As you run back to Phlan, you slowly hear the voice of chaos coming from the city. Despite the darkness of the night, the city is bright from torchlights. From the outskirt you can hear the City Watch's bell ring loudly, alarming everyone inside of the city of the undead dragon circling above them, exhaling acid breath to various part of the town. Sound of screaming can be heard inside the city walls, with only few townspeople already on their way to escape the city. The camping ground you recognize to the Zhentarim's operating camp in the morning earlier today is now abandoned.
A loud voice originates from atop the undead dragon can be heard from far away. Sound of a man is magically booming through the air.
"Behold the strength The Cult of Dragon yield! This town will the first to crumble our claw!"
Few people started running pass you in panic, holding their belonging or family.
Hi folks. I'm really sorry but I don't think I can continue the game.
You guys are amazing, we've been playing for quite some time, and I had a blast running this game, I'm just not too much into D&D these days. Once again sorry for letting you down, and thank you for playing in my game.
Yep, it is based on DDEX1-01 Defiance in Phlan (link here). Although I might have made too many modification to it hehe. The original does not have a clear ending, so I intend to have a dragon fight, but I can't find a good way to execute it.
On a side note I must tell you guys, now that this is over, one of my favorite DND moments ever was when our 2nd Level Barbarian, Aeros, cast a 2nd Level spell Levitate on a challenge rating 5 Troll and took him completely out of the action. SERIOUSLY! Normal characters don't even have access to 2nd level spells until level 3. I was scrambling through the manuals to see how that was even possible and laughing the whole time! In the future I will be looking at an Air Genasi more seriously, nice racial trait there. Thanks for the memories, especially that one!
Yeah that's really something :) On a dungeon setting, the troll might easily touch the ceiling and push himself to the ground, but not in a wilderness setting!
edit: also thank you to anyone who shared their content for this game! It especially help me a ton in looking for references and inspiration.
(hope you are already well Winenose!)

Oh :(
Is the adventure available somewhere so we can read through what was supposed to happen? :)
