Lafetha slowly moves closer to the Elder and the Chief, keeping her distance Insight11 to see if I can tell what they are talking about and what their intentions are/any changes in their mannerisms are.
Lafetha, as you draw a bit closer you see the Elder make a small hand gesture to you. While both he and the chief are difficult to read, you get the hint he's saying no to approach close to them. The Elder leads the Chief away from view after awhile, before they split and go back to their respective tents.
Sim, the organized chaos erupts around you as Diadochi takes several minutes to clash and teach, shout, yell, but overall put on a solid game of living chess. While watching, you don't really see anyone of note coming or going. A few tribes people working with kids, some heading down in the cellars and back up. Others making rope or spears. A tribe that hasn't yet set out for a large hunt, but you would assume one would be happening sooner than later with the warming weather.
Diadochi, you do your best during the game. Most of the Hn'ti seem to 'get it' at different points. Others appear to get frustrated and either walk off, only to be scolded by others, or want to turn it into a general wrestling match without the rules. Still, the people seem to have fun. A few giving you a pat on your shoulder and back after the game.
Yaalin, you walk back and see the game. Your eyes trying to see if any magical auras can be gleamed. Even as you wander through the town, you only see the Elder's tent radiating any form of magic. A faint aura of necromancy coming from it. It isn't powerful, but it's magical energy wafts from the building. Best guess is the same spell that caused your own fear when you walked in.
Abigail, you take a minute to hide and watch. While they seem rather joyful, the Hn'ti do not stay in the room for long. Heading away in a different direction. You are able to refill your water skin with the liquor, as well as take a long drink from the tap. It's certainly the same potent drink from before. And just as strong.
The time passes, and you all search, before coming back together during the remainder of the hour. It's then you see your Translator flip over the third hourglass, having spent the first hour with the Elder, the second resting, exploring, drinking, and fighting.
What do you do in this third hour? (Explore more? Rest? Fight? Question the Elder? Investigate the ruins down below further? Leave? Etc)
Diadochi meets up with the group "well despite having a backwards economy and questionable leadership these people don't seem that bad as a whole. Still I'd quite like to leave at our earliest convenience. What say the rest of you?"
Abigail casually wanders back to the group; while she has enjoyed her time with the Hn'ti, she feels like the village and its people are nothing more than they appears to be...
"I am with Diadochi. This place has been fun, but I am ready to leave whenever you all are."

Sim listens to what the others vote and says ok let's head out. He turns to the translator and thanks her for her help and then heads for the edge of town continuing up the mountain toward the Temple. survival22
The translator escorts the group of you out, making sure you're well on your way down the plateau before you see her head back into the village. It's about mid-day when you all take note of where you are, where the temple is, and begin to head out.
The first few hours are rather unremarkable. Usual mountain paths. Climbing up over some rocks, sliding down others. Assisting one another to get through a few of the harder and slick spots. As the sun begins to wane behind a few of the mountains, in your last hours of daylight, Lafetha and Abigail notice a shadow that seems to be following you along the rocks. It's humanoid in shape and size, but not any of your own shadows.
What do you do? (Best skills for scene: Perception, Arcana, Nature. 1 roll per character, no restrictions on helping)
The group takes a brief moment to stop. Yaalin looks around, trying to see what could be causing the shadow. But, all she finds while looking around, a few birds in the distance where the shadow should be coming from. Sim takes a minute, seeing the bird Yaalin points out, then the shadow....
It's a Peryton. A dangerous beast that sometimes exists in the mountains. The head of a stag, with the body of a massive bird. It casts a humanoid shadow.. and if you see it's shadow.. you know it has its sights on you. Part of the reason they're so deadly is the fact their feathered bodies resist blows from weapons. There's not a lot of room to hide.... you could try to run. Or you could get yourselves ready for a fight.

Sim sees the creature and gives warning to everyone. "Look out! There is a [creature]Peryton[/creature] coming up behind us. See the shadow of the man that is actually the Bird up above and it is deceptive in it's distance. It is right over there and it is evil and deadly. I recommend swift action.

You all notice Sim warm the group, as he turns quickly from seeing the shadow and fire off a arrow. It strikes the bird, but not quite where you'd expect it too. The creature turns, only about 40 feet away and much larger. The beast looks at you all, before letting out a loud rut.
ROUND 1 (BEGIN)
Setup: You're all on a rocky portion of trail along the mountainside. Boulders and gravel litter the ground. Flying above you, 40 feet away, is the Peryton. (You all get a additional action, and bonus action, as you heard Sim. You can do something to move near a ally, cast a spell, use a ability / etc. Just please post it as EXTRA ACTION and EXTRA BONUS ACTION)
Example. EXTRA ACTION: Yaalin moves to Diadochi and heals him with SPELL. INITIATIVE ROLL (4) On Yaalin's initiative, she will cast other spell on person. EXTRA ACTION: Abigail moves to some of the big rocks, and attempts to hide. ROLL HIDE. ROLL INITIATIVE. ACTION: Hold action if it comes near me to slice it up. (does rolls)

Yaalin swiftly reacts to Sims yell her hand shooting out a guiding bolt barely visible in the daylight shooting out from her Attack: 21 Damage: 9 ((Extra Action))
Digging her feet in and gritting her jaw, a second guiding bolt follows the first streaking toward the bird, ting out a guiding bolt Attack: 22 Damage: 13
Lafetha takes Sim's warning, and starts to gather 3 nice size rocks. She cast magic Stone on the rocks. She takes one and hurls one of them up at the bird attack 16 damage 5

Inititaitive: 11 Extra action Bonus action Second wind Heal 12. If the creature attacks anyone around 5ft of him he will use protection fighter to give the frist attack disadvantage, but he is only making a point to be with in range of Yaalin. He takes one of Lafetha's magic stones and hurls it at this strange beast, Attack: 20 Damage: 8.
Summary: Sim notices the peryton, calls out it’s location and let’s loose a arrow, it striking the beast (6). Yaalin instantly turns and hurls a guiding bolt, but the creature tucks in it’s wings and avoids the blast easily. Diadochi gathers his strength, stepping in front of Yaalin and Lafetha, ready to assist in their defense. Lafetha gathers some rocks, and shifts them magical. Abigail moves somewhat behind Diadochi, getting some cover and distance.
Lafetha tosses one of the magic stones at the beast, striking it on it’s wing (5). Abigail continues to stay somewhat out of the way. The Peryton begins to dive at everyone. At first, it seems to be heading to Sim. It’s eyes noticing him first, but as it takes a deep breath, it shifts to Lafetha. While Diadochi tries to defend, it pushes past his defenses and it’s horn and talons strike into her before it continues to fly past everyone and back into the air (27). Sim let’s loose a arrow as the beast takes back to the sky (4). Diadochi, grabs one of the rocks from Lafetha’s fallen hand and tosses it at the beast, but misses. Yaalin unleashes a burst of radiant energy, it flying and striking the beast, leaving a glowing mark on it (11).
Setup: Lafetha lays on the ground bleeding out. Diadochi is beside both Yaalin, and Lafetha’s collapsed body. Abigail is behind Diadochi. Sim is slightly off to the side. The beast seems to have a easy time flying through groups before you can react, it now 20 feet away and back in the sky after it’s initial attack. There are a few drops of blood from the beast on the ground, at least injured at this point. (The first attack against the creature will have advantage, due to Yaalin’s guiding bolt.)
