Siobhan nods and pays the woman the money that she owned the tabaxi, doubting that she would be back in order to start any tyoe of tab. Part of her almost considers putting it on her father's tab as she had no doubt one of his many merchant ship crews were regulars to the bar. Once she gets her drink she will slowly sip at it.
Dolar comes up, grabs his tankard, and immediately gets to business. "Excuse us barkeep -- we are in search of a man named Floon who may have passed through here. Have you seen him about?"
Phineas Investigation8 to locate the Skrewed Dragon...
@Oddlot What is Phineas up to since she departed from the rest of the group. She'd been heading for the skewered dragon, you can go ahead and make an investigation check to find it. OOC: Alright, the roll made will play by ear based on results, etc. sorry for the delay... was a holiday thing but back and ready to go again. Ty...
Phineas: You head down Fillet Lane ahead of the rest of the crew having wandered off, but instead of turning right into the alley with the Skewered Dragon you end up turning left up Zastrow Street and into the maze of buildings that make up Pearly Alley. After looking around for any signs of a tavern you do eventually find one amid the closed up shops and warehouses only this one is called the Sailor's Sink. It seems to be somewhat of a lively place, at least all its windows are intact and nothing seems to have crashed into its roof. Inside people drink raucously and you can even hear a sea shanty or two from inside. (Edit, because I totally blanked on this fact) On your way up Zastrow Street, you would also pass a shop with a stuffed beholder in the window entitled "Ol' Xoblob Shop". A candle still burns inside giving off a faintly purple glow.
Dolar:The barkeep's tail whips about at the question and she hums, making almost a purring noise. "Floon, hmmmmm? Sounds familiar." She quirks a brow with an expectant look.

"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
Siobhan wants to face palm as her being a member of the watch is brought up once again, not sure what she can do to help in this matter since this is out of where she would normally work. Thst and they would likely be getting a lot more attention thanks to the yoing half orc. With little else to do she clears her throat, moving to speak quietly. "Please forgive the foolishness of my subordinate. We had planned to keep this matter out of the public eye as Floon is very dangerous and is believed to be implicated in the murder of someone close to one of the noble families. Or at least that is what I have been told of him. The last sighting of him was either in or around your bar."
Roger's had plenty of experience blending in at the Skewered Dragon and similar venues, and he knows that if you hang out in a group, you look like trouble. He doesn't stick close to the others, as Siobhansuggested, but lingers down the bar from them. If the barkeep looks his way, he'll signal for a drink, but he's also listening for any conversation that might have been inspired if a patron overheard the name Floon, and keeping an eye out for anyone who's showing an interest in the chat his friends are having.
Roger: Most the patrons in the bar seem to be keeping half an eye out on the lot of you. Especially at the mention of Watchperson. You saw at least one person down the rest of their drink and get up and leave after that. There are a few humans and a half-elf at the table nearest to the bar keeping a close ear on this conversation, and when they hear Floon's name they glance amongst themselves, one mouthing something indiscernible to the others.
"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
On your way up Zastrow Street, you would also pass a shop with a stuffed beholder in the window entitled "Ol' Xoblob Shop". A candle still burns inside giving off a faintly purple glow.
Phineas peeks inside the shop window and turns to Mallory, "yeah... you're right... it doesn't look like much fun does it but what the hell I' bored and it looks like a kind joint that sells pixie dust!" The jester giggles and opens the door and walks inside, her brass bells jingling with every step... as she swaggers about, her eyes darting here and there as she looks around still chit chatting with Mallory, "so what are you going to do with your share of the reward once we find Floon the Loon, how hard could it be after all to find one poor sod in this city?"
Sylelor: It doesn't take much to notice in a similar vein as Roger that people have half an eye on the odd group you are. You especially note that the table closest to the bar seems to be paying attention, though you're not quite sure why it is. Whether they are interested in your group, or what your group has to say.
Dolar and Siobhan: The barkeep laughs, loud and pounding the bar with her fist doubled over. It takes a moment before she stops, wiping tears from the corner of her eyes, one of which has a nasty scar. "Floon, a dangerous murderer." She chuckles again. "Unless he offed the poncy Neverember heir when he left the other night I just don't see it. Floon's none too bright, you see. Give you those fancy schmancy posh clothes right off his back if you told him you was freezing. Even if you was clearly wearing layers."
"Listen, if you're doing some, uh, official investigatin' officers" She says this with a pointed look at Dolar, "I'm gonna have to see some badges, and then I'll give a official statement and all that. Otherwise, drink or piss off."
Phineas: It seems that this shop seems to favor a purple theme. The walls are painted purple, the windows lined with purple curtains, and the array of trinkets on the shelves all seemed to be dyed different shades of purple. Behind the counter is an old, hairless gnome in - you guessed it - deep purple robes. He seems to be dozing off, but when he hears the bells of the door and Phinea's outfit jingle he sits straight up.
"Yes, yes, I saw you coming, my dear. Old Xoblob knows these things. What do you find yourself curious for today my jingly jangly friend?" You can see that he has nine eyes painted across his face.
"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
Phineasstares at the hairless old gnome and licks her lips, "oh my if you are not just a regular cutie-pie... I could eat you all up I could... no doubt a handsome fellow like you has a lot of female admirers,"she coos as she gives him a sly seductive wink running fingers lightly over his bald head then turns her attention back to the shop itself her eyes wide with wonder. "What do you have in the way of purple lute strings?"The jester pulls around her lute that had been slung over her shoulder across her back. She smiles with pride showing off her rather old and well-worn lute that has seen better days... then scratches her head, "and by chance do you happen to have any pixie dust in stock, purely inspirational you know?"
Slowly moving about looking over the shelves of trinkets, jingling the jestermakes her way closer to the gnome extending a hand in greeting, "I'm Phineas Fop by the way, pleased to meet you! Me and my friend Mallory here." points to an empty spot beside her and brings her finger up to her mouth in a shhh gesture, "he's with the T.F.F. you know official business but keep that under your hat so just act like he is not even there and be cool, he spooks easy. We've lost our dwarves, our wizards, and our way... not to mention our Floon! He has not been lately, has he? Floon recommended your shop most highly and said if I never needed to find him that you would be the chap to ask, so have seen him or know where he can be found? Help a poor girl out... pretty please," she coos.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
DOLAR
Dolar leans back and finishes his tankard. "Badge? Did you not hear what I said, barkeep? I am a TRAINEE! They ain't give me no badge yet. I follow her lead," he says, pointing at Siobhan, "and the Captain's."
Dolar then gets up off his barstool before she can respond, turning around to see if any of the patrons have been staring unusually. Perception: 2
(OOC: asfhaihtfasfjf my rolls have been absolute sh*t since after Christmas!)
Siobhan sighs internally as she reaches under her armor, flashing her badge to the tabaxi as she moves closer and gives her a pointed stare right back. "We do not have time for this. Floon needs to be found and our last lead is this bar. Now we are merely here to do a quick and quiet search so that we do not cause an uproar. If things do not go well more searches with less interest in keeping things mostly quiet will be next."
Skewered Dragon: It isn't hard to see that you've caught the attention of a few of the bar patrons as a rather odd crowd, Dolar.
The barkeep regards Siobhanwith a rather dour look at the shift in attitude, but leans over, resting her elbow on the bar. "Look Watch lady, not much I can tell ya about Floon. Mostly he's an idiot. He was here the other night with some big shots, bragging about some money he'd come into. Left with one of them later on. Now unless he murdered the guys who followed him out, which I highly doubt, that's all I know."
Ol' Xoblob Shop: The gnome studies the lute with interest, pulling a pair of spectacles covering painted eyes on his forehead over his actual eyes. " 'fraid I don't have any lute strings on me, but I could, uh, polish that up for yeah. Give it a nice, new royal varnish?"
He then ducks wholly under his counter, searching for something on the shelves beneath it. "Can't say I know what a Floon is, but they're right to recommend my shop. They think I know where to find them huh. Hmmm."He pop back up, rubbing his chin, the specs back to covering the eyes on his forehead. "Refresh my memory mayhaps, it is ever a long one. I do have eyes everywhere after all."He laughs as if this is the funniest thing he's said in tendays. In his hands is a vial of some sort of purple powder.
