Parsnips Brightgarden, an elderly true gnome can be found in her unusually large office adjacent to the Rose Palace library. She is the keeper of lore in the Rose Palace and in the Hedgegrove. She comes highly recommended from every servant, guard, or Princess Dandelion you may ask.

Nope, Kat was reading his cook book when Bree left - and now he's gone wandering off looking for the Princesses kitchen
The kitchen itself is on the top floor of the palace, and it is gargantuan! You've never seen such a kitchen before. All the cooks and bakers are hard at work preparing their daily feast for Princess Dandelion and her hall. A large portly man, with a wooden serving spoon, sees Kat walk in and says, "Where's your apron, boy! And you're late! So very late, I will dock your pay for this!"
He pulls out a piece of parchment and looks over it, then over Kat, then back to the parchment. "What's your name again?"

"Hi, I'm Kat!" and he'll extend his hand out to the large portly man "you must be the head chef because you're so fat, mamma always said never trust a skinny cook..have you heard of this guy?" and he'll show the man his cookbook "Ooooh is this a Evermoor cleaver? its so fancy. And are these pots from Waterdeep? I thought I recognized their construction. Wow you have a lot of people in here....are they aware they are doing it all wrong? This kitchen is a disaster.....oh well good thing I got here in the nick of time...." and he'll press his cookbook in to the mans hands "here hold this......you there, boy....that's not how you make a proper Crème anglaise.....and you there......your knife skills are horrible......look at these....meat should be cut to uniform sizes so they cook evenly and are easy to eat. Also remember a tile becomes a slice, and a slice becomes a dice.... that is how you properly cut vegetables....." and he'll show proper dicing skills with the cooks knife...and then move on around the kitchen pointing out other flaws in their techniques, taste testing items, and complaining about their lack of seasoning.

"This is impossible, the Lost Knowledge of Pierre' Pierre' Escargot! Where did you get this, marchon?" He'll say as he runs up to Kat in the middle of his chopping.
