Adrom, you're completely caught off guard by the thorn bush growing up around your legs. You attempt to high step out of the way, but end up falling to the side into the bush before finally jumping out. In the end, you are cut from head to foot by the horrendously long thorns. You are bleeding profusely and are swaying on your feet.
Through a fog of near-unconsciousness, Adrom calls upon his spiritual weapon to hit again, but his extreme physical weariness causes the weapon to miss its intended target. (I shouldn't have asked you to roll a disadvantage roll since you'd already missed.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nif watches the thorns carefully and he tries to see a away that he can sneak around the thorns. With a prayer to Moradin, he darts in, attempting to stab the dragon, before sneakily disengaging and stepping back.
Vondal steps into the room once more. Just far enough to see the wall yet remained, and Nif having risked life and limb to get in another stab at the dragon. Something he should -- would do in a heartbeat.
Vondal's Flaw: "No matter the personal sacrifice, I'll give my last for those that I consider friends and true family."
With such in mind, Vondal takes a few rushed breath, girding himself for pain; only to hesitate at the first step, wide-eyed at a new thought. "The crystal!" Vondal hurriedly takes out his focus, and after some fussing over the command words, settles on "Dergish!", causing it to glow with an inner light that seems to irradiate the nearby plant-life. "Thorn Bearers. Slash and restrain the green scaled one -- the dragon -- in the tower! " He commands them, or so he hopes so successfully.
He then ducks back around the corner(same position).
Nif, keeping my "difficult terrain affects moving out of a square not into it" rule in mind, that means it would cost you five feet of movement to move diagonally to where you could see into the door. But then I also subscribe to the "5-10-5-10" diagonal movement rule, so it would actually double the amount of feet used to move diagonally back (since Adrom is in the way). That would mean it would take 40 feet of movement to move back to where you are. This all seems wonky, I know, but no matter the math, with the bush speed being 20 feet for every five, and diagonal movement being double every other diagonal, if you move diagonally in to where you can stab the dragon through the door, you cannot move away on this turn. Is that what you want to do — stay in the doorway after your attack?
I wish I wasn't such an idiot. Technically, Nif shouldn't be able to stay in the doorway because of where Adrom is. However, since I doubt Adrom will care, and because I should pay more attention, I'm going to move Adrom down a square and allow Nif to do what I offered him, which is to stay in the doorway. Why you so big?!
Fumble roll for Nif's second attack: 2
Nif dodges the wall enough to get a good attack in to the dragon. However, the dragon is ready for the second attack, and catches the blade with its jaws, breaking the blade off the handle.
As Vondal's command persuades the wall of thorny foliage to bend forward to attack and then fall back again, Nif has to once again dodge being impaled.
As the wall of thorny foliage relaxes back into its standing position, Nif skillfully directs the branches in a way which keeps the wicked thorns from piercing him.

Is athletics considered a strength check? I think so as I'm not making an attack. Reason for question is that I get advantage on strength checks while raging!

"Don't listen to 'im - its full of shite!" Karl calls out to Adrom as he continues to cling onto the neck of the dragon.

On his Turn, could Nif attempt to burn away the brush?
(Dex save: 6 )
Edit: ( Crap! He would not be known as "Adrom the Nimble I am afraid" XD )
Adrom yells as the sudden brush push him away and the thorns pierce through armor and flesh.
He frees himself from it and uses some of Moradin's magic to heal himself, for the pain and the sudden loss of blood is making his vision blurred.
" We are meal of no one!" he yells and orders the spiritual weapon to attack again.

Karl attempts to hang onto the Dragon's neck with all of his strength (19) and does so.

Is it Karl's action - i.e. was the dragon's attempt (unsuccessful I believe) to throw Karl off its back its whole turn?
DM - Stopping a god in his tracks
*sigh* Yes. I can attack three times or attempt to break a grapple once. It's not fair.
Karl, you're up!
