I changed the time frame a bit for Myra's background (she got her powers at 12 years old, and made the shipwreck 3 years ago). I think this will fit better for her knowing everyone for a long time, instead of knowing Rill for only six months.
So after the shipwreck 3 years ago Rill spots you from the cliffs where he built his small shrine. After Rill helps Myra from the water we could travel to the nearest port together.
This port could be the port that Thadrith, Elery and Roz are sailing towards, this could place 5 of us at least in the same place at the same time. Lazarus could own his store in this port as well.
sounds good to me.

Thene and Tristan still need including in the initial meeting of our party not sure how to include them. Tristan a travelling bard or on the run, could have been performing or looking for passage away/arriving from somewhere. Thene a sailor, drunk listening to Tristan perform or perhaps looking for a new crew.Myra could have been using the port for years as a pirate and met others in this time also such as Thene. Rill a Tempest cleric could have been employed to protect a ship from storms or he could be looking for such paying work. Lazarus could have a shop here, or be starting his adventurous life.
I'm just spit-balling guys hope i've given you some ideas :) look forward to hearing more. I think the center of all this is a port city, i don't think it would be too far fetch for everyone here to have business or be travelling/trading in a port.

perhaps after meeting everyone, thats what inspired Lazarus to become an adventure and sell ownership of his store. and this is the first time everyone has seen him since he has gotten equipment and training.

If everyone is fine with that, I think we've already got everyone in the right place, in a port/port city, we just need to finish it with the event that managed to tie all of them together, it doesn't have to be anything too complex, and I'd be happy if we could brainstorm some ideas, I just wanted to get this second tab active again.

I'm sure there are many separate events that tie you all together. There is most likely one single major event that you all shared together. Maybe even something that shaped why you all are now moving forward with working together again.

I like the idea tagging along with Tristan, he booked passage on a ship Thene was working on. And Thene found him much more interesting than the crew and wanted to find out what made the bard tick. @Ratche that cool with you?
There's subplot tying almost everyone into groups:
Roz and Thadrith are "Prince and the Pauper". Elery met them at the boat.
Rill took Myra out of the water after her ship sunk.
Thene put Tristan in the boat, and she was the one who liked him the most.
Now, there's only one person left, and I think I might have a lead to get them myself.
So, Elery is a divine soul Sorceress, that is to say, some deity blessed her with magic, without her worshipping them, that would be a cleric. And I think it happened early in her life, to which she wouldn't remember, but enough where she could walk on her own, and maybe get lost, until the celestial figure found her, and granted her the abilities she now has, and took her back home, without her parents seeing...
Well, Lazarus was raised by clerics, and this seems to align really well, I'm thinking the temple in which he lived was always helping Elery's parents to discover what they could about her power, since they didn't know that a deity gave it to her, but the clerics there felt like it was divine magic, so she visited them sometimes, and Elery and Lazarus met there.
It's even better, because their age gap is pretty small, Elery is just two years younger than Lazarus, so the possibility they met as children is there.

i like this. keep in mind that the temple was to waukeen, and she deals with money, trade, and improving civilization. so i imagine the clerics probably didn't give the answers Elery's parents were looking for. i do like the idea that Elery and Lazarus were childhood friends.

Thank you. And that's good, that change was one that I prefered was done, yeah, maybe they were going from temple to temple trying to find the right deity, and that one was the one of the few which had a kid in the temple, so she was excited to see at least someone she could talk with, and of course, for a kid, it doesn't matter if you're a reptile-like specimen, it's just a matter if you can play with them or not.
So, can someone give me a couple sentences in summary of what ties you guys came up with?
I have to say, normally I have to explicitly ask for players to discuss their relationships to each other. You guys are so awesome the discussion was very natural. Bravo.
Roz and Thadrith are "Prince and the Pauper". Elery met them at the boat.
Rill took Myra out of the water after her ship sunk. They went together to the port they all met.
Thene put Tristan in the boat, and she was the one who liked him the most.
And the last combination is Elery and Lazarus who were childhood friends.
If there's anything else, it's possible I might've missed something.
The one big event that ties everyone together is still undecided, but we know that it probably happened on a port close to the time period the ship carrying 5 of the characters arrived land. (Elery, Roz, Thadrith, Thene and Tristan.) The other three were in town at the time, Lazarus selling goods, while Rill and Myra were arriving at the closest port they could.
This sounds like a great meeting point, if we are to continue i have a possible idea for the bonding of the group.
The Port was raided by slavers and we helped fight them off, a siege that lasted 3 months or so, i feel that would be enough time in a high intensity environment to form a solid bond that would want us to meet again. Afterwords we could have traveled for a bit taking jobs here and there helping people before work grew cold and we separated for a time.
I like that idea, and it create some really interesting dynamics, since some characters will have some explaining to do, since almost half the party doesn't have an imediate clear reason to stop by and start helping the town, it could be money, but I think people here are really creative, so maybe something that actually affects character could be pretty fun to see be done.
As for Elery, she also has a question to answer: "Why did she stay, if her parents were taking responsibility over her? Couldn't they just use their riches to escape as soon as things got bad?" I would say, Elery has a few siblings, and at the time, all of them would be there, so, to not contradict what I said earlier, the siblings were put as captive, sticking her parents in place, until they were rescued.
"It isn't hard to tell, but something did happen to me... I've grown, and I'm independent now, so no more of that hiding from my parents stuff."She smiles saying that, (...)
If her parents were caught, then she wouldn't need to hide from them at all. That's the contradiction I was refering to.
I like that idea too! I'll definitely have to be a little more creative of why Thadrith stays and helps because she cares little for money and she's not the kind to act on the good of her heart. She basically makes choices by how interesting they'll be. And, of course, I could just say that fighting slavers is interesting, but Pertuie's post gives me a better idea.
If Elery is supposed to be a teenager with her parents and her siblings were held captive, I highly doubt her parents would let her go off to fight the slavers (I mean, maybe they could; only Pertuie really knows Elery's parents; but so far, they seem like careful "don't get into too much trouble" kind of people). So, maybe Thadrith happens to be nearby Elery (who she already decided she liked) and overhears that her siblings were kidnapped. Maybe Elery is begging her parents to let her help fight the slavers, but her parents are saying "Nope, too dangerous." That's when Thadrith remembers how her sister died because of the one time she followed a rule and decides to help Elery break her parents' "stay put" rule so that Elery doesn't go through that herself. So then Thadrith starts helping Elery sneak around, schmoozing her parents to let her go with Thadrith "for a walk", only to go out and fight slavers. Or maybe Thadrith finds a way to convince Elery's parents to let her help out (then there's no sneaking involved).
I don't know, just a vague idea to get some people in the group closer.

That looks wonderful, I had forgotten that Thadrith had a sibling, but I was thinking about asking one or two of the rogues to help her sneak out as I wrote my message. Her parents were nice to her, but thinking about sending her off to fight trained bandits is completely off-track to their thoughts, she was clearly too young, and there was no one out there they could trust her security on, specially when the place was at war. Elery would not be opposed to break those rules, but her parents would be really hard to be convinced to let her go, so I prefer the first idea, of having them sneak out to fight the slavers.
Edit: It's completely unrelated to most of what we've been talking about here, but I still feel like I should note/ask, but NBDM, who was playing Roz here, has disappeared from a game he was DMing me and a few other players in, it's the tenth day since he last posted, and there is some worry if he's even going to come back, one player already dropped because of that.
I was thinking more along the lines of general survival people pooling together just to live and eat, people defending from raiding parties as the guardsmen are overworked. The port could be blockaded from the sea and cut off on land, people would have to rely on each other if they wanted to or not.
If Elery saw the kidnapping as the slavers raided one night, saw her father injured in this as he tried to protect his family (not life threatening) as a young person who is perhaps impulsive and looking for the next big adventure, Thadrith could persuade Elrey to slope away and confront these dangers. Naive enough think she could defeat the slavers on her own and rescue her siblings, adventurous enough to try.
This is all of course if our mutual backstory develops this way, others could have better ideas.
