"It could certainly garner good graces and help us strike a deal. But we don't really know much of what is going on or the circumstances. We need to draw them out or have them parlay."
Casting Thaumaturgy Devin calls out in a loud voice. "Can you come out and talk! Its raining and we'd like to conduct our business! My cat is getting wet!"
A different voice to Hungryfella's yells back - not quite as loudly as Devin's Thaumaturgy enhanced voice - responds "why - you got more food? Cat - wet or dry - not go very far!"
D.O.R.K leans to the right, and asked of Devin without looking away from the boulder, "As my taste buds are underdeveoloped, do you know if Ogres taste that bad? Or perhaps have a means to make them taste better?"
Once she had one answer or another, she turns back and waves, signaling Beedo to bring the Mr. G and the cart forward, as it took them several minutes to cross the remaining stretch of mire last. If need be, she even made her own voice booming as well to call him over.

"Yes, I have some other food as well. I can only assume it tastes better than ogre having never eaten one myself." Devin responds. "I just don't want it to get wet."
Toruun looks around at the pouring rain and grumbles "you know if I think just a bit i can think of something better to do than stand around in the rain discussing recipes for ogre. What about you lot?"
"Such a method would certainly cross off a number of issues at the price of others." As D.O.R.K said that last piece, she looks in the direction of Lukian. "This is unlikely to kill them, or at least most of them. But certainly put them in an extremely difficult position if done right. So tell us, Brother. Do you have enough material for the suggestion? And if so, how might we at least help 'set the stage' for the eventuality that they do not heed our request?"

Do you think we can just blow the whole tower up and get out of this sodden mess? Devin asks
Toruun grins at him "well it might have been solid once but its looking a bit rickety now. I reckon if I place a package of blasting powder either side of the stone I can bring the whole thing down"he says as he turns and heads back to the cart to get his blasting powder.
"How is blowing up their home going to do anything but set them against us?" Lukian asks.
"Not sure Hill Giants like anything other than food really! So it probably wont make much of a difference either way. The question is do I set these charges or not?"Toruun responds
"It is the safer and sure option, rather than potentially becoming trapped in there if there mood yet sours during... negotiations."D.O.R.K adds. "But if you truly set on this course of 'trying', then it is up to you, Acolyte Lukian, that must offer another solution for entry that does not infringe upon their mood. As so far, they've hardly proven enticed by our offers, as they appear to have some meal in place already. Which considering their appetites, may not be so appealing to the sensibilities of everyone here."She explained. Vark looks pointedly away, scratching the at his cheek.
"More to a point, the longer we wait out in this rain for that to happen, the more likely it is will be simply forgotten until the next day... if we're-..."She catches herself, and immediately does a short prayer of absolution for having used the word 'Lucky' of all things as an acolyte of the red night. "The more we risk you all become ill in these conditions, or worse. So, what do your propose, Lukian, as... I unfortunately have nothing more to assist in your endeavor... Nothing I am willing to expend at least, without it putting us in a poorer position."

Ebonitus says "I'm not entirely certain the blowing up the tower is the best idea because it may leave us with 5 Angry Hill Giants and I think that taking on 5 Angry Hill giants at once could be a little bit nasty." He continues, "Is there any other way to resolve this. I do not think that we will be able to find a treaty that will satisfy them and us, because we would simply not be able to feed them as much as they need. They upset the balance of nature in this area and they need to be removed from this landscape." Almost as an afterthought he adds: "I am starting to feel the cold and wet and think it is time for action, so if blowing up the tower is the only way to move this forward, let's do it."

Lukian retracts Dawnbringer and puts the hilt in his belt. He then mimics Dork, climbing up the side of the tower to the window she looked in to see the bound giant. Once he can see inside, he'll gauge if he could climb in to release the bound giant without being caught.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lukian (Climb check DC10+4 [very rocks] = 21 {including athletics} tries to climb the tower but despite his best efforts including taking a running jump is unable due to the pouring rain and the moss on the walls able to get sufficient grip to climb high enough to see in the first lot of arrow slits.
(OOC: DDP I figured it was easier if I made the roll so I could keep the narrative going)
Devin watches as Lukiam returns defeated in his attempt to scale the wall. "Here try this stuff, Pixies fly right?" As Devin reaches into his pouch and and tosses a pinch Pixie Dust onto Lukian

As the dust settles over Lukian then (1) the Eladrin suddenly finds that he can fly. He quickly lifts himself the 10 feet necessary to peer in the arrow slit. Just as D.O.R.K. had described he can see that standing on the floor of the tower of the tower with some sort of halter on its neck is a Hill Giant
He can also see that there is some sort of floor above the Hill giant with a hole in its centre.
"It had some sort of collar around its neck which looks like it was tied to a shackle in the wall!" D.O.R.K. responds

"Perhaps this is why Hungryfella referred to the stepsister as wicked," Lukian comments. "Should we attempt to free it?"

"Yeah we got the rest of these ogres and stuff we brought along! Come on out and we'll make the delivery." He calls using the same cantrip.
The voice responds "Who speaks? What stuff you bring along? Better than Ogre I hope?"
