”it’s eating people. I want to kill it.” Jack rubs his hands together (if he had a mustache, he’d Be twiddling it). “By that, I mean so that it doesn’t keep murdering people. a mighty test of strength and sport!”
(Iskander and Trimyrai weren't around for the initial posts, so I'll repeat the information here. Read the "spoilers" whenever you want. Froskan and Reverie fill in the details for what Jack is saying.)
Description from post 260: ...you come across the Primus Road. It has been a while since any of you have seen it, and the view is always awe inspiring. It is 40' wide, extending beyond the horizon east to the old cities, and west to Nunkreet. The road is made of seamlessly interconnected slabs of granite, basalt, quartzite, and marble. The surface is smooth enough for the wagons to roll without any bumps, but still course enough to avoid slipping. The road winds around the larger hills, but the precision and straightness of the road's build is beyond the work of human or dwarven masons. There is no wear, despite countless traffic (like the caravan you are in). The road looks like it was built yesterday.
Post 515, people don't camp on the road: ...The caravan continues traveling along the Primus Road, with a few detours to trade with nearby towns and villages. You notice that the caravan stays off the Road at night. One of the merchants in your wagon explains, "The Road can be damaged (with great difficulty), but somehow repairs itself overnight. But people have sometimes... disappeared... when the Road is active. Although those accidents are very rare, it is just safer to stay off the Road when you aren't moving."
Post 521, the person talking is superstitious: ..."Common knowledge is the Road took them... It is wonderful, but it is unnatural." The merchant shifts uneasy, and makes a subconscious gesture that the group recognizes as a superstition to ward off celestial and infernal events. "It is safe to use, as long as you don't loiter on it." He turns to another merchant and starts chatting happily about the weather to change the subject.

Jack just looks at you. “I know it is a road... because I traveled on it. What do ye travel on? Roads. It looks, smells, and sounds like a road. Therefore, it is a road.”
(i’d Just like to say, Quasimodal, I really enjoy this road.)
(and Karino, I wouldn’t trust jack. My plan is to use a bear trap on someone to lure the road out.)
Reverie hums as she looks at Jack with the smallest smile. "So we are going to hunt down the road soon?"

“There is a long time between me and that road. I say we investigate where Theren went after the helmet. There’s could get kille, or worse!. And we start by looking in to the church of Bane.” Jack looks at Reverie. “Now, I know they could care less about anything else, but they enjoy their worshippers, right? So therefore, they would like it when people do things they would do. Do he guys think Bane would enslave and sell, people? Either way, I say we look into it.
Trimyrai: (to party) "Well i definitely wish to continue the slavery investigation. If you think checking out the church is better than exploring further up the coast then lets go to the church."

(Interrupting the talk of the future... Checking if the party has decided on plans for the present. Let me know if I should change or add to the following:
Trimyrai spends 100 GP and gets 2 potions of healing from the temple of Eldath
Group has dinner and goes to sleep at the Portly Warthog
Wakes up, has breakfast, and is at The Wise Man's Gold as it opens at 9am. )

(It is mid-afternoon. You have time to do more shopping, which includes getting those 2 healing potions for the temple of Eldath. You could go to the Diamondbrook house right away, if you want. Reverie looks at Jack and then to Iskandar when they talked about the road and the animated ghost armor. Then she looks at the other companions. "Then, I guess it is better to check on the church of Bane first. Everything that happens around here seems a bit curious to me and cannot make me doubt about the Bane." A pause. "Perhaps, we can ask about this animated ghost armor at the temple of the Bane. Would they know about this after all?"
