This, this isn't how it's supposed to happen. I'm supposed to be cutting things.
On Føpé's next turn he will attempt to break free. -1
It looks like the previous roll should be read as a 3. I'm experimenting with trying to automate my halfling ability to re-roll ones.
This will count toward your next turn.
Could you please, in the future, just hold your post until I say it's your turn? Otherwise it gets confusing. I had written "Now is Barnaby, Puddin, and Ireena." That did not include you. Which is not a big deal in this case, but please pay attention to that stuff because there will be times when it matters.
Thanks!
As for everything else, I'll try to get to it later today. I have a busy day at my regular job right now. :)
Hey all -- Josh walked me through how to properly roll for the Spiritual Weapon so I did go in and edit my original roll. Full disclosure. Moving forward I'll create a new reply so that it doesn't appear that I'm re-rolling.
Puddin, Spiritual Weapon is a powerful spell. You get to cast it and use it in a single bonus action. Which means you still have your regular action and your move, if you want. And because the spiritual weapon hangs around, you can use it again next turn, as just a bonus action!
So you pretty much still have your whole turn. The only thing you've used is a bonus action (though your adze missed). What do you want to do?
Blue: Read harder Mr. DM Sir. Puddin also cast sacred flame.
Quite. Oops.
The arcane blast appears to have no effect on the monster.
The adze is a beautiful thing, with a slender, contoured handle, and a short, broad blade. It is a formidable weapon, wreathed in a purple aura, as it floats in the air. Puddin, using it for the first time, fumbles a bit with the controls and misses. It does feel good, though, and she knows that it will serve her well, if she survives this encounter with the giant spiders.
Those of you who see Ireena can tell at a glance that she is torn between her instinct, which is to run up and try to stab an evil thing, and Barnaby's advice to stay out of the fray. For the moment, she is still following Barnaby's advice. She will delay her turn.
Fope has already gone, and failed his strength check. Kif, you're up, then the spiders.
Ok. You could just give me a conditional: if that hits, then such and such; if it misses, then so and so. I’ll check when I get home but I think it misses.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I should have done that, I will in the future
Depending on whether the spider is dead or alive (probably just fine since I probably missed) I'm going to use action surge to make another attack on this spider or the one to the west.
The first attack does, indeed, miss. But the second one is a huge blow! The spider recoils, and you wonder if it's changing its bug-mind about whether this was a good idea. The one that Barnaby hit with a firebolt does, in fact, shrink back from the force of the blow, and withdraws into the trees. The one in the middle moves to Fope and, somehow, manages to miss him. Despite the advantage it has, associated with Fope being ensnared in a web. The one in Kif's face attempts to bite him, but Kif manages to block it with his shield and it misses.

Continuing on the fire bolt train. I will attack the one that is withdrawing I I can see it, or the one that Kif hit if I can’t. If it’s the one that is running away then, with overly dramatic aplomb, You will not run off to lurk in the forest and attack other innocents you foul beast. Instead you will burn in righteous fire.

I've always wanted to try this. Shar....I feel your powers within me.
Puddin invokes a Spiritual Weapon! A glowing image of an adze -- a simple tool perfected by her tribe back in the day -- floats in front of her.
Puddin's adze will go after the spider attacking Kif:
Attack: 7
Spiritual Weapon: 7
Sigh...I'll understand this dice thing one day....Ben, can you provide some assistance?
This will count toward your next turn.

Puddin will then follow up with a Sacred Flame cantrip on the same spider.

“Hey Puddin, you’ve got a nice adze!”
Blue: out recreationing this evening, mostly unlikely I’ll be able to respond much

Is there no map any more?
Interesting. You didn't see it in Roll20? I thought I saw you log in there. Would you check again, please?
I see it now, before it was just a plain grid
Kif swings at the spider next to him 14
if it hits 5
my turn isn't over yet, just need to know if that hits first
