As one of many talented house performers at several of the local taverns in Mirabar, Petros has been witness to a host of extracurricular smuggling practices found in alleyways and basements. Given different circumstances it easily could have been Petros himself shoving black market harmonicas into the gills of preserved codfish. Petros studies the outside of the barrel looking for any unusual markings and then plunges his arm into one of the barrels as far as it will go.
(Typo: meant perception check. Your base roll was good enough to find something.) A waterproof satchel hangs from a submerged rope attached along the south wall of the cistern, about 2 feet below the surface of the water. It's not visible from above the water.
While armpit deep inside one the of barrels Petros sees something unusual in the cistern. He pulls his newly exfoliated hand from the salty brine, grabs the rope and finds a satchel. He opens it up to explore its contents. Petros looks at Pops, gestures to the water and whispers "I hope there is a bar of soap in here because some of us could stand for a bath!"

He opens it up to explore its contents. Petros looks at Pops, gestures to the water and whispers "I hope there is a bar of soap in here because some of us could stand for a bath!"
The satchel hidden in the cistern is waterproof and contains two vials filled with fluid, one purple and the other silvery, 50 gp, and a clean set of ordinary travel clothing.
Pops hisses quietly at Petros, and puts his finger quickly to his lips, eyeing the two doors in turn. (Quiet!)
(Baths, he ponders. Never was very fond of 'em. Is it springtime already?)
Waving to the other to pay attention, Pops quietly tugs at the northern door under the stairs. Can he open it a crack quietly to get a peek? Stealth: 22
Sven takes one glance at the contents and says "I'd wager that is a go bag. Someone wants to be ready to get out of here in a hurry." Sven begins to look around curiously at the contents of the room. He picks up an apple and sniffs at it, then takes a bite out of the apple if he thinks it is a good apple. "Should we try to block the door in case we end up chasing someone back out this way? Might save us some trouble." He then grabs out one of his pitons to see if he can jam the door so that it won't easily open.
The door will easily push open. If Sven wants to jamb the, you can close it behind you and hammer a piton under the door.
Thick dust covers the flagstones of this somber hallway. The walls are decorated with faux columns every ten feet, and the double doors at the west end of the hall are sheathed in copper plate, now green with age. A relief carving of a mournful angel graces the doors. You all are standing near were "3" is.
Thick dust covers the flagstones... but no footprints? Pops looks to see if there are any signs of passage in the dust. Investigation: 16 (Did the traffic outside all go through the other door?? Why would this tunnel be untraveled?)
And what does Pops make of the mournful angel? (Not sure of the check - Pop's bonuses for History, Religion, and Arcana are all the same. We'll go with...) Religion: 19.
Sven does jam the door they had entered through with one of the Pitons. He then moves over to the door Pops was looking through and says to Pop "Does this look like the best way to go or should I block this door as well and we go to the other door?"
"Are we the first to disturb this hallway in some time or would someone like for us to think that?" Petros brushes the dust from the flagstone paver in front of him. "Are we walking neck first into a guillotine?"
There is a path in the dust is not completely undisturbed. You notice a path down the center of the hallway. In the center of the hall, a large (10' x 10') patch of the dust undisturbed. As you move closer, you notice a long wooden board laid up against the wall near the other set of doors. Sven jams the door with the piton as Nyana moves in. (Bratz is out of the game.) Bratz says to the group, "I'm going back to town to get help. Something does not feel right..."
Pops recognizes the angel is normally placed at the entrance into older crypts. It is normally a decorative piece.
Sven waves to Brats on his way out. He then turns around and moves to investigate the board laid up against the wall. "It seems strange to leave this here. Can any of you think why it would be left here?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Sven begins to walk through the section of undisturbed dust, a few puffs of air can be heard from each side of the wall. 4 darts shoot out at Sven. You will have made it to the other side after the barrage of darts.
Pops winces in sympathy as he watches. Can he see markings in the wall where the darts were ejected? Were the darts high enough they might be crawled under? Is the board more than 10 feet long?
"Sven, lay that board across that 10-by-10 patch. I'll try to cross."
If Sven is amenable, and the solutions seem plausible, Pops will try to crawl across the board to the crypt doors.
Sven winces as 3 of the darts hit him then gathers himself and takes Pops suggestion. Lays the board across the 10x10 patch. Then he gets the hell out of the way ducking down low and tends to his wounds from the darts.
Second Wind: 9
OOC: Might have misread, but I didn't realize the board was on the opposite side of the 10x10 patch. I wasn't thinking I was walking across that area when I said I was doing this.
Sven removes the darts, two from his arm and on from his thigh. They're rusty and seem they have been there for some time. He throws them to the ground, making a clink against the stone floor. The board is just enough to span the length of the dart trap. Two blocks attached to each end hold the board up from the floor.
