Barnaby circles his free hand over his head and then brings it down with a flourish crosswise in front of himself. Words of an ancient language spill from his lips. As the chant finishes and his hand stops, pointing back towards the creature, a grey speck appears directly before it. All at once the speck explodes 20' outwards creating dense fog that ends at the tip of Kif's nose.
We are beginning a chase. During a chase, you may use the Dash action freely up to 3 times plus your Constitution modifier. Beyond that, you may use it again, but you must succeed on a DC Constitution save, or take one level of Exhaustion. Fope, you can Dash as a bonus action on your turn, if you want, but that's still a Dash for the purpose of this rule. You guys are all up; you are where I put you. We are still in initiative order. Take your turns.
Barnaby has already taken an action this round; the rest of you have taken none.
Føpé will follow and keep up with whomever is before him. If he lays eyes on the monster he will shoot a sling bullet at it and use his dash as a bonus.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Well that's some gruesome shit
Does Barnaby still have a move this turn?
If so I'm assuming he is using it to run up the stairs, I'll run to the first landing of the stairs and ready an action to attack swamp dude if he come within range. Barnaby has burned his movement I'll move up next to him with the same held action
Barnaby will move forwards as far as possible making sure to keep Ireena in front of him. That's it girl. One foot at a time, just like usual. No no...don't look back.
These stairs are narrow. With any luck that huge beast will not be able to fit through. At very least, I must assume that the squeeze will slow him down. On now...everyone, go go go.
You can hear the creature crashing through the water; it sounds unhindered by the fog. With a groan and crash, you now hear the portcullis give way as well. It rounds the corner, with blood dripping dripping from its arms!
Barnaby still has a move this turn, and has now used it to reach the stairs.
The creature rounds a corner on its turn. Fope releases his held action, striking it with a sling stone! It grunts in response.
I'll take care of your movement up to the next level, so please just say what you intend to do and give your movement speed. Reading through these posts, it seems like you guys all want to be last. It would help me if you could actually figure out an order.
Føpé has 9 bullets left. Running while fighting is something he's good at! +5 to hit, 1d4+3 damage. If the thing gets close enough, he'll swing his scimitar and disengage for his bonus action.

Let's be clear about what you can and can't do.
You can hold an action, such as using your sling. "If the thing comes around the corner, I fire the sling at it." You can't, however, disengage as a delayed action. That's a bonus action, which you can only do on your turn. You also can't move as part of a delayed action. Just take an action.
Sorry, guys, I know I owe you a big update. Please, in your next posts, just share your movement speed and your CON modifiers so I have it all here. I know I could look it up but it would save me the trouble.
Lower the portcullis!
Once everyone is on the safe side, Føpé will pull down. Athletics: 12
It falls once nobody is holding it. You would rightly guess that the portcullis is only a temporary impediment to a beast of this size.
We must leave, but I think I can slow it down.

Now...we should go.
Edit: Oh, and poor Puddin, poor poor Puddin.
We will have our revenge Barnaby. I'll guard the rear!
And the heat is on.

Kif, then Ireena, then Barnaby, then Fope. Barnaby doesn’t need to be last he just needs to be behind Ireena.
Barnaby will encourages Ireena to double move, and will stay right behind her.
“One must die,” my backside. Apparently we all must die. Seems fair, just be honest about it.
Kif would never go in front of Ireena, other than that the order is ok
Kif! Lead the way! Someone needs to protect Ireena's frontside!
I'm pretty sure Kif was joking, but I figured I would respond regardless. :)

Ok, running ahead of Ireena, making sure not to go down hallway with pit

Going to be careful not to get too far ahead of the group
I'll move the group from this level to the next, and I know you all want to stay close together.
