Due to a bit of worry about being caught alone with unseen things in the darkness, Bastian stays his second attack on the other zombie to regroup and observe. (Moves back to E8)
As Bastian jumps back, the other zombie lurches forward, and Marrow takes advantage of its straight ahead determination to strike its head from around the corner. It turns its pulverized eye at the halfling, and swings both arms down upon him.

Marrow twists slightly, so that the arms deflect off his shield, then thrusts forward with his still-glowing sword at the zombie (H8): Attack: 11 Damage: 11.

Casmenos steps forward, and pierces the zombie through from behind, as Marrow runs it through from the front, and the zombie falls, sliding inertly off the two blades...
Tumal touches the crystal at his throat. "May the light protect us," he says quietly. A flame-like radiance descends on the zombie harrowing Marrow, its light dazzling for just a second before disappearing.
Sacred Flame — Damage if it fails a 12 DEX check: 3 radiant damage
Deciding not to risk the stairs any further, Destin will attempt to leap to the pillar with the statue to attempt to scale it down, stowing the axes for a brief moment to free his hands, attempting to get to F-7 on the ground.
If the DM allows, use Athletics to jump across and begin to climb down. If not, 4 less for Acrobatics
OOC: Destin, I may not have been adequately clear; you climbed halfway down, then fell, taking damage. You are already on the ground, free to move/take actions.

Keksi brings forth more radiant energy against the zombie, who lurches at the last possible moment to avoid the light, only to spin directly into holy light brought down by Tumal. The zombie falls, and this time, does not stir.
Kelvin unleashes a bolt of light at the zombie on the south wall, burning a hole all the way through its torso. Still, it keeps coming.

Right, I was just a little confused on the map. Thought I'd fallen down a little bit of the stairs, but still on them.
Destin will use his twin axes, moving up to the zombie (Move to G8) and swings his two weapons into it. If it falls from the first attack, he'll move up to attack the next zombie along.
Handaxe vs. Zombie #2:6 vs. AC. Hit:7 slashing damage. Handaxe vs. Zombie #2:14 vs. AC. Hit:1 slashing damage.
Thank you, Gludington, for being creative with your attack accounts. I'm enjoying it. Would you like us to be less descriptive to allow you to be more descriptive (ie, just post where we move and what actions we take as opposed to describing what we're doing)?
Thank you, but be as descriptive you feel comfortable - if you'd rather just say what you do, that's fine -- if you want to be super florid and descriptive, that's great too. It's a collaborative story here, not mine, and besides, as far as I am concerned, there is no right or wrong way to play. Play how you will most enjoy it, and my job when I DM is to figure out how to make it mesh.
@All: On a related note, I was thinking on having some "How do you want to do this" moments as we all figure out each others' posting rhythms when it would fit without introducing too much lag time. If you have opinions, feel free to PM me.
@All: On an unrelated note, just clarifying some things in PMs before advancing the round. Thanks for being patient.
Destin shakes off the cobwebs, both literal and figurative, an sprints towards his favored enemy. The second zombie falls to his companions' combined assault, but Kelvin's Guiding Bolt illuminates his way to the next foe. Destin's axe bites deeply into the hole already bored, and the zombie shudders and falls. It jerks its head around wildly, and begins to rise, to be met halfway up by Destin's other axe, and it falls, this time laying still.
Still in round 2, but two zombies dispatched before they could act, so bold may now go:
Marrow: 21
Tumal: 21
Casmenos: 19
Destin: 19
Keksi: 18
Kelvin: 18
Zombie3: 14
Zombie2: 10
Bastian: 9
Zombie4: 8
Cassyt: 7
Zombie1: 5
imgur is down, so I cannot upload a map at the moment, but Bastian, you can get to Zombie 4 if you use *all* of your movement. If you have a ranged attack, you could also shoot at it, but it would have cover (slightly increased AC) due to the number of people between you and it.
I like the idea of "how would you like to do this" moments, but I'm afraid they may hold up game play. I guess you could always try it out and see if the fun is worth the little bit of extra time.

Bastian sheaths his blades to take the short bow and arrow from his back. After a quick breath, he loosens the missile at the lifeless thing down the stairs.

Bastian takes a steadying breath and sends an arrow between the mass of bodies slashing and falling in front of him to strike the zombie coming up the hallway. It plays no heed to the arrow sprouting from its cheek as it slams against Marrrow.
Slam: 14 Damage: 7
Note: Many DMs will rule that you cannot sheathe one weapon and draw another at the same time, that you could only do so if you dropped your blades on the ground. I am not sticking with that in this particular fight, but be aware.

Keksi will fire off another Sacred Flame, hopefully it will do something this time! (8 Damage)
Tumal moved to E9 first round.
