No bannister. The stairs are plain and simple in comparison to the rest of the temple. Following the priest and Soren you are guided to a large iron vault door at the end of a short hallway. The priest uses the keys on the door and recites a phrase in an unfamiliar language.(Any one who speaks Celestial he says, “Indulge in this life for they may not have another.”)
There’s a red spark as the words appear on the door, searing themselves into it. You hear the sound of metal scraping against metal as the door slowly opens.
The door parts and what is revealed is a room in chaos. Jewelry and gold trinkets lay scattered across the floor, broken potion bottles with their contents spilling out. There are several banners on the wall that have been torn apart. One of the walls, all of which are made of the same metal the door is blown open, the metal peeling inwards. In the center of the room is a podium that on top is a glass case wrapped in what look to be papers inscribed in runes and glyphs. ( think of those fancy jewelry display cases you see in museums and show rooms) The podium has several sets of prayer beads wrapped around it. The front of the glass case is smashed open.
“ No!” The priest says as he rushes to the case.
“It’s gone, Soren! It’s gone! They’ve taken it. If they break it- if they set it free Soren then we are doomed. Wee Jas protect us. We have to get it back.”

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
There are no traps that Tangle can see as she slips into the sewers, looking around you are able to spot a bunch of brightly colored tracks. It seems the goblins were not careful and stepped into the remains of the potions and left a trail behind.
Anyone looking around would also note that the metal walls have dozens of little doors on them. A close look reveals them to be lock boxes.
"Wait ma'am!" The priest, runs over to one of the little lock boxes on the walls. Opening it he produces four golden colored potions to give to the group.
"Here, I can't help but imagine you all are tired, these are prototypes but they should help you all, it will restore you for a little while. After a few hours though you will be hit with an awful wave of exhaustion, just be careful that you're not anywhere you don't want to pass out."
The party is gifted four potions of well-being.
The potion will give the drinker the benefits of a long rest, but after 5 hours the potions effect wears off and causes the drinker to suffer one point of exhaustion.
Perry takes one of the potions, uncorked it, and sniffs, eyeing suspiciously. He holds the bottle up to his shoulder for his familiar to examine. The small bird absently preens her feathers and ignores the bottle all together. Shrugging, Perry downs the contents in one swallow.
His eyes go a little wide and he smiles and stands up straighter as the effects of the day's exertions and a hundred small hurts seem to melt away. He unslings his pack and takes out a small, simple censer and places it on the ground. He places inside a small pinch of incense from the bundle he bought earlier today and makes it smoking with a snap of his meaty fingers and a single inaudible word.
He breathes in the scented smoke and begins to speak softly, beseechingly in Auran. "Oh, Rider of Winds, embrace us always with your warm and gentle breezes. Fill our hearts with happiness and pride as your whispers cure the wounds of those that walk no path, but go only where your winds take them..." His voice changes to an angry wind. "From the proud mountains and the noble shores your wrath is come. May a gust of wind drive back and batter down all those that dare stand against the storm." Perry continues on in this way for several long moments, oblivious to those around him. He strings prayers and adulations together one after the other until he his full again with divine power.
When it is over, he tamps out the incense and places his censer back in his pack. He stands to look at the others and nods his readiness.

Fenchurch looks to the Priest, and thinks to the bruises welling beneath him and exhausted store of arcane power.
'Thank you kindly good sir" he says, and chugs the drink.
After the feeling of well being immediately overcomes him, Fenchurch is elated, and then concerned, thinking about what else might be in these lock boxes.
"Are we sure that nothing else was taken?" He asks, and starts checking the locks for signs that they were messed with.
Tangle will take the potion and stow it carefully for use later
OOC > It's basically a full-up healing potion, right? Plus spell slots, etc. All she has of that is her Fey Step, which does need recharging, but she's going to hold off....

Fenchurch, while nothing seem to have been taken from the lock boxes on the other walls. It seems most likely the goblins have scooped up the what they could from the gold and jewelry on the floor.
Yes it is a full-up healing potion. Last for five hours and then the drinker takes a point of exhaustion.
With Tangle leading the charge into the tunnel, are you all trying to be sneaky or charging forward? If stealth i need stealth checks.
The party descends into the dark tunnels, the group manages to cover Perry's clanking as they walk. As Tangle guides you through the tunnels you take twist and turns in paths unfamiliar to you. The footprints lead to a smaller hole in one of the walls that appears to have been freshly dug out. Peering through it reveals an longer tunnel system. The presence of the footprints suggest the goblins fled through these tunnels. Traveling through the tunnels it, so small that only Fenchurch is able to walk through them comfortably, the party has to get down on their hands and knees to crawl through them. It takes you an hour before the tunnels begin widen up, and another two hours before you are able to see some sign other then footprints in the dirt, there at the end of the tunnel appears to be a makeshift wooden door at the end of the tunnel. A little bit of light filters in through the gaps in the boards.
Fenchurch tries to keep up, but his little legs result in him lagging behind.

The door doesn't seemed to be trapped. A closer look show that it is just a slab of planks leaned against the wall.
