Beegred will look around for a blacksmith willing to sell things to the party (weapons, armor, shield). Primarily looking for a shield, but even a few replacement arrows would be nice. (Does Skameros have any acid-damaged weapons that need repairing?)
Or if the gnomes are looking to buy/barter weapons, Beegred will sell the spare short sword.
There wasn't any luck last time with the limited resources in town, but maybe the situation has improved. Or maybe now that the party is doing tasks for the gnomes, the shopkeepers will be a little more trusting.

Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
Before you helped out with the ooze attack in the market, killing the Medusa and activating the Menhir, the gnomes were not trusting and grossly overcharging for anything you wished to buy. But now their opinion of your party has changed and they will trade fairly.
However, the last time you tried to buy weapons or armor, there just weren't any to buy. That is still the case. Your party is well aware that the gnomes themselves are poorly equipped, using rag-tag armor and ooze damaged weapons. If you're selling the spare short sword, they definitely are interested in buying.
You've also come to realize that most underdark races use variations of crossbows. Bows and especially longbows are rare, as well as their arrows. You could buy materials and try to fletch your own, with skill checks of course.
As they go around, Rodolfo will find a buyer for "three green-gold bracelets (25gp each)" that he had in his inventory from god knows where. He will also buy (spell inscription) ink for two spell levels (100 gold, right?)
For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp. The cost represents material components you expend as you experiment with the spell to master it, as well as the fine inks you need to record it. Once you have spent this time and money, you can prepare the spell just like your other spells.
Level 1 spell: 50gp of paper, ink and material components used up practicing the casting of the new spell. 2 hours to decipher, practice and transcribe.
Level 2 spell: 100 gp of paper, ink and material components used up practicing the casting of the new spell. 4 hours to decipher, practice and transcribe.
Level 3 spell: 150 gp of paper, ink and material components used up practicing the casting of the new spell. 6 hours to decipher, practice and transcribe.
Beegred will mutter in complaint that there are the same number of arrows in the Foaming Mug as in the weapon shops.
He does not sell his spare short sword, unless there is something useful in exchange. Doesn't sound like there are any shields, but if one is found, he would be willing to give the normal price (10 GP) and the short sword for a shield. (Basically, willing to pay double price.)
I am assuming Nomi will interrupt Beegred with enough questions to minimize his speculations and to get the information she actually wants.

I thought Chipgrin and the DiggerMattocks were having meetings, and the party was deliberately excluded. In which case, there is nothing we can do about the Pudding King until they arrive at a decision, in a "day or so".
Sounds like we'll have time to finish the side-quest, that we already started anyways. If we are lucky, maybe finishing this successfully will give us more help for the PK quest.

I’m glad Rodolfo spoke up, so we got that second version of what Nomi wanted, where she finally remembered to use the word “corrupted”.
From that first version, I thought she wanted *un*corrupted elemental remains, since she said “any elemental”. (That would let Nomi test what kind of magic keeps those pieces from becoming corrupted.)

So about the map in the in-game thread (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/play-by-post/27393-official-thread-out-of-the-abyss-by-kerrec?comment=3720) - we've kind of cleared most of the shown area. The one exception is area 21 that has a bunch of petrified drow that seemed to activate like 6 at the time and come at us. We killed the first batch and then left. They didn't follow and I believe were still there when Beegred checked later. We haven't explored towards the north and there might have been something special about area 18 as well, but I'm not sure.
I'm inclined to just walk through the place once to check that everything is as we left it. And then I'm torn between trying to clear all of the drow first or explore first. Since we have a single day then we probably won't be able to do both.
I'd say explore first. There were a lot of statues, so that would be a grind. (Although, it would go faster now that Skameros has 2 attacks after leveling up.)
Maybe we'll get lucky, and come across a corrupted earth elemental on our way to the north!

Can we tell if an elemental has been corrupted, other than by it’s hostility? Something visual, or magically detectable?
we know of the alcove which probably has gargoyles. Gargs are elementals. The question is, have they been corrupted, or are they just naturally evil?

Are you asking me, or discussing among yourselves?
And here's a freebie... You have seen the 'dust' possess elementals and petrified creatures by 'entering' into them. When you've defeated those creatures, the dust spilled out.
There's a market. Charcoal, incense, herbs and ink can be found for the prices listed in the PHB. The gem is worth it's value in gp.

I don’t think I have any money, nor do I think these gnomes would be inclined to do business with me. So I’m just happy to plod along

Sounds like a distracting side quest from the Pudding King that I'm not sure we can afford to do?
