You all spend the next few days formulating plans and collecting information. Seva also explains the house she brought you to is one of the few safe-houses in the city and that she doesn’t live there. She resolves to take on finding a place for all of you to stay.
If you wish to...
Find a hidden/secure way in and out of the city, roll investigation.
Gather information about the Cassia the Witch through rumors and witnesses, roll investigation.
Gather information about the one of the other Blackwood henchmen or Lord Blackwood himself through rumors and witnesses, pick one and roll investigation.
Subtly probe townsfolk to find potential supporters against Blackwood, roll persuasion.
Scout the Manor/Town Hall/Quarry and gather information about them or their comings and goings, choose one and roll stealth.
Find more information out about Seva by spending some time talking with her, roll charisma.
Knowing full well that the townsfolk's support was the only thing that would make sure defeating Blackwood would even be worth it - since possibly after he was overthrown another dictator just as bad as him could appear -, Elery's decision was to search for that support, and with her skills, she's the perfect one to do the job.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Using the covert of the night and the help of the shadows, the tabaxi will scout the City Hall ( 18 ) the Quary ( 13 ) and the Manor ( 14 ) to see how much information he can gather.
Things are beginning to come together. Seva has moved you to the storehouse under the mill. The miller is anti-Blackwood, so it didn’t take much convincing. It’s clean, warm, and you have straw to sleep in. For her part, Seva has kept you fed and brings your provisions as much as she can. She’s good at keeping a low profile in town and does what she can to pick up useful information.
Word is that Blackwood has sent for more men. If the rumors are true, they should arrive in a fortnight. She’s also heard that things are not going well in the vault. Blackwood is losing his grip on keeping the situation contained. I
Neona, Luna, and Elery, you spend a few days drumming up support to overthrow Blackwood. At first, the response you receive is one of cold shoulders and averted eyes. You make a few breakthroughs, however, when you gain the support of Gorn, the blacksmith and his awkward son. It isn’t long after that you soon have 20 able-bodied men who are willing to fight.
Tristan, you’re able to put together a few more details about Cassia, the witch. For one, she is being kept against her will. She’s a young girl taken from her village. Some have even said that Blackwood razed her village and only kept her alive. It’s unclear how much of the story is true.
Khinsrra, your covert visit to City Hall gains you little. With the amount of Blackwood militia and knights in the area, you’re unable to get close enough to gather much information.
At the quarry, you find much more. Formal fortifications have been built down on the quarry floor. A palisade has been built in the middle. It’s complete with an armory and a great hall that can be defended from the roof. Each mine entrance has steel-reinforced wooden doors built into them. Some 30 to 40 men are manning the various defenses, posts, and patrols at any time.
The Manor has regular and frequent patrols, but it’s civilian layout makes it easy to find a gap and get close. Sure enough, Blackwood has taken the entire Manor for himself. He keeps men posted on both floors at all times. He and Cassia share the master bedchamber while his wife and three children are relegated to a separate bedchamber across the house. It truly is a mansion as there are cooks and housekeepers that live on the grounds in a separate servant’s house.
Lazarus, choose one:
Learn useful information about Blackwood and his men, but you open yourself up being noticed and potentially followed.
Learn useful information about Blackwood and his men, but you get captured.
Learn nothing new about Blackwood and his men, but you get caught by Seva almost blowing cover.

You make a few breakthroughs, however, when you gain the support of Gorn, the blacksmith and his awkward son. It isn’t long after that you soon have 20 able-bodied men who are willing to fight.
(Wait, can we talk about this for a sec? What do you mean, his awkward son? What about him is so awkward that he'd be described that way?)

Awkward as in: overly tall, nearly six-and-a-half feet. Quiet, doesn't talk much. Not good in a social situations. Kid is strong as an ox, though. Just something to note about him.
Lazarus, you had gone looking for more information about Blackwood and his men. In doing so, the militia found you and brought you in for questioning.
You’re brought back to the manor and dragged down into the cellar. They leave you down there in the dark, tied to a chair, for a long while. The first time the cellar doors are opened, it’s Cassia who comes to see you.
She is young, about late teens or early twenties. The rumors are true. She pulls her hood back and holds a finger to her lips signaling for you to keep quiet. Leaning in close, she whispers in your ear.
“I can’t get you out of here, but take this with you,” she says. She presses parchment into you tied hands. “Hide it. Guard it.”
That same evening, when Lazarus hasn’t come back, Seva bursts into the storehouse under the mill to find you. She’s out of breath and has been running to find you.
”Lazarus...taken...Blackwood...manor...” she says. She stops to catch her breath. “Blackwood’s men have Lazarus!”

Was there a concern?
(Oh, no concern... I just wanted to bump the thread, and that was one way to do it. It worked, technically...)

Neona, who was laying on her bedroll and picking her teeth after a reasonable supper leaps to her feet throwing her toothpick into the fire. Luna rouses and stands at attention and Neona rushes about grabbing donning her armor, then strapping on Luna's saddle and bags. Neona stuffs everything she thinks she might need into a backpack. While she's running about she says,
"Well, we were planning on starting at the manor to begin with right? I suppose now's as good a time as any. I can't imagine we can leave him there for long before they will kill him. What's our plan, smash through the front gates? Count us in, right Luna?!"
Lazarus, Cassia shakes her head. “I can’t say much. I’m a prisoner, like you.” She takes out a knife and cuts your bonds. Then she puts the knife in your hand. “Just take that parchment with you. I’ll do what I can to create an moment when you can get out of here. I wouldn’t try to leave yet. They’re everywhere. Now, I have to go.”
"Well this just got interesting, I don't think we can take them in a frontal assault, there are too many of them, perhaps we could sneak in and get him out, I'm sure we could aquire some uniforms easily enough"
