"I would keep that ones " says Adrom when they discover the diamonds "They could be handy in the future if Moradin sees appropiate to heal the most grievious wounds, even those that would kill a warrior if the prayer is done fast enough. But I am afraid I don't have that kind of power yet. "
He looks to Daran in case he is able to do that
( Adrom is talking about that lvl 3 spells that could become really handy against a dragon ;) )
Sharing Daran's concerns about going after a dragon he mumbles when they reach the hill
" Element of surprise... hmpf, only if that worm is deaf and blind, but let's do this your way... May Moradin bless us all... " he says touching his holy symbol and all feel for a second the presence of the Dwarf God in their hearts.
( Casting Bless at lvl 2 will cover all 5 of us right? If not, Adrom will leave himself out of the spell to protect the others )
(@DDP: Ah well! Worth a shot. Someday I'll be able to use that spell for something crazier than just a battlefield trench. Someday!)
(Also, thanks for the retcon. In the future, I'll try to look at what I got a lot more closely. Though funny thing is, I'm pretty sure when I first got it, I read that part. But since was a waaaays back, I forgot not long after.)
(Quick flashback reply...)
Adrom hardly needed to finish his sentence before Vondal is holding the discovery out for the man to take. "You had me at Moradin." He 'd say, before letting out a weak chuckle as he went back to gravedigging tasks.
(Back to the present...)
Vondal finishes up doing some quick math, being far smarter than some rando at a keyboard that forgets things about a character, and what he thinks of leaves him scowling inwardly. "No, no, you're right Adrom. We can try still, and take the bit more direct route, but be ready with those Moradin blessed miracles."He affirms. After which, he follows behind Karl, trying and likely failing to be all that stealthy in searching the cottage for an adjoining door to the tower.
Though having felt the blessings of Moradin before, some haste is at least taken to not waste it.
(@Frandal: Indeed. At level 2 it will cover us all.)
Bless at second level will cover four (three at 1st, four at 2nd, five at 3rd, etc.). Are you intending the bless to help with stealth? If not, let's wait, since it only lasts a minute. Unless you're all planning to run in, which would negate the stealth.
(Same here for Vondal, even though he has clearly failed this for the team. Here's hoping our heavily armored friends and the rogue can make up for the dividend if considered a group check.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Daran stealth: 20
Nif stealth: 17
After the party has a short discussion about the feasibility of trying to create an earthen ramp up to the open rooftop, they finally relent and approach and enter the cottage. The humble space contains only dusty furniture draped in webbing. There is a door on the far wall, which looks like another exterior door, and a door to the right, which looks like an interior door and most likely gives access to the tower. Nif moves almost silently, but the others are having trouble doing the same, and there is a lot of shushing and stern looks exchanged as the group approaches the interior door not as steathily as they'd like.
Daran hovers at the back as usual, allowing the "younger" adventurers take the lead.
After taking a look at any visible hinge work to better judge how the door might open, Vondal dies his way to stand beside it on the hinge side if there's room enough, Zindral in hand. Once in position, he gives Karl the go ahead to open the door as arrow is at least positioned and string partially primed for some dragon shooting.

Realising that he was trying to push a pull door and that he might look a little foolish Karl manages to make it look like the door was jammed and then pulls it open carefully and peers in.
Karl, as you pull the door open and peek in, your eyes immediately catch sight of the green dragon within. It immediately exhales a green cloud at the partially opened door.
Everyone roll initiative. Karl, please roll a DEX save DC15 to find out whether you're fast enough to close the door before the cloud of poison escapes into the cottage.
CON save vs posion in case it will be necesary: 24
I let to the GM wise discretion if Adrom would cast that bless just before they proceed to open the door or just after the roll of initiative. Either is fine for me :) )

Karl quickly attempts to shut the door (Dex {DC15} = 11 As he frantically tries to pull the door shut a gust of wind (Adrom's Bless) comes out of nowhere {1} but it is insufficient to blow the door shut in time, and Karl cops the blast of poison gas full in the face (Save = 23)
(OOC: if Danger sense applies here is a second set of rolls to reflect advantage - 6)
{Please ignore the cheat banner all it did was turn the second dex sav from '8' to '7'}

As the cloud of poison is expelled from the dragon, Karl attempts to close the door, but he is too slow, and the cottage is filled with the translucent green cloud.

Everyone coughs and sputters as Karl finishes closing the door, but Vondal and Daran both collapse.

Karl is not running anywhere. He is approaching as stealthily as he can which may not be as stealthily as he would like.

The door opens into the cottage and would be pulled open from your side. It is not completely latched.
