(Could Altani make out the symbol on the war banners? - Perception16
Altani stands by the Sargent. "Well fought Sargent. I will say a prayer to Mielikki for those you have lost this day and wish they find a swift path to the Eternal Blue Sky. We have helped to deal with the ogre who found its way inside, as well as the southern group of invaders. I believe we have already saved the Magistrate, I will head back and let them know to send a raven to the Southtower."
She pauses for a second. "Those orcs, do you know who the leader was that called them off?"

With an applause, Sylmeris comes out of hiding, "Wonderful! Truly impressive." A female elf appears from the shows of the building, her auburn hair falls parted over her shoulders and midway down her back. A few plaits either side pulled back to join a graceful loop before falling to join the rest. With a sly smile and casual steps as her deep blue eyes catches each of the people around her. Her pupil-matching silk gilet covers her neck-to-toe dark grey leather armour and tight, but durable, dark boots. While she has hand-guards, they're finger-less.
"Excuse me, where are my manners?" With swift spin that leads into a graceful bow, "I am Sylmeris Dal'thien. I am performer and I was doing very much that..." Her smile fades as she looks over the raiding monsters, "before this all happened. I had to help; civilians are a coward's target." Her face softens as she turns back to the group, but the smile doesn't return, "would you, perhaps, know more about this?"
Dewi flowed back into her two legged form and looked about for the two most wounded defenders among her new companions and the Silverstars.
She let others talk, this was not her place...
Medicine: 25
Dewi's open transformation gains her few startled looks from the people around her, but as she begins to tend wounds, those looks quickly turn to appreciation for the most part. Unable to do as much as she might otherwise have done with bandages and other healing supplies, the gifted healer nevertheless manages to help the lone medic on the field with the most severely injured guards. One of those that she helps to save is the badly wounded spear wielder that Dewi had fought alongside against the ogre. The now prone woman, lying atop a stretcher, reaches out to clast Dewi's wrist in thanks, squeezing weakly as she croaks out, "Thank you, stranger! The mother's blessings upon you!"

"Sergeant Leetha, what was that all about? Does that happen a lot?"
Turning to Dewi, Kestrell asks: "Oh! Hello it has been awhile since I've seen a druid. I saw you hamstring that giant Ogre, nice job. Can you taste Ogre still?"
As Kestrell turns to address the sergeant, he notices the lizardwoman's gaze locked on Dewi. Finally registering the sorcerer's comments, Leetha turns to the half-elf to say, "What? The tall, lean Silverstar officer quietly refuses healing when the medic approaches, sending the healer instead to look after the wounds of others nearby. Turning to face Altani, Leetha nods in both respect and appreciation, saying as she walks towards the sundered palisade gates,

[OOC] Altani percieved the following:
The details on the distant banners were impossible to make out clearly in the darkness, especially amidst the smoke and lingering disorder following the battle, but Altani's sharp, focused gaze did make out the outline of an image upon each of the banners - a shape resembling an upside down Y with a circle where the symbol's three branches met.

Mazin ran with the others, grabbing his javelin from the Ogre as he runs past. As they reach the northern gates, his rage starts to subside and he looks around at the end of the battle.
He is slightly amazed at Dewi's transformation. Then he looks on at the carnage of the battlefield. Mazin has fought animals and monsters, but he has never been in a battle of this scale before.
He looks down at Leetha, with a sadness in his eyes. "I'm sorry we were not here earlier. We came in from the East. There was a breach in the Western walls as well. I will be of little use with the wounded, but I should be able to help with the fortifications. Let me know where you need me....."
He averts his gaze. "I... Thurk.... fell to one of the Orcs, I don't know how he fairs now. Alcalde is looking after him.... If I was faster, he would not have fallen. I'm sorry." He hangs his head in shame.
With a deep breath, he raises his head and looks about. "The past is the past, we must look to the future. I will help where I can." With that, he will head off to start moving rubble and whatever heavy debris needs to be moved, and just generally help with the repair effort.
Altani nod and pats the Sargent on the back as she walks off. Looking to the other, "I will quickly go and let Alcalde know to send the raven to the Southtower, then I will return and help you fortifie this place as best we can Mazin."
Turning, the centaur trots back into town towards Alcalde and delivers the message. She also checks on Thurk and if he is alive and still wounded, cast a cure wounds to help his injuries.

"Dewi, huh. Nice to meet you." Kestrell studies her face intently. "I'm excellent with names."
Yes, we've been trying to figure out these murders, but ran into some trouble on the way back to Ambersilt. Thanks for your help, by the way."

" Later. People need healing now. And there is work to do on repairs if you have the means."
She headed off towards the injured...
