Sven quickly moves to a position guarding the others while watching the cave entrance to see if anything emerges. "Is that all of them? You said you counted 12 total correct? So we should have 6 remaining by my count. I think our odds have just improved significantly!" Sven whispers to the group "Check them and then we need to move quickly, they may have sounded the alarm, we can't give them too much time to prepare."
Pops continues to clutch his stomach as he stares blankly at the fallen head. "I'm not cut out for this frontal assault business."
"I need something for this wound, I think. You guys have any hocus pocus you might help me with or should I try this stuff?"(He taps the potion of healing flask he's been holding on to.)

Brats looks over to Pops, noticing how injured he is. "I do not Pops, sorry." He then heads over to the bodies of the goblins and searches for anything of use, picking up his arrow from the one while he does so.

[OOC: I noticed that also after you had said it but it threw me off because the DND Beyond Character Sheet only calculated for the Disciple of Life so it says 1d8 + 3 not 1d8 +8. Seems super OP to me that a well built life cleric would have guaranteed 8HP heals at Level 1. I imagined it was to kinda GIMP stuff like that because I have so many healing options and can later do a lot more powerful stuff with that. Will have to see what the DM says.

He pointed out that it is a kinda high value but I can only use it twice so that balances it out. Makes sense why I don't have any healing cantrips...

OOC: Brats isn't entirely correct, but i think you figured it out. The spell adds your characters spellcasting ability modifier (+3 from wisdom) but not the prof bonus to the amount healed and then you add the life cleric special part on. So 12 is correct. Cure Wounds
But then you would get to add Disciple of Life (PHB 60). (Whenever you use a spell of 1st level or higher to restore HP, the creature regains additional HP equal to 2 + the spell’s level.)
With disciple of life, you add an extra 2 + 1 (spell level), so 12 total.
And with healing, there is no overhealing so the reminder left over doesn't get added to Pops HP, but Pops is at full HP.

Brats moves closer to the cave. "I say we go in, swords swinging. It's worked so far!" Brats says, his confidence higher than it was a few moments ago.
Looking in, everyone can see a cave tunnel going forward north. Those with dark vision can see there is a curve in the tunnel to the right. Also to the right, about 15 feet in is a natural cut out in the cavern wall. You can all hear snarls coming from that area.
Goblin 1 is unable to move and gets burned under this magical flame.
Goblin 1 now has a chance to break from the spell: 18
The spell breaks and he looks at you all, cursing about your mothers in goblin.
