The bard returns to the Dog and Duck after getting Quentin's permission (or not) and cashing out his 9 silver. Either way he is set on carrying out the performance anyway, figuring he can get away with a few lies if necessary.
"A productive day, though not exactly lucrative," he remarks, looking satisfied nonetheless.
Assuming nothing interferes with that, the alluring white-haired tiefling returns to the Dog and Duck and heads up to her room, and soon thereafter the young dark-haired lady with the darke dress descends from the second floor and joins the others at the usual table, ordering some wine and listening in on the others' reports before presenting her plan.
There are five guards total, including Daren who is guarding the statue. They like regular tankards of small beer from the staff room, it makes it easy to spike there drinks with a potion of sleep. We can use the invisibility potion to gain access to Quentins office then put him to sleep or take him by surprise and tie him up. One of us can then take on his form as a disguise. The master pass key and the rod to control the minotaurs skeleton will be easy to access. I can cast sleep on a single person. I'd best stay with the chosen Quentin and escort him to the Vault followed by Cania for the trophy.
We smash the mirrors as soon as the guards are sleeping setting the Dao free. I suggest we ask for a payment in gems from them for freeing them.
The bard listens to Adrian's report thoughtfully, tail swishing behind him as he sips at a cup of strong tea. "Ah yes, I think I'll be able to act as Quentin well enough. He has a love for traditional gnomish ballads, particularly ones where he can imagine himself in place of the hero. Regret for not choosing a more adventurous path when he was younger perhaps," the pink tiefling shrugs, "I also got invited to a spa party, and...oh, I'll be performing with the circus tonight for the opening of the tournament. Just...don't mention it to the real Quentin if you see him." He chuckles, hoping the others won't mind.
The young dark-haired lady in an elaborately decorated long dark dress sits comfortably leaned back at the table as she listens to the others. "A few things..." She says as the others have finished, leaning forward as she starts to speak. "...according to one of the guards only Quentin can open the case with the statuette without the protective enchantment there killing them. Not sure if this means it is in fact Quentin that needs to collect the statue for us? There was only one guard by the statue when I saw it though?" She says, looking at Adrian. "Or are you saying there are six guards in total at the Casino? Also, do we know anything about what the Dao could be able to give us for freeing them?"She asks with a curious smile at the end.
Five guards in the mirror room including me and Smithy. Smithy acts as overseer to the others, so doesn't really watch the screens. You need to look like Quentin for Cania, it is the pass card held to the side of the display unit that turns the enchantment off.
We could do the vault and then go to Cania, or vice versa.
When incapacitated I'd suggest putting the guards into the cells at the back of the security room. Let them sleep it off under confinement.
As for the Dao they are earth elementals, ask what they delight in, gem stones.
"Good..."The young dark-haired lady says with a smile before she continues. "...I would suggest taking out the guards first, then Quentin, then visit the vault to get the coin and the minotaur, then release the minotaur for some nice and sweet chaos in the casino as our Quentin collects the statuette, then we leave quietly amidst the ensuing chaos, leaving the gnome to deal with the mess and the less than pleased guests. Not sure when we set the plan into motion exactly though, perhaps we should wait until the tournament has started. Also I don't know if we should await our dear minstrel having finished partying at the spa and performed at the circus before he takes on the guise of our current employer."She finishes with a playful smile to the pink tiefling.
The tournament starts tonight at midnight. If Mavillius is intent on appearing at the opening to sooth the savage beasts of the circus, we should go just after. I'll stay as a security guard, to spike their beer. Exa could be Quentin if Mavilius is otherwise engaged.
The bard nods, bowing his head to Exa amicably. "I am happy to cede my role as Quentin to you, my friend. Being able to live a dream of mine is worth it."
"So if Adrian takes care of the guards in the guardroom the rest of us could meet up at Quentin's office right after the opening show, take him out of play, then break mirrors at the guard room, then visit the vault and bring out that monster, then collect the statuette before quietly leaving amidst the ensuing chaos, sounds about right?" The young dark-haired lady says, looking around at the others.
Exa's bright eyes only grow brighter the more excited she gets as the plan comes together, nodding along eagerly. When the suggestion is made that she take on Quentin's role, she nods heartily.
"Sure, sure! Of course!" she agrees. "Though only if you're certain Mavilius. It would be a thrill, but if you had your heart set on it..."
Sounds good to me. Keeping it simple would be best. So when is the first gala performance of the Circus? Not many people tonight, and tomorrow will be mobbed with people.
"Midnight tonight. The ringmaster said it'll be one night only, but I'm certain I can convince him to add more shows after he sees how successful it is." The tiefling smirks confidently.
The tiefling gives a slightly embarrassed look. "Ah, I am running a little low on magic, much as I hate to admit it. And a bigger crowd would mean a bigger distraction. What about the rest of you?"

Dog and Duck
Adrian nods at Exa as she arrives, he whispered in her ear Go and change into your normal form and I'll have a goblet of cream waiting here for you.
Exa
"I knew I liked you," Exa says with a grin.
She hurries upstairs to drop her disguise and take a few moments of quiet to herself after a long day serving gamblers.
A few minutes later she arrives back downstairs.
"I'm not used to a long day's work," she laments.

Adrian to Exa
He laughs at her laments, and pushes a goblet full of whipped cream towards her, he hadn't forgot the spoon.
Relax the others will be here soon.

Exa listened intently as well, taking long, noisy drafts of the thick cream in front of her before smacking her lips together.
"Quentin seems to love his Dragon Crush. Could be a way to get him a potion if we need," she adds.
"And he went for his rounds at about four bells."
