Gus reaches out to Cleo with a thought, what do you think Cleo, is it too big to make it's way through? the owl has 120 ft darkvision as well. I'll assume she makes the same assessment Eltra did, looks like it's too big. Maybe it just wants out, wonder if we reduced it's size if it would just run for the cave mouth and escape. Oh well.
Bree casts light on a crossbow bolt and shoots it down to the end of the hallway so we can see and target it it better. With it illuminated Bree casts Magic Missile at first level all three bolts hitting it for

"Take that you over grown lizard"
As soon as the bolt strikes the ground nearby, the room on the far end lights up, and indeed, what had been a blurry sense of something becomes a very very large lizard. You might even say its a GIANT lizard. After being struck by the spell, it goes into a frenzy, and begins to burrow into the oorridor, ripping the walls apart so it can fit better. I'ts not going to move very fast this way, but it is eventually going to reach you. To make matters worse, another appears behind it and starts to help. To make matters even worse, a third appears, though the third can't get at the corridor to help.
Geren looses an arrow from his shortbow into the beast in front of him. He hits the creature in the throat, grievously wounding it even if it's still as capable as before.
Dawn once again tolls the death of the wounded creature before her (the giant lizard, NOT Feydon). Being an animal, it might not know the meaning of the dolorous bell, but not knowing what it is is no protection from the spell.

DC 15 WIS save to avoid 3 necrotic damage.
I'll use that for your action in a moment, I messed up the order, its Brees turn.
Nevermind - we'll take her magic missile as her attack; so Hnefa tosses a javeln, hits, Gus fires his crossbow, hits, and the lizard looks nearly dead.... when suddenly, something can be heard chanting to the side of the lizard, and the wounded lizard in front is restored to full health! It's now Dawn's turn (you can redo your action seeing that there;'s no wounded Lizards - though if you want to toll the bell anyway, that's cool)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Toll the Dead is still likely a harder save than Sacred Flame, so stay with Toll, but it's a D8 instead of the D12 I rolled earlier.
Dawn casts Toll the Dead on the formerly wounded giant lizard. The dolorous bell likely means nothing to the lizard, but that doesn't protect it from the necrotic energies of the spell
Before heading out, Dawn gave Hnefa the 3 bottles of acid, 3 bottles of holy water, 10 days of rations, waterskin, and spare rope. If she wants them, she's welcome to the oil, lamp, torches, and Tinderbox as well.
Just saw this while looking to see why Eltra's magic missile says its used. Noted! Can't seem to see him using his MM though...
Okay - given that its the only thing he can do, Eltra casts his MM for some solid damage. Afterwards, the two lizards together burrow a little over 15 feet into the corridor, nearly halfway to you. It's now Geren's turn again at the top of the round.
Actually, it's deader than dirt lol - it looked like maybe it was going to pull through but then just expired. Feydon mirrors Geren's action again and.... Hits! Badly hurt, the third and last lizard looks like its had enough and is eyeing the way it came (when its his turn). But its not his turn, its Bree's.
Geren sees no reason to fight a giant lizard if they don't have to.
"Can't we just use the fact it can't reach us to use ranged attacks to kill it?"
"I am certain that I am uncertain....Can it get down this way, probably with some trouble...Is it currently waiting and watching us, yes."

Mirroring Geren's action, Feydon does the same, and the combined damage finally puts it down. Dawns turn.
((Would you like initiative rolls or would you like us to go ahead and take 2 to 3 rounds of range combat attacks before it closes into melee range?))

It auto intializes everyone.
You'll be up soon, Gus
Gus a crossbolt at the creature, 19 to hit for 6 pts of damage
Ok i'll do that after Bree goes - and Hnefa,
