Crispy falls into line right behind Cade. In case he pulls any funny business. Just in case. She makes a hand signal - she points to her eyes with one hand and then points to him with one finger, giving him a grin that the Hell itself would envy.
Cade frowns at Immo's comment. But after a quick glance to Crispy, and seeing how quickly she went from explosively angry to acting all chummy, the goblin wisely averted his gaze and kept his mouth shut.
Cade is quick to look to Chubby, welcoming the distraction... for all of two seconds. He squints at Chubby, suspicious at first. But sensing no ill-intent or jest at the request, he sighs and cracks a small, good-natured smile before striding up to join the Dwarf. Only after does his eyes go wide having just remembered the dwarf's first plan. Glancing back, and seeing the gesture from Crispy, Cade gives her a look that was a mix both a mix of concern and disturbed.
'By the gods... Why do I always end up working with monsters?'He thought glumly as he turned away. After making sure the bowtie he picked up after dealing with the prince was firmly secure in his pocket, Cade took a breathe, calming his nerves and mustering what reserves he had left for the journey ahead; assisting Chubby as best he could along the way.

"Arthasis, would you mind taking up the back? I'll walk just before. I think you and Shuushar need a little buffer between you. I'll map the best I can. I only have about half a sheet of paper. If anyone finds anything to write on, we'll need it." Evrik looks in his pack to confirm the letter from the priest is still there. As it is folded, one of the outside folded sections is blank and usable.

"Sure, I'll guard our rear.", Arthasis said calmly to Evrik. 'Better than taking point.', he muttered to himself before adressing the assambled group, "Have you decided where to go yet? Do we follow this fooliosh plan and move south towards myconids and Kuo-toa? Wherever we go, we should move at a reasonable speed. Not too fast lest we run headlong into trouble."
With Chubby seemingly intent on leading, Immotichey wanders to the back of the group. "Don't worry I will keep an eye out back here. I will be trying to collect food and water as we go as well. And yes, we are headed towards where we believe the myconids are," he says to Arthasis. "Also, you would do well not to generalize. You do not know what lies ahead any more than the rest of us." He pulls his shield off his back and readies his quarterstaff.
"Well, do as you like. But don't complain if you end up dying.", Arthasis answered casually. On the inside though he fumed. The warlock hated that he had to bow to the will of others, people he didn't know and he surely didn't trust. But he also knew that he wouldn't make it far down here if he was left on his own. Playing nice didn't suit him but he basically had to bide his time until an opportunity presented itself to force the group to obey his will.
Waiting for everyone to move out, Arthasis would fall in line last making up the rearguard.
Chubby just stands there, patiently waiting for everyone else to get ready. He scratches his butt a few times. Picks his nose. Spins his sword in his hand. When people finally line up, he turns around and slowly starts hiking down the south cave. Quietly. (Stealth: 18)
....holy smokes, he even manages to hide his beer gut!
Eyes and ears at full alert, with his head on a swivel, Chubby keeps a keen awareness of what’s ahead (Perception: 14)

Everyone more or less got into line, the group making their way silently to the southwesterly cave. As you get near it, you notice a set of stars, carved into the cave wall itself, inclining all the way back up to where you just escaped. From here, the sounds of battle could still be heard, though there was far less droning than there was before. Perhaps the demons were losing? or perhaps they had already finished their assault, and were picking off the leftovers. From here, it was impossible to tell. The spiders seemed to have ignored it all, still handing from their webs bridging between the walls, and the stalactites, as anyone who looks up and could see, there were no less than twenty Giant Spiders strewn throughout the webbing, some bobbing as spiders are wont to do, while others are deathly still. Finally you reach the mouth of the cave, and everyone proceeds inside.
After roughly an hour of walking through the tunnel, the tunnel being easily large enough for you all to move more or less freely, perhaps it was made by a Purple Worm? But as you reach the far end you notice another split in the path. One going slightly more northward, the other continuing straight, with a southwardly angle.
So far, nothing has come after you nor has any danger been seen. The tunnels all seem to cut at random angles, of grey-black rock, monotonous in thier appearance, occasionally a loose stone here, or some dustfall there, but overall uneventful.
Chubby comes up to the fork in the cave, and stumbles to a stop, almost forcing those in line behind him to walk right into his back. Whispering, “all right guys...the cave forks here. Northward or straight?”
He’ll then concentrate extra hard and see if he can hear anything down either leg of the cave:
Chubby to the group, as we're discussing which way to go next: "Does anyone here know how to set booby traps? I'm thinkn' we should be setting traps behind us, to make sure our behinds are protected. I worry about being flanked."
( posting from phone so thisiss ooc. At chubby, unless the group had some specialty items in their bags I don't think you guys have the materials to make booby traps at the moment however I will allow you to make them should you come across the materials. However if someone has ball bearings or caltrops I will allow those to be used as traps until you guys can find something else or find more)
Cade refrains from commenting, knowing full well the can of worms that might open. But he does perk up at the mention of traps, and starts patting down his pockets. Ultimately, he has to shake his head 'no' before returning to his assistant look-out duty.
Shuushar on the other hand openly says, "Unfortunately, these tunnels are too far for home for me to be of much assistance. But if you want me advice, do not always trust a direction a tunnel 'seems' to lead, as they can often loop back upon themselves; especially those made by the more dangerous beasts of this place." He then places his hands back together, and bows his head in apology.
I've decided to do the rolls in a private message to myself, as otherwise I feel you could glean too many context clues from the specific rolls I make. Which would unintentionally help you guess at what was ahead. I hate to do it, as I like transparency but yeah :x
The group heads straight on. The tunnel shrinking a bit, forcing the party closer together, allowing, at most, 2 people side by side. As the party rounds a slight corner, previously obscured ahead there would be a faint cerulean glow radiating an even dimmer light. Bio-luminescent moss covered many patches of the wall. Once the party would approach they would see the tunnel in all of it's splendor. Four large, purplish, fungi filled it's expanse, with white stalk bases. They also glowed in their own violet hues. Thanks to the light, each member of the party can see clearly to the far end of the tunnel, which seemed to be only a short distance away.
As the party approaches the tunnel, Evrik notes the purple fungi. Unfamiliar with the species he searches his feelings to see if there was any clues or evidence left by spore which Stool had left in his inner ear. He carefully approaches one of the mushrooms for a more detailed Investigation. (16)
Evrik then turns back toward the others and quietly says "Hey, check these out. What do you think of these things growing down here in the dark?"
Arthasis had not seen anything like this in his life before. The whole cave bathed in colorful lights that radiated from the treelike fungi and the moss, which covered most of the walls. It was a truly inspiring sight to behold. But knowing that the most beautiful things often also proved to be the most dangerous, the warlock worked his magic and looked for any threats that might arise while the group traversed the cavern.

Crispy stood there like a mesmerized child, slowly pulling out a small notebook and pencil - and began writing furiously. More like sketching. It was a beautiful sight. Not as beautiful as her, but nature sometimes surprised her.
As she was sketching, she said, "Be careful. Don't touch anything." she warned, "Just look. Arthasis is right, we share this underdark with many other creatures. Not to mention many mushrooms here are probably poisonous."
