Hello! I'm excited to announce a new project I've been thinking about for some time. I plan to run through a chronological series of classic D&D Adventures adapted for 5e2024, starting with the beginning(ish). I'll be placing some character building restrictions to maintain the narrative spirit of the old games, but I'll be using the 2024 rules.
If you're interested in hacking and slashing and filling your pockets with gold, send me your character!

POSTING EXPECTATIONS
Since this is a straight dungeon crawl, the pace will move pretty quick compared to most play-by-post games.
Still, the general expectation is to post once a day with a break on weekends. (I think a lot of us post during work hours, don't tell our bosses).
Things may pick up a little bit more during combat. I try to get through at least 1 round of combat per day during battles.
Of course, things come up (...don't get me started on the year I've had so far). So, no harm in taking some time to live your life. Just please be courteous and give the fellow players a heads up, so they know what to expect.
CHARACTER BUILDING
ABILITY SCORES: Roll and assign in order, (STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS, CHA) re-rolling ones once.
CHARACTER SPECIES: Human, Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes, Halflings, Half-Orcs
AVAILABLE CLASSES: Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Wizard, Rogue, Monk
BACKGROUND:Any (Including Custom)
DESCRIPTION: Whatever you want to say about them in 50 words or less.
LEVEL ADVANCEMENT: XP baby! Just like mom used to make.
CHARACTER DEATH
We'll be playing by Ivan Drago rules.
If a character dies, they'll be out for the adventure, and the part will have to continue with the limited support. So, sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. I leave that up to y'all! Nothing's forcing these characters to go sneakin' around in some crazy wizard's keep. So, anyone who manages to scramble out alive gets to keep their character for the next adventure.

Dax Fenrick is a lean, sharp-eyed rogue in his thirties with short dark hair and a rough stubble. Growing up on the streets taught him to keep a dagger always within reach. It made made him resourceful and wary, always ready to slip away when trouble arises or slip a hand into someone’s pocket when they are distracted.
Gnome Wizard. Originally from a family of warlocks in league with various spirits, Glaren decided he wanted to learn magic that did not owe fealty to other worldly beings.
Planning on specializing in illusions, will take Eldritch Adept feat at 4th level - Misty Visions.
Nericyne, or Neri to his friends, is a hunter from the Forest of Wyrms, specializing in the hunting and tracking of wild boars, stag, and .. goblins. He first learned of the ways of the woods when he was a young lad, a farmer of toadstools and mushrooms. He stayed in the woods longer than most, hating to come inside or cease his outdoor activities. He was assigned to be a scout and hunter by his village, he learned that he had magical means of staying alive in the woods longer than most, listening to the patterns of the woods, the rhythm of the wind and the trees, the sounds of leaves falling and what should and should not be, the natural and unnatural rhythms of the woods.
He heard tales of a mysterious land and a vast treasure, held for many years then lost by a wizard and a warrior. He travels to see his fortune, wanting to learn more of the lands outside his forest. It is foreign to him, he can so easily hide and exist in the woods, but he feels that he would only be living half a life. He makes way to the nearest town to learn more, and to listen for rumors of this treasure..

Flynt is a driven individual who found a life around Thugs and ruffians fit his style. He was generally a good person, but he found the criminal life more efficient and effective to getting things done. He could leave that life behind if he could get that treasure.

Thankfully, Amos' shortsword and scimitar are sharper than his downbeat, deadpan gallows humor. Always decrying his rotten luck in a lugubrious monotone, despite in truth being luckier than most. Question: are you able to share 2024 content? If not, no worries - if selected, I'll just buy the 2024 PHB. I just haven't created the char sheet yet since the Wayfarer background and Lucky feat are not in the free 2024 content.

Thanks for asking! Just added a section on that about. Basically once per day, with hope for more frequency during combat, but also an understanding that things come up.
Hate to spoil the fun because I love the character, but for this one we're going by the old school rule of assigning the ability scores in order of what you rolled!
