As Grimm's torchlight begins to illuminate the area, giving Irena the much needed illumination, she spots three wolves chained to a nearby stalagmite growling and snapping at her! They growl vicious, pulling the chain taunt as they try to reach her; however, as she tosses them the dried meat the wild animals suddenly seem much less aggressive and even calm under her nurturing, gentle approach. With their attention drawn elsewhere, the wolves move over to a corner together and each begin gnawing on their snack, ignoring Irena completely and giving her access to the room small room... The cave narrows to a steep, rubble-strewn fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals.
"It seems that this is just where they keep they're hunting wolves," whispers Grimm, "although we could try to clear the rubble blocking up that fissure - see if it leads anywhere."
// I'm assuming the fissure is in the wall and that there's rubble blocking it up, please let me know if I misinterpreted it. //
It's more that the rubble is spilling onto the ground out from the opening. Here's a little better description.
A narrow opening in the east wall leads to a natural chimney that climbs up. At the base of the fissure is rubbish that’s been discarded through the opening above. The fissure looks narrow and sturdy enough for someone to climb up.
"Maybe someone who can do so quietly? I would be worried it leads up to wherever that light was coming from--might be something we want to scope out before we enter."
Puck extends his claws.
"I can actually climb pretty good with these little guys. I could scamper on up quietly, take a peek, and come back and report. Might lead to a good opportunity to enter from multiple sides?"
Puck looks to the rest of the party for their thoughts.
"Well if I do, you'll just have to catch me, Grimm."
Puck tosses the Half-Orc a friendly wink, steps gingerly past the wolves, and begins to slowly and quietly ascend the chimney using his claws, with the intent to simply peek into the room the chimney connects to.
//Puck's Tabaxi feature "Cats Claws" means he has a 20ft climb speed, but he will ascend slowly and stealthily.//
Puck finds the fissure fairly easy for him to climb with his claws gripping to the rock chimney, his soft paws and the sounds of the natural stream masking any signs of his movement. Occasionally his fur does get stuck into something sticky and foul smelling, but the threat of force pushes such minor concerns away as the tabaxi quickly makes his way up the 30' stone chimney until finally he pokes his head up through the top into another cavern, hidden partially by the two stalagmites, but the room appears to be roughly 40' across by 30' deep with 30' high ceiling. Nearby a smoldering fire distracts two goblin guards, that sit around dying flames muttering to each other. On the far side of the room, seated on a rough and filthy mat is a large, muscular bugbear feasting on some sort of meat on a bone, he toss a a piece of it to a nearby wolf that is slavering near his feet. None of the creatures appear the notice Puck's head poking up through the hole.
Puck scans the room for every and any relevant detail, and trying to get a sense for the room's geography in relation to the rest of the cave system, to see if he can deduce whether this room connects to the main tunnel past the bridge.

He then scampers quietly back down the chimney.
"Big room up there--probably 30' across at least; maybe 40; and another 30' high. Couldn't see everything--the hole I popped out of was blocked by some big rock formations, which might mean we could sneak through fairly easily without being seen. But I spotted two goblins in there, another wolf, and a bugbear. We're looking for a bugbear, right? Maybe this is him."
Puck scratches the fur on his chin; his ears quiver a bit involuntarily.
"Now what I'm tryin' to figure out is whether this room up here connects to the main tunnel with the bridge. If so, we may be able to stage a bit of an ambush, with the sneakier of us climbing up through this hole and hiding behind the rocks, and the rest entering through he front door and trying their best to work this out first with words. That way, if things go south, they wont know our numbers and we can take them a bit by surprise, attacking from both sides."
Puck continues to think to himself, working through the information he gleaned from the room above, what he was able to see, and what he was able to deduce.
“That might well be ‘Klarg,’ the boss that Urag mentioned. If we can take him down, we might be able to avoid further fighting and bloodshed. What do you all think?” Zanigur checks his rapier.
Grimm spins the mace in her hand, "We all go up, quiet ones first. If we kill the leader - we break the tribe."
She stays quiet for a moment before continuing, "Although disrespectful, if we take his head, we could likely move freely through this cavern. Worst case, it will fall into chaos through an internal power struggle. Either way, I say we take the head of the snake."
“Puck, you got the lay of the land best, so I’ll follow your lead,” says Zanigur. “If you like, I’ll take Grimm and Kara with me and try the front door idea so that you and Irena can set up the ambush.”
Irena tries to quiet down the growling animal, shushing it reassuringly while tossing a bit of dried meat from her rations.
