As Einar is unhitching and securing the oxen, he can hear what he assumes to be a stream or brook. He easily finds the smallish water source nearby and is able to collect some fresh water for the beasts and the group.
Nif does in fact get a healthy fire going.
Let's make it a habit that if you're offering to take a watch, go ahead and roll a perception check. If two of you are watching together, each of you roll.
OOC: I am an idiot, as I totally forgot that Tess already cooked the bacon. Sorry about that guys, no cooking needed.
After finishing with the animals, Einar brings the two buckets and sets them near the fire. One is full of water and set upright. The other is empty and set upside down, upon which he sits and opens up one of the packages of bacon prepared by Tess. He sets a few pieces at a time into a cook pan to warm them up.
"Bacon will be set in just a few seconds, come get it while it's hot."

Yeah, I meant to bring that up last night, but got a little side-tracked.
Vondal did his part, much as he was able to do so. Be it aiding Eidar or simply keeping a temporary look out while things are getting properly in order. But eventually he finds a seat by the fire, and eagerly sets into the bacon and cheese once the former is warmed(possibly) and served up. "Good on ya, Einar. Whoo~ I'm starving!"Despite his words, he is dainty and proper as he could be about the whole process of consumption.
"If it's all the same, I'll take last watch. After all that walking, I definitely need to get into proper morning stretches!"
For Vondal's 3rd(Last) Watch: 11.

Only those sitting around the fire with Nif read this (Nif don't read this):
As Nif is eating, you happen to notice him "hiding" some of his food in his clothing. He's attempting to not let anyone see this, but the food is giving him more trouble than he anticipated. He doesn't seem to be aware that anyone has noticed.
What's the likelihood we have seen this behavior from him before?

Einar and Bron (if you're sitting around the fire with Nif):
You have never seen Nif do this before, but you do know that he spent some years living on the street, and you could perhaps associate this behavior with that.
Vondal and Karl (if you're sitting around the fire with Nif):
You witnessed Nif do this (hide food) some after he was first brought to you. It's been a while, though.
Einar is more concerned with finishing up the cooking and cleaning up afterward.

A frown grows and Vondal's eating slows until he sets his food aside. "Everything alright, Brother? I know its probably been longer still for you then any of us since you've been outside the city gate. It is enough to make anyone a bit jittery. My sister once told me she used to have it all the time when she first joined the Deep Guard." He admits, as turns his gaze skyward.

Nif looks up at Vondal. "We only have so many days food. Who knows if we will finish this job in time? And I would rather not go hungry later, when I have plenty of food here." Nif says simply
Vondal sighs and shakes his head. "But you won't go hungry. And if you weaken yourself out of needless worry, you're only increasing the odds of failure. Sides-..." Vondal falls onto his back and made a head pillow out of his arms. "You know me and Uncle are looking out for you. No matter how things turn out. This, I can promise. And you know I don't take promises lightly. T'is zhy I never make one I can't keep." Vondal gives Nif a firm look.

The night goes by uneventfully. As dawn approaches, there's a slight breeze coming from the west, and clouds roll in from the sea. It looks like it might rain, but it's hard to tell. Einar quickly hitches the oxen. The five perform their morning rituals and pack up, making sure to leave the campsite as they found it.
They continue south on the High Road. A few showers roll in and out, but nothing too miserable. Despite the more uncomfortable rain, the party actually passes two other wagons today. One is a half-elf farmer and his son traveling north with a wagon full of barrels. The two groups nod in greeting and continue their way without speaking. The second is a carriage pulled by three white horses. The carriage driver, a human, does not acknowledge the dwarves, but steers the steeds steadily north. The human footman on the back watches the five dwarves warily, but makes no threatening moves as they pass.
As the dwarves continue south, the breeze dies away and they see less and less sea birds. By the evening, the clouds have broken up. Again, about an hour before sundown, the party pulls into a campsite for the night. They estimate that the Triboar Trail is just a little further south.
Einar once again takes care of the oxen first thing upon stopping. Instead of cooking though, he sets about crafting his shield. He opts for the simpler and faster route of notching the rim of the lid and using two loops of rope for straps. It's not a pretty shield, but it should do the job if the need arises. When finished crafting, he takes some time to practice with both the shield and the borrowed battleaxe, trying to get used to them before needing to use them. Before bed, he'll smoke his pipe for a bit to settle his nerves.

Once they are at the new campsite, Nif will light the fire (survival 15) and then once again go find a tree to sit against, just outside the immediate vicinity of the fire. "I will take second watch again."
