(OoC: The 'shrooms VF3 and VF4 get their attacks next, but I'll post Beegred's next action anyways.)
Beegred holds his ground, continues to Dodge, trying to make it safer for the others to get off the bridge by keeping the mushrooms occupied.
He calls out to Skameros: "That is some deep philosophy, Skameros. You are yelling at Eldeth to move faster, but she can do that by moving normally instead of rushing & tripping over her own feet. That is satire... wait, that's not it... a paradox? Ironic?"

Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
And so on. Without any threat forcing the party to rush, the party figures out how to cross the bridge and get past the mushroom pillars without risking further injury.
Beegred is reluctant to cut down a perfectly good bridge. Especially if they need to use it later (if this path dead-ends). On the other hand...
"What do you all think? Leave this mushroom bridge intact for other travelers? Or should we cut down the mushroom supports, so anyone tailing us has problems."

Rodolfo says, "Not everyone here is evil, might be someone else will happen here while being pursued and then they would be very much out of luck if there were no bridge. Lets leave it and continue on the road."
After moving on from the bridge, the party continues to move towards Blingdenstone. Once exhaustion sets in, camp is made, watches are set and everyone rests.
Halfway through the night, while Narstin is awake for his watch, he hears the distinct sounds of a couple of creatures sneaking around nearby.
Edit: No response from Narstin, so retconing to keep things moving. See next post.
Not long after settling down to rest, during the first shift, Eldeth and Skameros can hear (but not see) a creature moving about not far from the group, in the large cavern they find themselves in.
Both of us have darkvision and we still don't see anything out there? Eldeth will draw her bow and aim in the direction of the noise and Skameros will pick up his greataxe and go see if he can find whatever it is.
The idea is that Eldeth should be able to watch Skameros and if something attacks him she'll be able to wake the others

Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...
(Just checked... Skameros speaks Common? You're going to have to explain that! You can change that to some Underdark language if knowing Common is not plausible in your backstory. In which case, Skameros would understand the third language instead. See below.)
As Skameros walks into the dimly lit cavern, a voice whispers out in two languages, the first unknown, the second in common, "A friend of Gauntlgrym be stopping and be listening! We be no threat. If you be not a friend of Gauntlgrym, and be continuing to approach, we be defending us and our mission!". Then the voice continues to speak, switching to undercommon, repeating the same message.
The voice immediately shoots back, maybe a touch louder, "I be sounding like a dwarf because I BE a dwarf! Maybe you be not used to proper Gauntlgrym Dwarvish. Now who be you?"
(Hehehe - since he doesn't speak Dwarvish I figured he wouldn't really know what a Dwarf sounds like anyway)
He puffs up a bit "I be Skameros, and I be crushing your tiny skulls if you sneaky dark dwarves trying to trick Skameros...." as he squints in the darkness trying to find the source of the voice "I protect the small folk while they try to get to sky above ground - why you hiding?"
Skameros feels all tingly for some reason and then scowls at clumsy Eldeth holding up the line across the bridge.
"Move faster!" he shouts as he continues to wave his arms at the mushrooms and take the dodge action again.

Beegred continues to hold his ground and 'distract' the mushrooms.
(Eldeth and Rodolfo are next)
Eldeth will attempt to leave the bridge and get past Beegred out of the mushrooms reach - allowing the others to finish crossing
Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...
Eldeth approaches the mushrooms, disengages and finishes her movement past Beegred, clearing the bridge.
Rodolfo does the same - move, disengage and if necessary then bonus action dash when already across the bridge.
And so on. Without any threat forcing the party to rush, the party figures out how to cross the bridge and get past the mushroom pillars without risking further injury.
Once past the bridge, what do you do?

Would Skameros know who or what a Gauntlygrym is (Argent does)
[History: 2]
Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...
Skameros knows enough about the big underdark cities and what races live there.
"Gauntlgrym is Dwrarf land, and you no sound like Dwarf.....who are you?" Skameros replies in Undercommon.

Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...
"We be hiding to be living long lives."
Another new voice, from a slightly different direction, speaks up, "What do you be meaning 'get the small folk to the sky above ground'?"
From behind, you hear Eldeth whispering as loud as needed to carry to Skameros, "What be you talking to? Where be it?"
