Haldur approaches Artemis, keeping a calm and respectful demeanor in front of the Mystran Warforged.
"H-Hello," The mercenary tries to affect a confident and poised front, but once again, his slight awkwardness gets the better of him beneath the metallic gaze of the automaton, "Artemis, was it? My name is Halberd Hightower, in service to Captain Hrain of the Sunite Shepherds. I... I hate to ask, because I know the loss might still be fresh for you all, but might your garrison have extra armor or pole weapons that are not currently being used?" Haldur is genuinely sincere as he continues, "I know that it must sound terrible to have a stranger asking after the belongings of those faithful that were recently lost, and please believe that all those who have fought and died have my utmost respect and deference. The physical belongings though... they can still be used to protect and serve the wills of our Goddesses by the living, and I am asking you for the chance to do just that. If you know of anything that might aid us all in our shared struggle, I would be deeply grateful to you."
Before rolling a check for things that may or may not have ever been in the garrison, I figured I'd try and ask Artemis if they might know of anything useful. I can roll a Persuasion Roll if you'd like me to Amazon, or if you'd rather I just go ahead and roll a Perception/Investigation Roll while declaring what I'm looking for, I'm totally okay with that as well. Up to you :)
"I know nothing of weapons or provisions," Artemis replies to Haldur. "I'm a librarian," they add with a distinct shrug. Artemis then gestures to Thomas. "Sir Thomas will have a better idea," they point directly now.

Following behind Haldur and Artemis, Folzi quips back to the warforged, "Since you can't help finding this stuff how do you feel about being our pack mule?"
(Artemis is coming with us correct?)
Folzi starts his search in the food stores.
Investigation 31
Next stop, quartermaster for heavy clothes, tents lanterns, climbing kit
OOC: Artemis is, yes. NPCs on journey are Cara, Ora, Sister Calius, and Artemis.
"I'm afraid I'm no titan of strength either," Artemis replies. "I'm a better historian than I am a...beast od burden," they add.
Folzi finds everything. From dried meats to tents, from lanterns to winter boots the gnome is a marvel of discovery. He then enlists his fellow party members to help assemble packs and outfits for all.
Everyone roll a CON save with advantage to see how their new 'outfit' will stand up against the cold.
Artemis then supplies maps and a brief history of the area they will be traveling. They insist if the party makes good time they should reach the nearest outpost of the Empire in a weeks time without horses.
OOC: Apparently Haldur and Folzi got the 'good stuff'...
The day passes and Artemis sees the bounty the party has discovered. The robot seems to even smile as they don the winter gear and divide up provisions.
OOC: I will agree that everyone has a 10-day ration, winter gear, and there's a single climbing kit. *cough* check the infirmary *cough*

Folzi finds a Healer's kit and 5 of standard healing potions and 4 of greater. Leb helps by finding a large bag that when she picks it up fumbling it she she's a pole clatter tobthe floor. It seems impossible the pole should fit in the bag but it does?! Upon closer inspection the pole is actually a Mystra banner! There is no other contents in the bag.
Folzi returns from the infirmary with a big grin on his face and numerous bottles clanking in his arms. "These should be of use."He places one of the smaller healing potions into his pack. "Help yourself, folks." He then finds Artemis, "So what can you tell us about our way out of this godsforsakenplace?"
Hrain holds one of the bottles up to the light, examining it "Well done Folzi, you certainly have the eyes of a hawk. These could be very important, although I hope not to need them." Placing one of the lesser potions in his belt pouch he looks over the assembled gear approvingly. "In fact I'm not sure you could have done any better." Looking over to the cleric he calls to him "Thomas, I know our path is not likely to be particularly safe but do you think there are any items here that Matthias would prefer to pass to us for safekeeping, things which your clergy would value. It grates at me to think of these necromancers and their minions defiling holy artifacts." The Paladin-Captain shakes his head sadly "I sound like a greedy relative of a dying man hovering around hoping for an inheritance but it is what it is. If we can do good by removing weapons from the hands of our enemies, especially if it puts them into ours we are doing the right thing."

"I also found this..." says Lebenha coming behind Folzi trying to put the banner again inside the bag. "It's a Mystra flag, perhaps is this what you were talking about? " she says to Hrain, having listened to his last words. She offers both the bag and the flag to the captain.
Haldur grins as Folzi and Lebenha come striding in, their arms laden with fortunate discoveries. "Well done, both of you!" The mercenary exclaims excitedly. He will also help himself to one of the common healing potions, slipping it carefully into his satchel for easy access in the unfortunate case that he might need it. As Hrain begins speaking with Thomas however, Haldur moves closer to the two and nods his head at the Paladin's wise words.
"The Captain speaks wisely, my friend." He says softly to the cleric, "It pains us all to imagine ourselves pillaging the mortal possessions of the lost and fallen, but as Hrain said, anything that we can keep from our enemies hands and that might help us survive the trials ahead would be invaluable. Artemis mentioned that you might be more familiar with the garrison's inventory than they were, so if there is anything you might know about that could help us, we would be deeply indebted to you for your assistance."
