Even as you say that, Ayra, you also realize your own lack of rations (which is I guess expected of someone with your background, definitely not a developed sense of food insecurity). After all, the last thing you ate was lunch back at The Writ Spires where you met Wraeven in the tavern. Since then, you've been running on the excitement of it all.
At this point, I will say that unless anyone wants to chase after the Harpy and Bugbear, we can drop out of initiative, and anyone is free to act for the time being.
[Also, I will note that everyone's little mini comments are awesome: I will often be laughing at them even if I don't post a response directly.]
"Well, we have this one, he can at least show us where they took our crates to. If he agrees, we can take care of this Mayfly and then maybe we can spare some nourishment for his cooperation.
We should probably start heading back to camp and make sure the others are alright as well"
to Alessandair: "I can speak with those at camp from this distance".
And then to Mobya, back at camp, using message, "Mobya, is everything still in order at camp? One of the creatures has surrendered to us and can lead us to the stolen crates." then to Alessandair again, with a slight bow of her head: "We can still return to regroup if you wish"
"If the camp is safe it would be best to take care of this cargo business quickly. I'm feeling compelled to make sure the younglings are safe, but I think those of us here are safer together."
Mobya freaks out for a second as she hears Ayra speaking inside her head, but quickly realizes the lady has serious powers and relaxes. She whispers back “we are alright, the babies are safe and sound. Lil almost set the forest on fire and the Merchant is looking worse for the wear, but we are all fine.”
Returns his attention to the bugbear as his expression goes from one of inquiry to stern, slightly furrowing his brow, he will say to the creature, "Show us where the rest of our supplies are being taken, and you shall live. We shall free you from the matriarchy of the harpy, but any tricks and you will be the first to be cut down."
Agozur will keep bow in hand and stay near the bugbear ready to trip him if he runs "Hmmmm... I wonder why destiny didn't have it in for a foul creature like yourself on this day. Maybe there's some worth to you yet, have you ever thought of trying an honest life or making up for all that you've done?"
Ayra (following behind the bugbear) shares the news from camp with her companions and whispers back to Mobya: "Inform the merchant that will be recovering his goods. And good luck to you. it sounds like you may need it."
Back at the camp, Lil and the merchant will shift to an alert but more relaxed position sitting atop the wagon.
Lil will ask Mobya, "Well, I know how Aggs and I found the merchant. I grew up on the farm, and the Merchant here is a household name. Many times, Pa Bo talked about Merch here calming a group of angries, and what not. But you must be from one of the Villamestos further south or something, right? I think Merch is the only dwarf near Phaerweehl or the Edgerburgs. What made you head north?"
[Worldbuidling: Mobya would know that the Edgerburgs are what people call the small farm towns that feed into Phaerweehl, there are 6-10 depending on who you talk to from the region. The Villamestos are more southerly towns of dwarves, rough-and-tumble wild/wood elves, halflings, and humans, and the villamestos are situated in very old forests. These towns are built around large trees, and the culture that holds these growing things in high honor--I imagine--is what influenced Mobya's druidic philosophy?]
“I was an orphan who was raised by an older cousin and his family. Our extended family belongs to the Clan Bengranite, established in Stonengrite, who is known for our commitment to hard work and loyalty to clan and to family. My family has worked as stonemasons for many generations, and from a young age I had felt a deep connection to plants, trees, animals, and event the dirt where they are found. This attraction to nature often took me to places my people didn’t usually go, such as caves and forests. The other dwarves regarded me as odd and eccentric growing up -- I was the only one who seemed more interested in leaves, flowers, and plants, than rocks and stones. I was good with the familiar the tools and especially cutting stones into cubical shapes and stacking them on top of each other. But my heart was not in stone masonry. When I was barely a teenager, I realized I could make flowers bloom by simply whispering to them, and animals, even wild ones, were docile to me. At one point I decided It was time to leave my native home and move to a place where my gifts could be rxplored, and that’s when I moved up to Villamestos to work as a farm groundskeeper. But after almost dying in a bad tree chopping accident, I decided I wanted to see more of the world before I die, and this job of escorting wagons is generally easy and pays well, and takes me all over the land .”
As they are in the woods preparing for the next stage of the night's activity, Ayra notices that some of her companions suffered injuries during the battle.
To Wraeven and Alessandair in particular: "Are you both certain you are able to continue? It appears as if you have been injured."
[I would offer to do something to help except I seem to have built Ayra to be completely useless :P DM: I don't suppose a medicine check would be helpful?]
"Tis but a scratch." Wraeven tumbles to the ground. "I'm okay!" He clambers to his feet and carries on. He falls down about 30 ft. later. [Rinse and Repeat.]
Well, I do have a home-brew rule for the Medicine skill because I think just giving someone minor attention can be extremely encouraging and help their will to live and even heal faster. So, If someone has proficiency in medicine, I will allow them to make a medicine check and commit 5 minutes of in-game time, and if the roll is higher than 10, the person being medicined can heal 1 HP. If the person has a medicine kit and gets a medicine check higher than 15, I will allow the patient to use a hit die to heal without taking a full hour long short rest. But only once per patient per long rest. How does that sound to everyone?
[I guess that's fine. Wraeven actually has 5 hit points before he is unconscious. I keep thinking we are going get finished for the evening and he can get his hit die back. ]

"yessah," he slowly rises, slouching his 6 and a half foot frame and tucking his elbows in with his palms out.
"This way, mister." He begins walking around the scarred tree toward Silv'ar, trying not to look at Gravel, lying at his feet.

At Agozur, the bugbear will say, "We was always told, 'Fish gotta swim, and a Bugbear's gotta eat,' but maybe you's right....maybe you is."
