(@ Jinara and Gaelin- either of those would work to mitigate the arid climate. I would even go as far to say you could use control weather to give yourself a boost of speed with a tailwind. )
Jinara- if you choose to use Control weather and create a tailwind:
(correct. Your current travel pace is 85 miles in 8 hours at fast travel speed. You could increase that to 89,93,101,111 miles in 8 hours depending on the wind)
(@ Jinara- are you casting Control Weather for this day's travel? @Gaelin- yes, tiny hut would work to remove the strength check. )
(@Everyone- are you continuing to fly and if so how many hours of additional travel? Valeera will have advantage on Con saves for the first two additional hours, then a straight roll for the following 3 hours, then disadvantage.)
"Hell yes. This heat is terrible. I think I might also have a workaround for that." Gaelin replies and will cast Greater Restoration on anyone that needs it until he only has a 7th level slot left.
( I say we go two more hours then rest. We can haul ass tomorrow between Jinara and I. I got lodging for us covered for anytime we travel now.)
"Whatever gives us the best chance of getting there quickly without turning into a mummy." Aryn chimes in with a bit of cottonmouth until her brother helps her.
You continue for an additional two hours passing over the fork in the river while looking for an adequate landing area. Mucor spots a meadow next to the river and you glide down to the ground. You step off Valeera's back and stretch your muscles tired from the long journey. The air is hot and humid as a rainforest-esque jungle surrounds the meadow. The sun sits low on the horizon signifying the nearing end of the day and looking at the map Mucor guestimates you travelled around 100 miles in 10 hours. While you stretch Gaelin wanders a short ways away from the group and begins casting. As you finish stretching and begin to setup camp and scope out the area you see a glimmer of light in front of Gaelin. The glimmer flashes and a glowing 5x10 portal appears on the ground.
(I'll let Gaelin coerce you into the portal however he wants.)
Beyond the portal: (Credit to Gaelin for the layout and furnishings)
You enter into the portal and immediately feel a difference in the humidity as you enter into an ethereal marble foyer. On the right and left side of the foyer sit continuously swirling staircases. The right staircase spins clockwise causing the stairs to slowly rise up into the next floor while the left staircase spins counterclockwise lowering the stairs into the floor where they vanish out of existence. In front of you a short hallway leads to a huge dining table where ethereal tiny dragons hover and perch. You watch as some of them fly in through small holes in top of the wall carrying bottles of wine, casks of ale and dinnerware.
Gaelin continues to guide you leading you to the door on the right side of the dining hall. You enter into a large pool where you see a pack of dragons breathing fire into a large fire pit beneath the pool heating it to a comfortable level. There are 6 doors in the bathhouse that each lead to a small room where 4 tiny dragons perch on a massage table. You exit the bathhouse and return to the dining hall and follow Gaelin through the door on the left side of the dining hall. You enter into a large room where armor, weapons and various training and sparring equipment sit waiting to be used. Gaelin turns around and leads you back to the foyer and you step onto the swirling escalator stairs and head up to the 2nd level.
2nd Floor: You exit onto a platform that extends out to a short hallway with four doors.
Torq's room: Gaelin points to the first on the left and opens the door revealing a large open room that appears to be made around a large tree. Branches extend out in all directions and you see a few hanging pods made of wood, leaves and twine. There is a earthy aroma with a hint of pine. The room is slightly cooler than the comfortable hallway and you can hear the sounds of nature coming from within the room.
Jinara's room: Gaelin points to the first door on the right and opens it revealing a similar sized room that contains an obsidian desk, ornately carved wooden chair with cushioned dragon heads on the arm rest. Lining the far right corner is a bookshelf packed full of various books. On the left side a large bed with an end table and glowing bronze dragon lamp that emits a dim light.
Guest rooms: A bit further down from Torq and Jinara's rooms are two additional doors on the left and right. Each opens into the same 20x20ft size room with a large king sized bed, armor and weapon rack and small desk with a comfy chair.
3rd Floor: Gaelin lead you back to the stair platform and you ride the magical escalator stairs up to the third floor where you see an identical platform with a four door hallway.
Mucor's room: Gaelin opens the door on the right revealing a large tree trunk with an opening in the front. You peek into the hollow trunk and see thick walls that have hollowed out nooks for clothes, weapons and a chest to store things. Sitting in the floor of the hollow trunk is a large bed. The air is thick with humidity and has a partial swampy smell to it.
Aryn's room: Turning to the door on the left the door opens to reveal a large bed lifted above the ground with a small ladder rising up to it. Below the bed is what appears to be a tree trunk but opens to reveal an ornately carved armoire with space for armor and weapons as well as a small locked compartment. On the opposite side of the room sits a small desk and chair as well as a perch for Sansa.
Gaelin's room: Continuing down the short hallway Gaelin opens the door on the right and reveals a simple open room with a giant round bed centered in the room. In the far right corner sits a small armoire and in the far left corner sits a angled desk and chair.
Valeera's room: Gaelin opens the door on the left and reveals a large hot room with a stone floor. The walls glimmer with gemstones and swirling molten metals.
As soon as you enter into the portal Gaelin will say, “I’ve been working on this for a little while now but now I’m finally happy with it. This is kind of like the bubble but just a lot bigger and better. These stairs will take you up to your rooms, which we’ll see in a few minutes. This is the dining hall where these dragons can prepare anything you want to eat. On the right side we have a large boathouse and massage rooms. Don’t worry the dragon’s are a lot better at massages than you think. To the left of the dining hall is a place for us to train and practice if we feel the want or need.” Gaelin will pause for any questions then head back to the stairs to show off the rooms.
“I tried to design each of your rooms how I thought you might like it. The walls and ceiling can change their appearance so you can feel like your in a forest, on the ocean or high on a mountain. When you go into your room all you have to do is say the location you’d like as a background.” Gaelin stomach rumbles while showing off the last room and turns back to the group channeling his best John Hammond from Jurassic park, “ Now who’s hungry?”
“Not bad baby brother. Not bad. How long does this last?” Can anyone else get in while we sleep?” Aryn asks impressed by her brother’s work. “Turns out you are useful.”
“It lasts 24 hours and only people I designate can come in. The portal we came through can be turned invisible whenever I close the portal. So if you decide to sneak out let me know so you don’t get stuck outside. Oh yea you can’t take anything from inside outside. Even the weapons that are here. Whatever you brought in is all you can take out. Otherwise it turns to ash. ” Gaelin responds.
Torq's feathers would ruffle and quiver a little at the sight o his room. He was moved by the generosity and thoughtfulness of Gaelin's attention to detail. "Mine is perfect. Thank you Gaelin." is all he manages to say.

Jinara- if you choose to use Control weather and create a tailwind:
(So that percentage would be time saved in travel?)
(correct. Your current travel pace is 85 miles in 8 hours at fast travel speed. You could increase that to 89,93,101,111 miles in 8 hours depending on the wind)
(Would Tiny Hut prevent the need for the strength check?)

If Mucor knew that Gaelin was going to manipulate the weather... could I cast [spell]Enhance Ability[\spell] to try to help in any way?
Welp, it is official... I have been so distracted with work and life that I no longer remember how to link spells :(
(@Mucor- I think you used the wrong slash. Try the question mark one.)
Enhance Ability
(Already telling you what to do. Y'all are practically married now. lol)
(I almost spit out my drink when I read that.)
ooc: lol, pretty much. It is a slippery slope to marriage.

(@Torq- truth)
"Should I provide us advantageous weather for tomorrow's travel?" Jinara asks the group
"Hell yes. This heat is terrible. I think I might also have a workaround for that." Gaelin replies and will cast Greater Restoration on anyone that needs it until he only has a 7th level slot left.

"Deal. Also, I am fine. the heat didn't get to me. Benefits of the dragon in me I guess" Jinara says.
"Whatever gives us the best chance of getting there quickly without turning into a mummy." Aryn chimes in with a bit of cottonmouth until her brother helps her.
