Watching Nif fall back down the slope, Karl says as he attempts to make the climb, “Never send a boy to do a man’s job!” He works his way up the precarious escarpment, but as soon as he steps on the first landing, just like Nif, the cliff slides out from under him. He falls backward (6), but is able to keep himself upright. He ends up at L6.
Vondal skillfully climbs the slippery wall up onto the side of the bridge. He glances to the west and then walks 10 feet to the east. To his surprise and disappointment, he spots another (blue) goblin 10 feet away mostly hidden and looking like it's on the lookout.

Bron's athletics: 16
Bron attempts to climb the wall, but he isn't able to get enough purchase on the sheer, damp surface.
Vondal hears a grunt and some kind of thump and then the sound of rushing water. The other four dwarves look northeast as the passage is suddenly filled with a mighty roar, as a huge surge of rushing water pours down from above again! Nif again attempts to make a leap into the west passage to escape the rushing waters. (DEX save: 7) He dives forward (K7). Karl attempts to turn and hold onto the rock wall. (DEX save: 18) He is able to dodge the force of the water. Einar braces himself against the flood. (DEX save: 18) His stance is like a pillar of stone; the water runs around him like he isn't even there.
(Forgot about Bron.) The water gets to Bron first. (DEX save: 19) His position in the niche of the wall helps him brace against the water and he simply gets wet.
Still round 6. Nif, Einar and Blue to go before Karl kicks off round 7.
On the map, Vondal and Blue are the only ones on the upper portion. Bron and the dead yellow goblin look like they're on the upper portion, but they're not.
(OOC: Did Einar's 18 Athletics check not make it up the wall? Or did it just not get back to his turn yet?)

It hasn't gotten to Einar's turn yet. I got confused with the pre-post. You can apply it to this turn or change it now that there's been new developments.
(OOC: No change. The left path does not appear to be working out all that well.)

Karl follows Nif up the wall and starts to traverse past the slippery section muttering to himself "it's not often I go around an obstacle rather than through it!"If the climb is successful he will end up in I6 while Nif ends up in H6.
Nif, more determined than ever, attempts again to traverse the loose gravel and dirt of the escarpment. And, once again, his weigh is too much for the ledge, and he comes sliding down, despite his attempts to keep moving forward. He is, at the last minute, able to leap and land on his feet (L7) without hurting himself again. He's getting the idea that this is a futile effort. Einar moves north toward the bridge (N5). He nimbly scales the wall, careful to pick good holds and avoid sliding back down. This round, he gets up level with the bridge, 20 feet up, but he is still on the wall, not yet on the bridge. The (blue) goblin turns to look down the tunnel and spots Vondal. It hollars something in Ghukliak and runs at Vondal, brandishing a scimitar. (Attack: 22, Damage: 8) Vondal attempts to block the attack, but his previous injuries hinder his reflexes, and the goblin is able to slice across his ribs. The dwarf goes down. Bron sees the (blue) goblin appear on the east side of the bridge (Einar and Nif hear it, but are looking in other directions) and then disappear back down the tunnel.
Round 7: Karl (5/16), Vondal (0/12, 0 saves, 0 fails), Bron (6/12), Black, Yellow Wolf (unconscious), Red, Nif (10/10), Einar (11/16), Blue
Karl, after Nif's continued failure to climb the escarpment, I'm going to allow you to change your turn if you would like. Vondal, you can go ahead and make a death saving throw. Bron, if you want to try the wall again, make an athletics check.

(That goblin is so dead! >:( )
Vondal falls to his knee clutching his latest wound. Shock kept him from crying out in pain. As the stone flooring quickly began to swallow the entirety of his vision, everything goes dark...
Somewhere in the darkness, he heard something. A distant voice that grew louder with every passing second. He ignored it as best as he could, wanting nothing more than finish taking part... What was it that he was trying to do again?
'Focus, Vnuk(grandson)... You are so close now... That's it... Let the energy -- the storm flow through you... Now breathe...'
Vondal awoke gasping for air and looking around frantically before pain flared up in chest. Glancing down, he still sees the wound, though strangely... it was smaller than it should've been. Before he can focus on questioning one mystery, he hears the goblin begin scrambling away. Gritting his teeth, he surges to his feet and at the goblin. Rather than go for either bow or Quarterstaff, he takes out his sister's handaxe and swings to chop into the Goblin's thigh. Hopefully slowed, if only for a second, Vondal tries to catch it in the throat with a sharp jab meant to incapacitate the goblin.
The whole while his eyes are wide and faint sparks dance off his finger tips.
Bron scrambles up the wall, leaping from handhold to handhold. If he manages to get up(and climbing was just his move) he blasts the goblin with some more crackling eldritch energy from his sword.
Bron, unfortunately, you needed to roll a 15 athletics to get up the wall, and with a roll of 15, your -1 athletics modifier means you don't make it up the wall. The good news is Vondal's attacks were enough to take out the goblin.
Vondal, you still have half your movement left, so you can move 10 feet.
I misunderstood what Nif and Karl were wanting to do, so Karl is going to post something in a little bit which will affect Nif's last turn and then Karl's turn for this round. I'll wait and post in the morning (or around lunchtime if I don't have time before church).
Realising that the wall is too slippery to climb, Nif and Karl dash down to S12 and R12 where Karl says to Nif "young-uns first" as Nif tries to squeeze through the gap to T12 followed by Karl who tries to squeeze through to just the other side of the choke-point in S12.
Unless Vondal took out the goblin with those two attacks, Vondal isn't gonna move other than to have gotten within melee in the first place, or better position himself to block off its escape to the east without leaving its reach.

Nif, from K7 (your place before moving last round), you can get to O10. That is your turn for round 6 (revised because of misunderstanding). Karl, from L6, you can get to P11.
Vondal, you dispatched the goblin. To keep the game going, I'm going to assume you move back toward the bridge with your 1 hp.
(Last round) Nif looks at the walls of the west tunnel to see if there's a way to climb using them instead of the escarpment. The walls look incredibly smooth, so he gives up on the idea and moves south, down to where the two dead wolves and the one unconscious wolf lay. He enters the den and dashes to the back. A narrow opening in the east wall leads to who knows where. All he can see is another wall very close behind. He would think it was just a very small cave, but at the base of the fissure is rubbish that appears to have been discarded. It looks like this is some kind of trash chute from an upper level. Karl joins him.
Nif and Karl, I will need athletics checks from both of you to continue forward this way.
Vondal is able to pull himself together (see post #392) and shakes himself awake from unconsciousness. As the (blue) goblin hurries by toward the east, he jumps to his feet, takes his sister's handaxe, and dispatches the goblin. He then limps back to the west to see what's taking his comrades so long (P5). Bron once again attempts to climb the wall. He does get a little ways up, but he ends up sliding back down, landing with no injury. As Vondal is watching Bron attempt to climb, he hears footsteps behind him. He turns to see the largest (black) goblin the group has seen on this troublesome journey. It stands its ground (S7), looking at him like a bull waiting to charge.
Einar will finish his climb and, seeing this larger goblin ready to charge, manuever to get in front of Vondal and take a defensive stance.
(Not sure if Einar has enough movement to do this after the climb, but it is what he would try to do. If he can't get in front of Vondal, Einar will attempt to brace him against any attempt to knock him off the bridge.)
