Alexia nods, rising. "I'll get out of your way then," she says softly. Careful to keep the sleeping Riannis from falling off her shoulder, she turns to move out of camp.
Az awakens and helps ready whatever is left to ready to get moving. She then goes to where Ishaz is resting still and begins her questioning.
"Good morning," Az begins looking at the seafolk rather more critically than ever before. "This shortcut was rather a disaster if you don't mind me saying. Why was chosen? Is the main road really so terribly overrun with bandits," she presses with hands over her chest her expression curt.
Sitting up with a grimace, the seafolker holds his hand to his bandaged neck. "It was... for expediency... not safety." He struggles to say the words. "We should continue... Follow the stream... It'll get us... Back to the road." His gills flutter with pain as he croaks out, "And be... bloody careful this time!" before he flops back onto his makeshift bed breathing heavily.
Garun is sitting with his brother and Yanny on the other wagon. The younger men look exhausted and are laying down. Garun seems to be overcoming his wound quite well.

"The camp is salvaged, the dead are buried, and the living are loaded to move. There's not much left to do." Valen hauls his pack across the clearing and loads it into the wagon before taking a position a few feet away with shield and javelins at the ready.
The priest overhears the merchant's warning and direction with heavy criticism, "To the river, then. Hopefully the next pack of beasts will take us totally at unawares and carry us down before we know what's happening."

Alexia pokes her head around the root and says to Valen, "I'll see what I can do to keep us from being attacked by any more animals." She promptly flushes and shrinks back against the root.
Arc bows his head as is custom when the music plays honoring the dead. He stayed outside the new tents and kept watch even when he was resting.
Listening to the Seafolker he is not sure he understood. "Are you saying we should continue on the new path or that we should make our way back to the original road and make a more traditional journey on the highway?"
Once it is agreed by the majority that the group should leave the area, the loads are strapped to the wagons and you set off through the brush towards the stream found previously. Alexia takes the lead to watch out for and dissuade any potentially hostile natural predators, with Riannis providing aid. Your pace is not as swift as before, due to the strain on the mules from their extra load. Ishaz croaks and gives blunt commands to Corrigan, the seafolker is obviously uncomfortable and has lost his air of friendliness. After a few hours of marvelling at the sights and sounds of the deep jungle, you emerge from the edge of the stream onto the side of a low stone bridge. Looking around, it appears that you have made your way back onto the main road carved between the imposing trees. The road is twenty feet wide, allowing for large wagons to flow past one another. As you roll onto the the cobbled road and orient yourselves in a south-eastern direction, you hear a shout from ahead.
Two men wearing the garb of the Foarish Legion are posted at the end of the small bridge. One appears to be exiting the underbrush on the opposite side from where you came from, buckling up his breeches as he wanders over. The other, carrying a hooked pike approaches. He wears a chain shirt with a red and black checked tabard emblazoned with a yellow sun. He adjusts his kettle hat as he calls out in a gruff southern Foarland drawl, "Oi! Why are you lot travellin' off road? Yer lucky to have not b'in riddled with arrers by-" he stops suddenly as he realises the racial composition of the party. He looks confused between the sunblessed, the half-elfs and the injured seafolker, also taking stock of the condition of the caravan. "By the sun! You look a sorry lot, what troubles ye?". His companion saunters up with his axe lowered and whistles a shrill note to himself as he notices the weary and worn state of the wagons and group.
Ishaz props himself up against a barrel before any of you can reply, "We have no interest in idle banter! We are set for Barmouth and are running late as is, step aside." Corrigan chuckles at the meister's bluntness as he gently taps the leading mule with his reed. The men part and allow the wagons through, eyeing each of you as you pass but remaining silent. You are approximately two days from Barmouth by main road.

Alexia keeps her head down and her hood up as they pass the Legion men. The further the caravan gets from the jungle, the more tense she seems, slipping to the back of the group when she no longer needs to keep off animals.
Riannis wakes up to help Alexia in the jungle, frequently turning invisible. Once the caravan is on the main road, she settles on Alexia's pack and looks around eagerly, taking in the passing scenery.
Could I have had Galius casting enhance ability on the mule carrying solo for Strength of the Bear? It lasts an hour, and I could do it twice. It’d help keep the pace up at least while we get out of the crap road until we get to the main road?
Listening to the Seafolker he is not sure he understood. "Are you saying we should continue on the new path or that we should make our way back to the original road and make a more traditional journey on the highway?"
OOC: Was this missed? Because I'm fuzzy on where we're traveling too.
Az remains by Arc's side and keeps an eye out for Alexia. They seeming the only two in the party to have addressed her directly and who seem kind.

[OoC]: Absolutely (although I assume you mean Bull), and that's a fantastic idea too.

[OoC]: Sorry for the confusion. You followed the stream back out of the shortcut and are now on the main road. I was becoming wary of us being bogged down trying to decide which way to go for too long, so moved along in the direction which Ishaz suggested, him being the caravan master.
Noticing Az keeping an eye on her, Alexia slowly drifts closer until she's walking next to Az. On top of Alexia's pack, Riannis watches Az curiously, her eyes flicking occasionally to Arc.
"What brings you to this work," Az asks Alexia curiously. "I...I'm sorry I took so long to speak before now. I took the journey here to observe everyone and find...well you like me and Arc," she pauses to gesture at the warforge, "seem observant of our company too," she adds.
Az then looks genuinely mezmerized by Riannis. Az has never seen such a pretty petite being before and is momentarily distracted until she looks back to Alexia to answer her question.

Alexia shrugs and says softly, "I travel. This caravan was offering work and it was headed towards the jungles." She's silent for a moment before adding, "I miss the jungles."
Riannis waves at Az, bouncing slightly up and down on the bag she's sitting on.
Arc listens to Az and Alexia. Addressing Alexia, but mesmerized by Riannis, he says "So you like the jungle? I do as well. The animals intrigue me. It may seem strange but I wish I could feel pain like you and other uncreated creatures do. I have curiosity and I can understand frustration and excitement in terms of my desires but there is so much I don't understand." He continues to follow the sprite as she flits from place to place. "I guess we all are unique in our own way."
"Is this companion of yours able to sense any emotion in me? I understand that is one of her spiritual powers and I am interested to know if I express myself spiritually in a similar way to other beings? Can you ask her?" He is still watching as the Sprite moves now more slowly as it realizes it is the subject of this part of the conversation.
Alexia nods, her face becoming slightly more animated. "I love the jungle. It's incredibly vibrant and beautiful. And the creatures there are stunning to watch and speak with." She shrugs. "I often prefer them to humanoids."
Riannis pauses in her flitting as Arc asks his question. Alexia looks at her, and Riannis flutters over near Arc. Alexia nods. "She's willing to try." The sprite lands neatly on Arc's head.
[Ooc: Riannis should be able to tell your current emotional state. In addition, if you fail a DC 10 Cha ST, she also knows your alignment]
I think Galius will try to engage Lucina in some conversation. He’ll walk up close next to her and begin to babble a bit.
“So, Lucina, right? What’s your story? Seems most of the people on this trip don’t really see themselves as lifetime caravan guards. And yet, we see a pointed ear, or yellow hair and find ourselves filing each other away in nice, neat boxes. I like to think each box has an unexpected present in it, but I’m a bit eager to look inside.”
He realizes he might be a bit close, and gives her just enough space that they won’t have to worry about accidentally touching.
”Ha! Sorry, I tend to ramble on if I don’t watch it. My words move faster than my good sense can catch them. Ahem. I’m Galius, and I hope we will be friends.”
Galius extends a hand the short distance between them and smiles a wry, but earnest smile.
