I'm going to assume that Incantis is happy with this plan. :)
It's sunset on the same day; the five of you are sitting around a table in the busy common room of the Blushing Mermaid, enjoying an evening meal if you are happy to pay for it (3 silver pieces each.) You've had a successful day teasing out some information and possible leads, doing reconnaissance in the sewers, and shopping for pantaloons.
‘Ave we sussed anyting about this Divlayne family? Maybe we do some reconnaissance after a few more pints. Some in the fore with Vaz and some on the sly like meself and Inky and Feathers (motioning to Strix). I just can’t get past this seeming blatant connection with the Forsaken and needs te understand whether theys are helping by force or by financial gain or if’n some Divlayne we don’t know about might be our Forsaken mistress. What say you lads?”
Strix cocks his head quizzically at the notion of recon after pints, but gaining a nickname is more than enough to set him back at ease, a gormless grin splitting his face like the skin of a gone-off banana.
Dekhan smiles Aye, we learned a bit as well, and old salt named Frell told us the best gossip to be had is at the Grinning Lion. Vaz and I could head there and start poking around a bit. Then you lot could meet us there After your reconnoitering.
((That's a fair assumption; sorry my school's spring break started & I fully retreated into the kingdom of Hyrule))
Incantis will listen to Scupper's plan. "I'm happy to switch to surreptition. Scup, you had any particular mind? Dekhan and Vaz look to the Lion, and us to the sewers?"

I think we have yer bird scout ahead and the tree of us give the Divlayne residence a closer look on the less then legal side. We’ve a meet with the Plague Rats on the morrrow ‘eve so sewars can wait. If anyting goes out from beneath us whilst poking around Divlayne manor, you can send herself the wee demon bird to warn Dek and Vaz.
Feathers (returning Strix’s smile to bring him back to the discussion) can keep us quiet as field mice. And we can always distract if necessary. Once we’ve had moment to poke about, mebbe Dek and Vaz have finished their rumor mongering and make an early appearance at Divlayne manor about this invitation. We’ll already be there (or close by if we had to flee the coop)
Not really Vaz. Snooty bar uptown with possible rumors on the Divlayne family. You’d errr likely be on yer best behavior.
or maybe we accompany youz lot and watch the comings and going’s from outside and see if anyone gets spooked enough by yer questions te send someone with a message.
I’ll be honest lads, this heroin’ shite is new and I’d normally have jest waylaid some sorry sod and taken what info we needed or broke down Divlayne’s door te demand our feckin camel back.
All things in moderation, Scup, including hero-ing. Vaz and I can play the part of bar patrons well enough, and you can waylay anyone who we send to ground!
“I agree; they came for Soodi in the first place, and I’m not above getting her back by less than heroic means. All the same, forewarned is forearmed. Get me someplace quiet next to someone important, and I’ll get all I can.”He looks at Strix for ‘get me someplace quiet, then to Scupper, “You’ve no qualms being party to mind witchery, long as they target our foes?”
Incantis calls Zhudala to his side, silently conveying to her the plan. Her shadowy form twitches, as if preparing to make use of surreptitious shapeshifting.

Oh hells no, Inky! Get inside the devils’ minds all ye like. My love o’ me own privacy and property doesn’t mean I respect that o’ me enemies...as my usual interrogation has pointedly shown ;)
So then, the grinning lion...with us in tow on the quiet like.
Two hours later, you find yourselves outside the Grinning Lion in the North Ward, just off Golden Serpent Street. As you approach you see more Watchmen than usual, patrolling the streets. You can also see that this is a wealthier part of town, with expensive-looking townhouses on this street and some villas and large houses set in gardens behind high walls further along the way. The tavern looks immaculate from the outside, an extremely reputable establishment.
You enter (those of you who are entering) and what you see inside almost matches the exterior. Almost. It's clean, and expensively decorated, and the clientele seems well-to-do. But you can see the stains on the wall that the fresh coat of paint aren't quite enough to hide. Many of the tables are new and of the modern fashion, but at the sides, some older, worn tables have survived, with their scars intact. You get the sense that this place used to be substantially less upmarket.
However, there's no doubt that it's serving the upper-middle class now. As you enter, several heads turn to look at you, several noses lift slightly in disdain, and all heads turn away, ignoring you completely.
There are tables with customers, and a bar to the side with two staff at the moment, a dwarf woman and a half-elf man. A human man is also moving around serving drinks at the tables, and there are a few tables that are currently vacant.
Scupper sets up somewhere outside that has a view of the front door maybe outside a shop window to look with reflections or barring that just a corner to take in the street scene. Vendors? Architecture? Not sure what I can play at doing. He still has some papers from previous situations like old notes and paper maps he can “look over”.
Scupper, you find a small park with two benches. The other is occupied by an elderly halfling woman who glances at you and raises her eyebrows as you sit down. You take out your papers and peruse them for all you are worth, while keeping a keen eye on the door to the tavern. Is there anything in particular you are looking for - either in the scene, or in the people coming and going?
Strix, there are several tall townhouses, and it's easy enough to find a perch to look from. It's not too hard to remain hidden - make a Stealth check with advantage, just in case someone happens to glance up. Same question to you - what are you looking for?
Scupper is looking for someone to walk out calmly or surreptitiously and then look flustered or rushed. Basically a person stepping out and the emotion change to run and tell someone who’s there.
Looking for suspicious behaviour - anyone leaving in a hurry, looking over their shoulder, or coming out, doing something "un-alley-like" (i.e. not taking a whizz behind a bin) and going straight back inside. Or, you know, setting stuff on fire and crying "death to the unbelievers" but expecting something subtler.
(OOC Edit : Roller, I think you've misunderstood the concept of "advantage" - hope you're saving my 20 for when I really need it!)
Dekhan makes a show of taking in his surroundings upon entering the bar, making not of the fresh coat of paint and the upmarket makeover. As he makes his way to the bar he takes a look around for an employee who looks like they've been there since before the change in clientele, someone who seems like they know the goings-on of the place. Upon reaching the bar he says Alright, landlord? Love what you've done with the place. he nods approvingly as he looks around It's a pleasure to be in a fine establishment such as this. While the dockside bars have their charms, one does crave a bit of comfort and refinement now and then! I'll have an ale, please. He puts a gold coin on the bar. And have one for yourself.
(((Sorry for the delay, guys, our podcast host pooped the bed and I had a hell of a weekend getting that sorted, and that, combined with getting the latest episode ready for release and playing in a one-shot yesterday to promote a new game coming to kickstarter [Necropunk, a VERY cool game based on a series of italian post-apocolyptic novels] I've been a bit maxed out bandwidth wise!)))

Varinth, feeling a lot better with an ale in his belly, mumbles Indeedily and Verily! when he thinks it appropriate. He nods his head a lot.
Finally, a bit of the current situation clicks in his brain.

Strix will look for a back door, and if there is one will try to find a rooftop perch to watch it from.
