When you first came up, there were two unfamiliar little girls "chained" to the closet. They transformed into unfamiliar witches. It stands to reason that they were the two women you'd already seen occupying the windmill - the one you talked to in the bakery and the other Tulip saw through the window - but which was which, so to speak, you cannot tell.
The children are a boy and a girl. The girl says her name is Jess, and she identifies the boy as Toby. She explains that they are from Vallaki, and that their parents (they are not related, she adds) traded them to the witch for pastries. Toby is nervous and silent.
Nothing else magic, other than the barrel on the first floor.
Kif finds nothing of interest in the dome. Peek behind the DM screen: I was intending to trap you in this room if I could (though I did not think it was likely). Also, the campaign materials provide that if one of the Madam Eva fortune telling goodies is in the mill, it is here, in the dome. But you didn't have any items at this location.
Misalyk intends to escort the kids safely back to town and instructs the kids to hold hands and takes the hand of one of them. "I will protect you now. We will find you better parents. Stay close, the witches might still be here." He keeps his sword arm free.
Have we cleared the upper floors? If so he'd move down with the party keeping up with them but making protecting the kids his priority.
Chubs, very upset by what he's seen, would like a short rest in order to meditate on it. He looks at Kif, Couldn't you use a little time to patch up your wounds? Either way, we can go or wait, I would prefer to have a little time to center myself though.
So guys, what do we do with this place, it is basically covered in the dust of childrens' bones, maybe we should burn it down on our way out to keep that from happening again
Oh bother I had hoped that I'd get inspiration back on the short rest but that is once a long rest. I need to conserve it a bit more... Also I think we did search the whole place.
Misalyk: "I agree with burning it. I don't think I would ever trust food made here again. Beyond cursed."
Chubs: Burn it, don't burn it. What do I care? It's just stones and wood, time will take it, one way or another.
Barnaby looks up at the building with not just a hint of sorrow in his eyes. Can you imagine the history in a structure like that? If stones could talk... He won't argue if you guys think it should be burnt, but he'll look bummed out the entire time.
The exterior is stone. It will take quite some time to burn down. If you want to do it, go ahead, but I’ll be asking for survival checks to see if you can get it done before sunset. Totally up to you, but I want to give you a sense of how difficult it would be.
"It is sad yes. To watch something important die because it was corrupted. But you cannot let the corruption fester. It will eat you. This building has history, but now it must be obliterated for us to have history." Misalyk offers Barnaby a bottle of wine. "Besides. Sorrow reminds you of happiness. Even if it is happiness you no longer have."
Oh, how generous of you Misalyk! Barnaby looks a bit too distracted with the wine to have paid much attention to the rest of the bard's words. He drinks deeply and it looks like his mood has improved a fair bit.

I'll take a peek about 23 perception then head back down (unless I find something cool..like some lavender scented bird crap)
Seeing the children, Chubs will quickly release them from their cages. Are you alright? How long have you been here? What have they done to you?
The children who we sent outside turned out to be the witches, correct? I'd go back through the posts to look, but I'm really lazy. :P
Did anything else pop up on the detect magic radar other than the cauldron? Which witch got away, mother or daughter?

Yes. There’s the bakery floor, the grindstone floor, the bedroom floor (where you had the fight), and the dome.
It’s very early afternoon. The party heads back to Vallaki, with the children?
Yes, seems like we might need to have a word with their parent, or bring them to the priest
Agree
What I'm asking, indirectly, is if you're intending to rest first. Going forward, I won't ask so bluntly. It's up to you guys.

Barnaby is non-commital.
Yes, a short rest would be good, hopefully we can get out of here in case witchie poo comes back with friends
Go ahead and take a short rest in the windmill, or in the shadow of the windmill outside. Nothing happens. Roll your dice.
Chubs just meditates for ki. He spends the time focusing on the wellbeing of the children.
Barnaby tells Misalyk a 45 minute long bone-crushingly boring story about a knight who raised a pig to guard his greenhouse.

We've search this place completely, right?
oh, and before the rest I second win for 6 and burn a hit die during the rest 11
