I belive we are rich too. At least in equipment. The valuables was more or less plundered from the town so I guess we give that back in some way. Or invest it?. But we have so much magical items we cannot use.
AND we also have lots of expendables to distribute? Scroll of protections, The unidentified potions from the cultist bag. I do suspect the DM forgot one scroll with dispel magic. What was the cultist desperately searching for in it? It was not the cookbook ;)
Here is the list again:
There's a wealth of powerful equipment here. Of them, three are shields of extraordinarily high quality:
Yeah sharing with our guild recruits for sure, also some of the items we can have reforged by or Smith, Kasi, pretty sure trading with Beckeran could prove lucrative
Sorry for my abscence yesterday. I was out with a bad migraine. But it looks like you still have much to discuss!
Yes, Kasi can reforge items, or add enchantments to any items, that you would like her to work on. She's technically a fletcher, but she knows how to work a forge, and can forge or reforge any mundane item. As for enchanting, she's only a level 5 Ranger, and is limited to the spell slots available to her at that level. That doesn't mean you can't help her or pay for an NPC caster to help her forge something better.
Arcana is not a required component to forge magical items. I know what the rules say, but I don't care. Here are the requirements:
Crafting costs. If you have the item already, the cost is reduced by half).
Magical components. This is perceived as Stl value, or may require a quest. If you are enchanting a magical item, that may eschew the need for magical components.
Time spent. If you have the item to be enchanted and the magical component already, the time spent is reduced by 75%.
Profficiency with the crafting skill required to create the item.
Access to the spell that the item will be imbued with. If you're just making +1/+2/+3 magic item, then all you need is the available spell slot.
You're about to go into a few weeks of Downtime during the tribunal. At least 2, which is enough for Kasi to help make 2 Common Items or 1 Uncommon item at a severely reduced cost. But as established earlier, Merkas is in good with some Dwarven blacksmiths. There are 4 of them. Their prices are higher, but (as mentioned earlier) y'all are rich now. I don't have time to research the math, so I might be wrong about this, but I think that gives you acces to 8 more Common Items, or 4 Uncommon Items, or 2 Rare items. While the smiths can help each other to work faster, 4 smiths on one item won't speed things up. So you won't be able to make a Very Rare item in that time. But you're welcome to stay in Downtime longer to wait for Very Rare items to be made. There are no casters in town who can make anything stronger than that.
Now... about wealth.
The gold was awarded to you by the city. It was all tithes from the cultists anyway. Also... adventurers claiming the plunder they find is usually a given. If you wish to give it back to the town, you can do so. You will gain one more level of Renown (to level 4) in doing so, and your guild will become the official guild of Santekh, which means you'll get first access to the highest paying quests, and it will come with a whole new host of NPC guild members as Dependant Rays.
As a reminder, here are the ranks:
0 - Dependant Ray: May join missions acting as a representative of Dawnbound. 1 - Aspirant Flare: May also lead missions with up to 3 NPCs as a representative of Dawnbound. 2 - Reliant Blaze: May also seek out and approve bounties as a representative of Dawnbound. 3 - Reverent Aurora: May also open recruitment and appoint hirelings as a representative of Dawnbound. 4 - Assumptive Dawn: May also approve strongholds and recruitment facilities, conduct business as a representative of Dawnbound.
Your current Renown level is 3. Which means you may now promote members to Reverent Aura. Doing so, will allow members (like Kasi and Ororana) to recruit new members and assign bounties to lower level members (who will go on quests and return daily GP rewards for you) and fill the guild with various crafters, patrons, entertainers... whatever you like. NPC adventuring parties travel in packs of 4. And they can take on 1 bounty per day (1 member must be an Aspirant Ray or higher) at CR1 or below. If you gain another rank in Renown, you will have six new members besides Kasi and Ororana. But you haven't promoted anyone yet. So they'll just on standby until you want them to come with you. If you promote 2 of them to Aspirant Flare or higher (you have to get, and assign the bounties, then they just sort of deploy), they can lead 2 bounties per day at 100 Stl per day each. So that's 200 Stl per diem that your guild will be earning, provided there are no complications.
If you promote them to Reliant Blaze or higher, your per diem will be automatic, provided there are no complications.
More information about this is coming, but I have some errands to run.
Okay. Cool. I never really got to craft magical items before.
So if skipping the arcana rule. Let us say Sera like to make a magical wooden cup. She got carpentry skill. It will be infused with the cleric spell Create water 1st level. Upon uttering a word it keep fill up with water untill it have produced 10 gallons as the spell say. Then it is just a normal cup again.
As for splitting the potions and protection scrolls. Sera take one potion of Clairvoyance, 1 potion of climbing and a scroll of protection vs. Undeads.
I do not think it is more for her now of magical items.
For the money gained Sera absolutely see the need to invest in a temple. Same time. Are we to build a guildhall or something folks?
Can we get the Steel piece value of what we got then?
I've been in a hectic place, and didn't take the best notes on your treasure load. So lets say... 10,000 Stl worth of actual money in bars and coins. Gems, trinkets, and other mundane jewerly have flexible value, and will depend on your Charisma checks (and Renown) to get the best price for them. Ororana has a good reputation in town, and can probably get an upper value for them if you don't want to handle bartering. Or you could roll Charisma checks (with Advantage) to see if you can offload the booty for max value. I'll use a general DC, since it would imply you going to several vendors in town. So lets say:
Over Max Value: DC 20 (6,000 Stl to offload every bit of mundane shinies) Max Value: DC15 (5,000 Stl to offload everything) 75% Value: DC 10 (3,750 Stl to offload everything) 50% Value: DC 5 (2,500 Stl to offload everything) 25% Value: Anything below 5, you're practically giving it away at that result.
Okay. Cool. I never really got to craft magical items before.
So if skipping the arcana rule. Let us say Sera like to make a magical wooden cup. She got carpentry skill. It will be infused with the cleric spell Create water 1st level. How long and how costy will that be?
And what skill checks I need to use?
You're more-or-less referring to an Everfull Mug. I can't pull it up on DNDBeyond, but there's an old-school equvalent of it in DNDTools.
The value of it was 200 GP (Stl in this case). Raw materials would cost 100 Stl. You divide the raw materials by 10 to get your crafting time:
100/10 = 10 Days to complete the Everfull Mug.
Since the spell has no Material Component, you won't need to add the cost of that for an equal number of days. And you'll be infusing the spell daily as you craft. If the spell requires components, you'll either need to quest for them, or buy them and add that to the crafting cost for each day you spend making the mug. At the end of your crafting time, I'll roll for complications. Unless the complication specifies otherwise, you automatically succeed in crafting the item. Success is still inevitable, but if the item, or your tools are stolen, it will increase the time and cost to finish it, unless you abandon the project.
It's up to you if you want to RP working on the item during your downtime and rests, but it will at least be implied. And you can reduce the crafting time by half if you receive aid from another with the appropriate skill or magic capabilities.
Awww... Merkas is going through Magical Puberty. ☺️
Oh, a note on Relics and Ancestral Weapons.
Some of you may already have the iconic weapon/armor/clothing you love. That bond creates an Ancestral Weapon, which can be passed down to future generations. When done so, each generation can imbue it with a new kind of power.
To create an Ancestral Weapon, you will need to:
Have an emotional bond with the weapon (like Sera's Flame Sword, or Merkas's dagger, Splinter).
The weapon must already be magical or made magical by enchantment.
The weapon must be infused with a second magical property, or have the same magical property improved in your character's lifetime.
A Relic is jewerly or any non-consumable Wondrous Item, like a ring, holy symbal, bracelet, cloak, etc. Requirements for creating a Relic are the same, but the Relics are transferrable outside the bloodline. Literally anyone can use a Relic, but it will require attunement to wear.
Relics and Ancestral Weapons are considered, generally to be Very Rare or higher in Rarity. They are difficult to create and rarely seen. Most are cursed in the process of enchantment, in order to secure the item to its wearer, because otherwise, they'd be prime theif-bait.
It was insanely hard to not let you all in on how unbalanced the battle was. I dropped so many warnings anyway. Keeping her, literally, in the dark saved your party.
Merkas is interested in the ring of amnity, ring of warmth, and the efreet, if Sera is willing to relinquish it to the kender after the horn of blasting incident…
Also are we waiting for Nare to respond, or has anyone reached out to see what’s up?
17 Charisma for the trial. (I don’t have access to the ring of amity on my account, should I just create a item with the description for it)

Also, yes. You can do that. Basically clone the stats into a Homebrew and add it to your inventory. There are homebrew Rings of Amity, but their stats are different and wayyyyy broken.
Sure. It was akways Merkas. But if he ask for it...I will memorize Banishment ;)
Lol. Probably a good idea with Merkas no matter what.

Broken is fun… but I will move that given stats over.
Is it possible to have had or Have Kasi build things while we’re sequestered? Was thinking of giving her the Coyote tooth and have the ring of animal friendship crafted while Merkas is stuck inside. He really wants to be more connected to Barkly and communicate with them.

Yes. It's her primary function when she's not adventuring with you, or being dispatched on missions. Consider it done by the time the cutscene is over.

You also find several potions:
You also find six Scrolls of Protection.
of theese items Sera took Living armor and shield of Cavalier.
From wonderous items she took Deck of ilusions ( not needing attunment)
from wands she took Wand of magic misiles (not needing attunment)
from weapons she took javeling of lightning ( not needing attunment)
So if it is a ring of lesser rarity that not need attunment she take a Ring of swimming
So what is left when all of us. Orerana and Kali also get items?
