You examine the door and notice that it's a simple mechanism. Whenever the door is slightly opened it swings at full speed releasing a spear from the wall behind it. When it's closed the spear retreats into the wall, like nothing happened.
You think you could disable the trap, but you're not sure how useful it could be since behind both doors is solid stone.

Oh, my bad. No, you don't notice anything particular. The mist is orange and the stones don't glow. Other than that is no different from the other arches you saw before

Falmo manages to disable both the spear traps, now the doors open without any problem. Then he goes into the chapel room to examine the pews. Upon closer investigation you notice that the hinges on the front pews are larger than the ones on the pews in the other rows.

Yes, there are hinges under the seats. Falmo tries to examine them a bit and he notices that the front row has some sort of hidden mechanism that gets activated when the seats are lifted. You can't really understand what would happen if it gets activated but you manage to disable it. You safely lift the seats and you find a hidden compartment, but it's empty.
At the same time Jerigg tries once again to put the gems into the hands of the gargoyle. You're not surprised when the gems get crushed once again in the slots without leaving any trace.

He had them to use the revivify spell. Not sure how many he had in the beginning but I'm leaving it up to you not to cheat. I can't track of everything.
You do the same thing and, just as expected, the outcome is exactly the same. All the gems get crushed and nothing happens.
(Does Falmo find anything?)

(I meant the archway in the chapel area with the slot.)

"Is being death! arches with the misty is being death!"
The arm probably needs to be closer to the gargoyle. I put the arm next the gargoyle and I try again with the gems.

Because he has nothing better to do, Falmo will disable the spear traps.

Hinges on pews? Where are these hinges?
I was wondering the same thing.

If you need a check to open the catch or something: 32 or 25 (Thieves' Tools)

"Ahhg. It must be needing the diamonds then."
I put diamonds in the hands (200 gp stones in each hand) and hope for the best.

Maybe the arm needs to be attached with the gems. I'll try that next if this one fails, as long as my team cooperates.
The others aren't used to save or die mechanics or do something simple and die with no save.
Untangling the clues is fun but at times frustrating. It should be noted that I'm having a good time =)

You try once again with some more expensive gems, but they disappear like all the others, even with the gargoyle hand attached to the statue.
I think I missed something. Where are these gems coming from?

Ubogri sees Falmo opening compartments on the front pews and decides to open the rest of the pews as well.
