As Lawrance begins walking off, Perry shouts after him, "Wait wait, hold on, that's not what I meant! If you do have a way to make her a better outfit, then of course we should do it as soon as possible! I can assist in its manufacture, make sure it's up to code. We can have her there as well to choose the colors and design. It will be wonderful! I was just making a temporary measure, that's all."
Perry then turns to Sinternal, "Does that sound good to you, Sinternal? By the way, what would you like to do while we go out on this mission? Would you like to come with us or stay here?"
Lawrance pauses and turns back to Perry. "I do, but I have no skill at proper styles and such, so I most assuredly need your help. I like the idea of making our guests welcome, and if my magics can be tasked to that, the more the better. I don't know what this code is you mention. Is there a tailor's guild book of requirements we'd need to follow? You'll have to give me the specifics. We should design it as detailed as possible, because once the spell is started, I need to have the images clear in my mind to produce the results she'll like."

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Perry places his hand on Lawrance's shoulder, "Do not worry about the code, my friend. There is no book that could teach such a thing. No, one must feel this code. It's art you see, there are no formulas here. We shall create something especially grand and wondrous for our young dragon friend! A fabric that shall stand the test of time, and become famous throughout all the realms!"
Perry nods emphatically, as if he has just now convinced himself that this will be truly great.
The enthusiasm displayed by the Bard unnerves him as he answers back “Uhh, I don’t think my use of the spell is going to create anything THAT magnificent. It’ll still be hides made into clothes. Making magic clothes would need a lot more effort than my little spell. Like we’d have to get dryads blood or otyugh tears or something to make it special. It’s just clothes, Perry. Basic clothes. “ looking askance worriedly at the Teifling, Lawrances wonders just how much time he’s going to have to now commit to this, with Perrys drive behind it.

Morgaine will follow the rest of the group back to the castle and once there will go to her room for a bit then go and work with her weapons to see how well she can move in the new clothing for the cold. She will also spend time with Poljen as she can. She hopes he will spare with you a bit to keep them both in shape.
Velon smiles and chuckles a bit as the unlikely duo of wizard and bard discuss fashion vs formulas. He looks in their direction and shouts "don't forget, she'll be twice as big by next week!"
After they depart form their meeting with OWD and after their talk about Lia agreeing to dance for dragons, Velon finds her again. "Hey, I wanted to tell you but Old White Death had to show up earlier. As you know, ever since I visited the temple of Bahamut I've been having more vivid dreams of dragons and the like. Well, lately I feel like I'm a dragon in them, and am experiencing events from their history or something of the sort. I swear the last two nights Bahamut himself has spoken to me. I see a visage of him beckoning me towards him, and he seems to be offering me something. It's confusing. I think he's offering a change. He's offering what I've told him I want. His words are in draconic and make sense in the moment but then my mind is overwhelmed. It is as if he was a parent speaking to a newborn child. Lia, I have yet to reach him in the dream but I think I can get there, and that I should accept. I don't know what will happen to me, but I'm sure it will be a good thing overall. Perhaps not to you though. You most of all would notice even small changes, and I don't want to be a stranger to you in any way. I do see other visions in my dreams though, Lia. I see you looking a bit older, and I think our children as adult half-elves, and I'm still there with you. I'm pretty sure, at least. What do you think? Should we risk it?" He holds her hands gently as he asks this last question and looks into her eyes.
She reels inside from his words. It is terrifying that she might lose him now. Lia is lost in thought as she looks into his eyes. " Velon.....There is risk involved any time the unknown is involved. This is who you are meant to be. It's the core of you. Bahamat has big plans for you I'm sure. You cannot escape that. "
She pauses again to gather her thoughts. " I want you to do this. The vision of us having children together comforts me. I won't deny your destiny. I pray that Sune and Bahamat will look with favor on us in this. " She smiles at him and hides the shadow of fear within her.
As she is alone later, her mask disappears. She looks into her mirror and tears run down her cheeks. " Please let this work out for us. I cannot bear the thought of losing him. " She sobs quietly as worry consumes her.
Sinternal brightens up as Perry helps her with the blanket. Its a partial success, it now lies over her body without trapping her wings, but her experimental flapping shows it still makes their motion awkward enough to interfere with flight.
She looks increasingly uncertain as the bard and wizard bicker a bit over clothing, and doesn't seem sure of herself when answering Lawrence's questions. "I don't know, Papa... papa had a spell for when it got real cold, but I don't know how to do that yet. I thought I would try a second hide like you people use, but its harder than it looks, how do you make these things fit? My legs and belly are still cold."
When Perry asks about her joining in she looks up, "Can I? I heard you got to meet with an ancient one today! What are you doing now? I want to fly somewhere."

The castle makes its way north and east, easily passing over the iceberg clogged sea below. It takes only a few hours to reach the area, and then another searching along the coast to find the rock formation mentioned. By this point, it is well past dark, the sun having set early as it does this far north. If there's a tribal village down there, you certainly can't see it in this gloom. Captain Callahan is ready to take the castle down if you wish, but he suggests waiting for dawn instead.
Holding Lia close, Velon says "I have faith that we will be happier for it in the end. I just don't ever want to have to make such choices without you. Plus, it's your loss if I change even a little. Have you seen this face? Sune herself would be so luck as you!" Velon rubs his chin a bit, turning his head side to side and seems to be mockingly admiring his own profile. Setting aside any joking he looks at her again and adds "you know, in my dream, with our children, I couldn't really focus on them, but you looked more beautiful than ever."
"I suppose we wait out the night then? Captain I trust your early morning shift will be watching intently for signs of the village. Hopefully we can spot it early in the day."
Velon asks the team "any guesses as to what we might face below this frozen land?"
As Perry and Lawrance are interrupted by the young bronze, he turns to her and listens carefully to her feedback. He rubs his chin as he says, "Hmm, hmm, I see. The legs and belly are still exposed. Lawrance, could you perhaps make any shape of fabric? Perhaps we could shape it to match her general form and to cover her underbelly and legs. It could be like a giant warm bodysuit, good for lounging around in cold weather. Hmm, what could we call something such as this? The idea could be revolutionary..."
Then, a light goes off in the bard's head, "Let's call it: The Onesie! Brilliant! Lawrance, we need to begin work on this as soon as you are able!"
Once Sinternal asks about tagging along, Perry replies, "We're going to investigate a draconic burglary tomorrow morning. And ah well, listen dear...I'm, uh, I mean, it might be dangerous down there. We might have to fight really bad things and we promised to keep you safe is all. Now that's not a 'No' exactly, but if you do have to defend yourself, then we all need to be sure you can. How about you show me a little bit of what you can do? If I recall my dragon knowledge correctly, you have a lightning breath attack correct? Show it to me."
At Velon's fallacious statement about her size changing quickly, he smirks, knowing the goad struck Perry firmly.
"Sinternal, we humanoids cut and sew the clothing to match our bodies and our movements, and we can do the same for you, I'm sure. Between Perry's unparalleled fashion sense and my magic, the next day we have free will be one where you'll be at least a little bit warmer by it's end! Once we've come back from our excursion, " He says to Perry " we'll get this done and can call ourselves dragon gear tailors, I hope. Maybe it'll be a side industry to support of our flying home?"
When Perry broaches the topic of seeing her skills, Lawrance brings several defensive spells to mind, just in case something goes awry.

Cratol ponders the question that Velon puts out. "I would think that we will be running into things that call the cold home. Fire based attacks should cause them a lot of greif but then again they may expect that and be prepared for that so I would go with an alternate plan too. I would not be surprised that along with the cold this will not be a easy task for us at all."
Poljen shrugs at Velon's question. "If we do not have to fight the ice toads, that will be a good start. But after that, I agree with Cratol. Many things will not be bothered by cold. Maybe. I think. Uh, I don't really know. But it sounds right." He frowns. "I guess we should just wing it as best we can, the way we usually do." His smile brightens. "It usually works out in the end, for the most part."
He then agrees to 'spar' with Morgaine, both with weapons in the courtyard, then for some grappling in private.
"And what about you, wizard. You're a bit of a historian. Know anything about the monsters that may live here? What about any ancient places, cities, fortresses, whatever that might be buried under the ice here?"
Lia shakes her head at Velon's query. " I'm not sure what we will face here. We just need to work together and we will overcome as always though. I would recommend using fire though. "
Mari stays away from the others for the most part. She pushes herself tirelessly trying to master the art of the blade. The rogue also practices scaling the walls of the courtyard. She notices that she is growing more fit by the day.
Thinking a bit, Lawrance mulls through the lists of creatures he knows that might reside in such a cold land. "Let's see... There's Linnorms, Yeti, Remorhaz, Frost Giants, Hags, Frost Salamanders, Ice Trolls, and obviously Ice Toads as well as other, less dangerous creatures. Not to mention that there could be undead wandering around. As far as historical events or places, the only one ever mentioned is Old White Death. He's been here for so many centuries that other events and places of note have been lost to time. Of these creatures, the more likely for us to encounter are Linnorms, Yeti and Trolls. Arctic Linnorms are barbaric dragon types that are known for their voracious appetite and incredible strength. Not a spell caster type like the regular chromatics and metallics, but still formidable. Yeti are giant beasts that breathe cold like a dragon. Strong and tough, they are usually in groups. Ice Trolls are actually smarter than regular Trolls and usually wear armour and can use weapons. Some speculate Ice Trolls are a wizard experiment let loose, but I don't know. "

"Excellent. As much as I hate to admit it, wizard, that was pretty impressive. Is fire the weapon of choice here, as others have suggested? Any other weaknesses? Knowledge is power, I always say." Velon winks at Perry, Lia, Poljen or whoever else is closest, as he absolutely never, ever says that.
"Fire here, in general, is probably going to be the best weapon. Everything here is immune or resistant to the cold, but some are more harmed by fire than others."

Sinturnal says, "Okay, but I'm not very good with it yet." She squints, breathes in hard, raises her head, and opens her mouth. A fair sized stream of lightning goes skyward, perhaps a dozen feet in length. Its not very well contained though, sparks jump in all directions, and one stray thread touches Perry, shocking him. "Sorry"
The Blaze settles in for the night, sometime in the early hours of the morning, Lia is awakened by a bright light and a humming noise in the room with her. By the time she can discern details around her, she finds a large golden egg sitting on the floor of her room, it is a yard and a half long, and quite warm to the touch. There is no sign of Velon.
