The tiefling can't hide his intrigue as he watches the drama of Elra and Faranhal's macabre reunion. The mansion certainly doesn't let any slain enemy go to waste, it seems.
"Faranhal, you don't happen to know the butler-esque creature as well, do you?"

He fades in and out, putting out his hand to Elras head and a soft whisper can be heard. Watch the floors, there are traps, the eyes are everywhere. The butler you mean he is gone, the far realms just left a creature in his stead. He can not leave the circle, be wary of it it is a summoning circle. The maps here are precious Markos uses them to time his magic for best effect. I'm making it hard for him by hiding the star chart maps, ...so many.
The door here leads to the Eldrich Observation room, you'll find the summoning circle and the butler there. I think there is a ritual circle beneath the house
(OOC you are currently in D21, the doorway leads to D19)
"Alright then," Bronnryn says. She starts to cautiously make her way over to the doorway in the wall to the east. She tries it, and if unlocked she cautiously opens it to take a look on the other side. (Perception: 23)
The pink tiefling tilts his head as he notices Delilah's concern, thinking for a moment. "If I had to guess, Markos is probably keeping the codex on his person or near that ritual circle in the basement." He grimaces slightly at the prospect of having to go all the way there, then moves to follow Bronnryn.
Yes sighed Farenhel, he keeps it held close, he pauses and his eyes go round. It is held by a tentacle, he has ben changed by the demon himself. From what is said he is waiting to be fully absorbed by Krokulmar, creating a far realms avatar.
I can not leave this room, I am bound here. If you find my body burn it I beg of you, then perhaps I can rest again
Looking past Bronnrym you can see the form of the butler, it in turn is looking at you. The summoning circle is still intact and it gently tries to slither a tentacle past. He doesn't make a sound apart from the whispering breaths that say it's alive.
As she looks at the butler, Bronnryn calls back to Delilah. "I wouldn't think the butler looking fellow is Markos. But he does have tentacles. Think you can coerce Faranhal to tell you if this really is the guy we're looking for?"
Her attention then shifts more completely to this transformed butler. She tries to see if perhaps he does have the codex. Well, or more likely does he seem to possess any sort of book? (Perception: 25)
Mavilius studies the butler as well. "Well, he does have tentacles and seems to be waiting for something," he observes, loudly enough that the beast can hear him, "Perhaps the butler outfit is simply a ruse to throw us off." While Bronnryn focuses on looking for signs of the book, he watches the creature for any reaction to his words.
The butler watches you, it makes no sound not even breathing. It doesn't have the book. At the entrance from the door Farenhel says It's not Markos, the butler was transformed first as an experiment in Far Realms summoning. I have not seen it move from the circle as I said. We were all experiments one way or another.
"We will do what we can to release you and your companions from your torment. Just one more thing, where can we expect to find Markos? Is it likely that he will be with the ritual circle under the mansion?" The young dark-haired lady asks.
Have dozed off to relieve the pain in my limbs, I awake from a fitful sleep with a sneeze from the dust in the room. Still in a bit of a brain fog, upon hearing voices and noises that do not sound like those that captured me, without thinking, I take a deep breath, and cough from the dust, the whole body shaking from the sneeze has my arms and ankles racked in pain from my metal binds. I again take a deep breath and bellow from my dwarven diaphragm, "HELP! ANYONE OUT THERE? HELLO! HELP!"
OOC - on the third floor (not sure what floor the party are on nor if my voice can carry through the halls down to the party.
We suggest that the codex is with Markos, he'll either be down in his workroom or sleeping in his own bedroom. She pauses then bobbles gently towards the door. Can you hear that?
(OOC - Bottom left? I thought we came into D21 and Bronnryn at least went into D19 with the butler. But the direction of D22 I'll go with.)
Bronnryn Hethgar
Getting a bearing on the voice, Bronnryn carefully tries to move around the circle, keeping back as much as she can. Slowly she makes her way to the double doors (leading from D19 to D18), all the while keeping an eye on the tranformed butler. She sees if they will open.
The tiefling can't resist as chuckle as the plot thickens yet again. He follows Bronnryn, ready to play the dashing hero who rescues whoever this poor captive is.

Bronnryn takes a moment to look around the room. What exits are there? Which way would be the 'butler room'? (Perception: 7)
"It's good news if the circle will contain the creature," she says. "Perhaps we can look about with being troubled."
