as the rodent stops, charred and dead on the spot.
