Melkias seeks to end this quickly. He begins whispering while strumming his lute, the whispering growing louder and louder in the creatures mind until it becomes a sickening cacophony!
(Using Dissonant Whispers, 2nd level. Wis Save DC 13 or take 18 psychic damage. On a failure the target also uses its reaction to move as far as it can away from me. On a success, half damage and no movement.)

Already stumbling from Delg's magic, the creature begins to shake its head, its sensitive ears flicking wildly as Melkias' spell hits it. Thoroughly disoriented, the creature turns in confusion and begins heading away from the party.
Mulligan wakes, groggy, and turns to watch Delg and Melkias firing magic off into the wilderness. He gets up and scrambles toward them, prepared to swing his hammer should the need arise.
Mulligan stumbles over to Delg and Melkias, watching the creature lumber off into the distance, still shaking its head and screeching, though the screeches now sound pained.
((You have successfully driven off the wild creature))
"I didn't even try to see. Just heard it coming and did anything. You get a good look, Melkias?" Delg takes a step forward. "Think it might come back?"
"I think we're in the clear. Not many creatures enjoy a screaming in their heads. As for what it was...didn't get a good look. Maybe an Owlbear or something? I've heard that such creatures roam the area. Not entirely sure what thhose are, either. Although I'm sure its some sort of Owlish Bear. Men aren't that creative with the names."
He takes a seat once more and retunes his lute, before going back to a calming sonata.

Everyone settles back down to sleep to the soothing tunes of Melkias' lute. After a few hours, Melkias wakes the next watch. The rest of the evening passes uneventfully and the party wakes as the sun appears above the horizon.
The party sets off, walking northward, searching for Thundertree. After a warm and humid morning of walking, the party comes upon what looks like an old, winding lane, currently overgrown. You catch glimpses of dilapidated buildings here and there, all choked in vines and brush. Many of the stone houses are roofless ruins, with interiors open to the weather. A few buildings appear more or less intact, from what you can see. Ahead of you, in the middle of the settlement, rises a steep hill, upon which stands a stone tower with a partially collapsed roof and an adjoining cottage. A dirt road hugs the base of the hill and disappears into the vegetation. The whole place is eerily silent. A wooden sign is nailed to a post nearby. It reads: "DANGER! Plant monsters AND zombies! Turn back now!"
((You are approaching from the south road - the signpost is near the bush at the bottom of the map.))
The closest building (5) looks as if it might once have been a farmhouse. It is now half swallowed by a dense thicket, with trees growing up through its ruined foundations. The lane continues south a short distance past the ruin before ending in an overgrown field. The building on the left (4) appears to be in better condition than the ruined and dilapidated structures nearby. The doors are reinforced with heavy iron bands, and thick shutters protect the windows.

((When Delg woke up, he placed Blessing of the Forge on his Warhammer. ))
"Plant monsters? Have not heard of those. And rather insistant on there being two dangers." Delg will circle round the sign, going toward but not into the farmhouse. He'll make a wide circuit, seeing how complete the house is and what entrances there are. He'll also listen for anything within. Perception: 10
Delg - the spaces between the buildings are overgrown with thick vines and brush. You can vaguely make out two other buildings - one to the east and one to the north. The one to the north is larger, and part of the roof is still intact. The building to the east has a large chimney. Dex check, please

At that distance, Delg can only cast Sacred Flame. The creatures needs a DEX 12 save or take 8 radiant damage.
Dex Save: 4
The creature tries to dodge the bolt of radiant energy from Delg, but its bulk makes it clumsy, and it takes a direct hit.

Mulligan, still shaking off the effects of a rather sudden awakening, looks to Delg and Melkias. "What was that?"
"I didn't even try to see. Just heard it coming and did anything. You get a good look, Melkias?" Delg takes a step forward. "Think it might come back?"
Ajax is very late to realise something have happened, hopying nobody notices he did wake up, in a second he is already fast asleep
Melkias smiles.
