We recently lost a couple players due to scheduling issues. This is an ongoing questline that you would be joining. We are honestly looking for a spellcaster or rogue, possibly both. It is a homebrew world and storyline set in a world that is a partial reflection of the Sword Coast. I am looking for level 3 characters with a developed backstory that we will work together on to integrate you if selected. Roll for stats dropping bottom 2 rolls in this thread and post link of PC here when completed.
Backstory: You are coming to the city of Silverymoon. An older Adventurer by the name of Lord Hightower, A paladin of renown, has recently started up a new guild called the "League of Improbable Adventurers. Since he is no longer young enough to be adventuring himself he is gathering adventurers together to live vicariously through their adventures. As a part of your backstory you need to indicate why you are coming to join the guild.
Since this is an ongoing quest there will be things you will have to learn along the way but I am very much into both the RP and a mostly open world so I am looking for people who would fit best into the current story but that will also allow me to add to the story as well based on their character.

"Lord Arunduil will bring death to us all"
Arutha Lvl.2 Human Fighter: Arsenal of the Orc Lord
Milamber Lvl.1 Human Sorcerer: Curse of Strahd
Masque: Lvl.5 Gith Cleric: Age of Death
DM: League of Improbable Adventurers: Chapter 1 of Arunduil's Bane
Artim was a commoner from Neverwinter. As a young boy he was taking in by Dwarves after the murder of his parents, and trained as a Blacksmith. As Artim grew older and came into his own, he loathed seeing the weapons he made be used to kill the innocent and devoted himself to Moridin, driven to counteract evil in the world and restore freedom for common folk. He is an Acolyte of the Temple of Moridin, and also seeks to expand Moridin's sway in the world.
I'd like to play. I was thinking of playing a halfling rogue named Avery Highdale.
Avery grew up on the streets with no one but her brother, Garrett to watch her back. Life was rough, with no proper way to support themselves the two turned to less savory ways to make ends meet. For years they cheated, lied, and stole to earn coin. There were advantages to being as small as they were, being often overlooked by taller folk. The two were content with their life, until a new group of thieves moved into their city. More ruthless then the siblings, the two began to be harassed by the group, and one fight even ended up badly crippling Garrett. This event finally chased the two from the town, leaving them homeless wanderers. It was around this time that Avery began hearing tales of the "League of Improbable Adventurers". She convinced her brother to let her see if the group would be interest in her skills, promising to him that if she couldn't then she'd retire and find an honest job to support the two. Using what little money they had left the two made for the town of Silverymoon, their fates unknown, but hearts hopeful.
I'll stick her rolls down here(I'm unsure if I'm rolling 8 or 6?Please let me know if I need to fix it):
I would be really happy to enter, I'm still low on experience, but if you'd let me in, I'll try my hardest. My character will come a bit later.
Name: Elery Hydramight
Backstory: Elery was born in a minor noble family, and she had a really happy childhood, with parents and siblings that we're amazing, a lot of friends outside of that, and life was going perfect. Since the earlier times of her life, her family already knew she had some sort of innate magical capacity, and it was okay, she was accepted this way, and most people found this like something positive.
Now, on her early adulthood, one sudden day, her parents prepared her stuff, and sent she out of the city she lived, no questions asked, no answers given, they weren't mad, but look hurried, she followed their orders, still a bit confused, and still kept contact with her mom, via mail, who still wouldn't explain to Elery what happened, with time Elery managed to get some experience with her travels, and practice with her magical powers let her mold the spells to her desire.
Still feeling unprotected and weak, entering an adventurer's guild was a logical conclusion to better herself, and ensure survival.
I'd like to play a changeling sorcerer(wild magic) named Sevens.
On the seventh day of the seventh month, the seven toed seventh child of a seventy-seven year old noble of the seventh house of Menzoberranzan was born at 7:77AM(Okay fine, it was technically 8:17, but close enough). It was probably the most improbable birth ever recorded. At that moment, a force of powerful magic from the Faewild, a force of chance and chaos, descended upon this child, unnoticed by all. This force imbued the drow child with powerful magic, which lay dormant until the child was a young adult. The child was given the name of Vaelgath Myzzrym. However, as he grew up, his powers began to surface. He discovered that he could shift his form at will, and conjure up minor magical feats. He realized that he was not meant to live as a son of house Myzzrym, and planned his escape from the Underdark. He used his shifting powers to escape unnoticed, and left behind the Underdark forever. He wandered for some time, and eventually spied a tribe of orcish nomads. He disguised himself as an orc named Korg, and traveled with them for some time. One day, the camp made a raid on a village near Silverymoon, but the village was better defended than it seemed, and the orcs were weakened by a hard winter. The tribe was all but obliterated, and Sevens only survived by disguising himself as a young elven prisoner at the last moment. The village leader took him in as his adopted son, as the man had no son or daughter of his own, and his wife had died a few years back. One day, Sevens heard of the new guild, and thought to himself: "I'm preetty improbable, and I alvays vanted to geev adventureeng a try"(I don't know why he has that accent he just does now). So he headed down to Silverymoon to try and join this new guild.

I might be interested. I’d probably use my Elven druid rather than my water genasi wizard because she’s a little better developed.
Name: Faen Evenwood
I don’t know if I want to say too much about her backstory here, but she has just come into town seeking a new start. Having heard about the new guild, her curiosity is piqued and she decides to look into it.
Curious and talented but also naive and a bit anxious
Belfarn (Bel) grew up on the streets of Luskan. His parents kicked him out when he was "old enough to fend for himself," so 7 or 8. He can't remember. He learned to survive quickly. He stole, robbed, broke in to houses, whatever it took to survive. He'd gotten out though, thanks to a gnome named Honasee Twifhog. He discovered Bel breaking into his house, but instead of calling for the city watch, Honasee sat Bel down, heard about his life, and decided to help him. He took Bel in, and taught him about music and the magic that it possessed. He even gave Bel his favorite flute, the one with a carved dragon's head at the end. Bel wanted to repay his debt somehow, so when he heard about the new adventuring company the was starting in Silverymoon, he went to Honasee, and said that he would go become an adventurer, and help others the way Honasee had helped him. Honasee gave Bel his blessing, and off he went, to become a great bard (who might nick a few things on the way, but hey, what's a few knickknacks here or there?)

Meet Many Stories, or Teller. A Tabaxi Storm Sorcerer.
Many Stories was born naturally curious. Though, unlike others, his curiosity was focused on history. When he was could afford it, through help of his parents, he went to school. Eventually he managed to land himself an apprenticeship under a historian named Hawel. He loved his work, recording and studying history. Though, he craved more. One day, he gathered up his gear and ventured out. If he could not uncover history yet to be discovered, then he would certainly be a part of it; he was determined to make history or at least watch it unfold. He more than likely is attempting to join the guild to record the history of Lord Hightower and his League of Improbable Adventurers, and possibly has a good feeling that if he can join officially he can make his own mark on history.
Hansel, a half-elf cleric of Sune. He grew up the child of a single mother who taught him that love will conquers all. His mission as a cleric is to heal injuries, as well as heal the hearts of others. While Hansel is a patron of love, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty and violent when others are mistreated. In one his first adventures, he was turned to stone after fighting a cokatrice, which led this animosity toward chickens. He was brought back to life after a group of adventurers brought him to Longsaddle and cured his petrification. With a new lease on life, Hansel continues to spread to message of love and faith.
Personality traits, I am distrusting but once I make a friend I will do almost anything for them. I love animals they are one of the things that make my life livable.
Bonds, my small dog that I carry around with me the only thing that has accepted me
Flaws, I hate racism and will have immediate distrust.
Backstory, My family is a very fair and has a good name so when I was born a halfelf I was hated my family was only human my mother had a affair with a young elf man and had concevid me. And unlimitly ruined my life by keeping me.
When I was ten years old I ran away because I was beaten so badly I could barely move my arms. When I was in the forest a couple days after I found a small dog that was near death I was able to nurse it back to health and it became loyal to me and ever since we have spent our lives together.
About twelve years later I heard about a man that wanted help and would offer a home where I could be accepted so I took the offer and me and Jillian went off.
Thank you for all your submissions. I will be running a new game in the future and may look for more players in the future for this one. Keep an eye out and you may be on the next run.
