As for D.O.R.K, she spends at a least a few moments staring off in the direction of the sound, trying to judge if the sounds were more alarmed from an attack, or merely the standard sounds of sheep herding.
The sounds are exactly that and simply represent shepherds moving their sheep along the paths down from the uplands to the downlands - also known as transhumance.
As the shepherds come into view one of them yells out "Well its is t' giant 'unters! 'a did thy giant 'untin nip on? theur wowd be welcome a' wee camp t'neet."
Torunn will talk under his breath to whoever is near them. "I think we should continue to push on if we want to interupt this meeting. Even if its costs us some sleep."
Devin grins as the shepherds come into sight, but not for the shepherds but at watching Beedo's backside bury itself into the wagon.
"Better run Beedo, those sheep will getcha!" he laughs out loud.
"Hail and well met!" he calls out to the shepherds. "The immediate giant threat has been taken care. You can rest easy tonight. We have been searching for a place to camp, Daylight comes to an end soon. I think we may welcome the company, but we also have pressing business elsewhere. Say would you know how far it is yet to Longsaddle? Or have ya heard of Nesme and know how far it is to its gates?"
Everyone hears something shouted in goblin back in response to Devin's jests. It didn't take a genius to figure out it was an insult of some kind. Vark just shook his head at the response, before returning to tending to Mr. G, but while keeping his distance as well from the Shepherds. As for D.O.R.K, having previously given up on trying to understand the sheperds, would just leave the others to handling that whole ordeal.
If she ever overheard Torunn's comment about continuing on through the night, she either ignored it or chose to stew on that one during her patrol.

Ebonitus says quietly to D.o.r.k and to Toruun, "I have been wracking my brain re the location of Nesme relative to Longsaddle. I do not think we can go to Longsaddle and back to Nesme in time to see what is going to happen at that meeting. I think we need to turn around and head to Nesme with some haste." He then repeats this to the other members of the party.

Ebonitus de Viribus - Level 4 Cleric - The Storm King's Thunder - The Gods Respond.
D.O.R.K froze at the revelation initially, but without another word after a moment, hurriedly returned to her Mr. G to coordinate with the goblinoid acolytes to get Mr. G ready. A task easier said than done given Beedo's weariness about sheperd hounds yet lurking about. But eventually, they get the process started at the very least...

Ebonitus uses the Helm of Telepathy on the shepherd talking to Lukian to see if he can get a clearer idea of exactly where Nesme is. (save: Wis DC13). Initially just looking at surface thoughts as Lukian is conversing.
"Aaaah", thinks Ebonitus, "I know where that is, yes we must get moving to get there in time." He then returns to D.o.r.k. to help with the preparations for moving.

"We will not be able to push him too hard, least we find ourselves without him. But, he will do his best, as we shall do the same... for our respective deites, and the worlds they have blessed with their care and attention."She stated, and with that looked to the others. "If you are all ready, we shall depart now. Acolyte Lukian? I would request that you light the way when the time is most needed. We may yet attract more attention to ourselves, but Mr. G cannot see in the dark."

Would Lukian have heard Torunn? He's ready to accept their offer if not.
